First post, thanks for reading
I searched a bit to try and find an answer on this.
I've recently got to customizing my atrix
I've got Go Launcher

fancy widget and a few others
in the "screen shot" thread under the atrix forum I keep seeing people with customized icons in their system notification bar on the top of the phone.
Just wondering how I can edit this, any help is appreciated.

I am not sure but i found a site where ppl post their ROMS and their launchers they use to get customized icons in notification bar. Here it is: http://iamandroid.com/group/rootedd1users/forum/topics/what-rom-are-you-using
Or are you talking abt this?: http://androidforums.com/samsung-moment/42725-theme-dark-ages.html
If you are, there is a tutorial on that here: http://androidforums.com/samsung-moment/42724-guide-how-change-your-notification-bar.html
Hope this helps!!

[Q] Change dock in ADW theme template?

I know this isn't the question section, but I searched and noticed that others asked questions about themes, etc., and their threads weren't removed.. so I'm assuming it is ok.
In the ADW theme template, exactly how do you change the dock icons? I have been searching for quite sometime, and as much as I hate asking questions, I'm completely stuck here.
It is very easy to change the application icons.. but in the README it does not mention how to change the dock icons. I've tried opening other themes and viewing how they were done, but even then when I tried to use their docks as references, my theme's dock still never changed. Very irritating =/
Could someone educate me here?

No, it's really not, there is a General thread and a Q&A thread you should use to ask. But what the hell, changing the icons is pretty easy, long press on one and let go without moving it, you'll have the option to edit it. Pick your icon through that.

Yea I figured it wasn't a good idea, and you didn't get what I was meant.. I guess I didn't phrase it correctly.
I'm trying to develop an ADW theme, my base is the theme template provided here. In the theme template changing applications icons is very easy, however changing the dock action buttons is not. It doesn't tell you how to do so, and using dock icons from other themes doesn't seem to be effective.
Basically I'm asking people who have developed ADW Launcher themes with the theme template how they have managed to create their own docks, and alter the theme's widgets and other factors.. not just the icons. It doesn't seem like it would be this irritating ._.

[Q] Editing Notification Bar Without Flashing?

Hi, I just recently got my first smartphone which I absolutely love but the UI urks me a little. That being said I apologize if this is in the wrong section or if this has been asked before but I could not find my question asked anywhere. Perhaps my google-fu is weak.
Question: Is it possible to replace the battery icon in the notification bar with text that says the current battery percentage on a rooted phone without flashing the device to a ROM?
I have seen some applications that do this but I want to replace the current icon and display, not add to it.

congratulations on your first smartphone, and welcome to xda
there may be launchers available that will do this, but i doubt it - i use go-launcher which doesn't
but if you are unhappy with the ui already, then i would guess you will soon be unhappy with something else and that will be the time to start looking into rooting and flashing like the rest of us round here

I am not quite sure if this was an answer? I basically want to make the system show the current battery percentage in a percentage like the app on the left in pink instead of the default battery meter in right. I want to make the system display it differently rather than having an application display it. Does that make sense?
My question is (I know I need to root first) do I need to flash a rom and change things or can I do a simple edit?

[Q] Notification Widgets (Widgetlocker)

Hi guys!
For the last few hours, I have been looking for some type of widget displaying missed calls and unread messages, for my widgetlocker lockscreen.
Ideally it would be showing when there are missed calls or messages, and be gone when there are none. Something like the notifications you'd see on the iPhone's lockscreen.
Something like the notifications on GO Locker iPhone Lockscreen HD by ProArt (Appearently I can't post links since I'm new here, but just search that on google play :3 )
Or perhaps the ones on Cute Lover Go Locker by KOOL HD GO LOCKER THEMES (Also on google play.)
Anyone know any widgets that would work for that? I'd be much appreciative, since I have been searching for a long time.
And I really don't know if I am just a bad investigator, or it just doesn't exist.
Personally, I hope for the first one.
Anyways. Thanks in advance!
Welcome, I hope your issues/questions gets addressed. Until then here is some information for you Thanks.

help finding a skin/theme

Hi, I have a one x on ATT, 2.20 rooted running cm10.
I have finally gotten a little settled on the way my phone works and now i want to change the looks. I've posted screenshots below. First off, I want a clock/weather widget that is similar to the one I have on my lockscreen. I found that as the dafault for cm10 and i have no idea how to get one for my homescreen. Can someone point me to a place where i can find a bunch of widgets or that specific kind?
Also, I want to change my notification bar,not just a black strip, and the icons(in the notification bar and home screen). How would i get to that? Am i suppose to look for cm10 skins (because a lot of them on the playstore seem like the same thing, rehashed with different colors)?
I've really enjoyed this forum and has helped me a lot (i just rooted it last night) and would really appreciate some help ! Thanks!
*ok i cant link outside of this site. any way to show these pics?

[Q] Just updated to EOS 4 wingray build 197

Hello, just updated from ICS and liking new build 197, but need a little assistance, please.
I saw some posts about Google now and installed Google search. Got the voice search, but got this terrible looking, IMO, huge bar across the screen near the top that is somewhat translucent and it is the Google search bar, or something like that. It had a little microphone in the right end.
I did not like the look of the bar and even though there is a search widget that is much smaller and you can choose which screen to put it on, the huge ugly one is persistent on all screens and I do not see how to remove, re-size, or do anything with it.
I uninstalled the Google search and it went away.
I updated to the next nightly when it came out, build 198. It was there by default. Bummer. I used a nandroid to recover back to build 197.
I then noticed the next day a new build, 199. Maybe this fixed it as i cannot see where anybody would want that huge bar across the top of all their screens, so I updated to 199. Shoot, it was still there. Nandroided back to 197.
Could some kind soles please help me with this thing, I would like to keep up with the builds as the devs are doing a great job, but I need to do something with that bar. It may be in the menus somewhere, as i really do not understand many of the choices available in the builds.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Chris.
Use Nova Launcher. You can turn off the search bar in its settings. I am using the free version.

Thanks for the reply. I have installed Nova Launcher and found where to get rid of the search bar, many thanks.
One more question, please.
In settings/EOS Control Center/Navigation I have Glass checked and Glass effect set to nav bar=130 and statusbar=135. But the two bars remain black. Is there a setting in Nova that is overriding this setting? Could you please point it out so I can get the bar's background to being almost clear again?
Thanks in advance, Chris.
I never used that effect and don't see a setting. You can try this thread and/or put a request in.
