Rooted, need help with AirAudio connection! - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello!
I`m currently on the Unibase BOG8 V2 kernel, and stock 5.1.1 rom on my S6 Edge. One of the main reasons for me to do this in the first place was to get the phone talking with my AirPort Express from Apple.
My problem is that the connection between my phone and my AirPort is seriously unstable. And have been talking with the developer of AirAudio on email, and Martin Lehmann says that he thinks the kernel/rom on the phone is stopping AirAudio from working. I have tried to adjust the CPU speed to "performance-mode" without any better luck.
My question now is, have any of you here got any ideas of an kernel that is compatible with AirAudio? Or any other suggestions that may help fix this problem. As those of you that are experts already can see now, I`m not one of you. So a little step-by-step would be really helpful.

I use unikernel and had similar issues.
Beta 7 with multitasking tweaks (the top option in the installer) and turbo mode enabled seems to be the way to go, much more stable than anything else I've tried.
BTW.. Airaudio support is seriously good isn't it!?
Good luck!
PS I suspect this should have been posted in the apps and themes forum

Can you tell me where to find this beta 7 you use? Did you install it using Odin? Not very good at this as you problaby figured out by now...[emoji28]

questions for Custom ROM users

I have been running PRIME2.11 pretty much since i rooted when razorclaw was released,i really really have liked it way beyond the stock rom and would really be fine with it, if i couldnt change it ever again Roach has done an outstanding job!
My first question is...Does anyone know if Prime is hardware rendered or not (i have searched including reading close to every post in the prime dev thread) I notice all the other ROMS i could find it mentioned in the rom description, and from my understanding stock HC uses software rendering which many say is the reason for the performance lag.
next question is does anyone think it helps from their experience.
Next ?, Roach is busy with bigger and better things i hear so i dnt htink hes going to update PRIME unless its imperative. The other ROMS have made the recent updates comforming to the recent asus update....As much as i love PRIME im wondering if i should check out REVOLVER or KRAKED is it worth risking a problem flashing my b80 with no nvflash to falll back on or wait for ICS.....(realistically id like to try em all and change all the time cuz i get bored easy im just worried that all it takes is one problem and i have a 500 dollar paperweight.
?....for those who have tried several of the roms whats your input on choice, if i were going to go to one rom from PRIME to wait for ics ,
And finally Provided i follow the proper steps flashing whatever, and i check hashes to verify downloads and im consistent and careful, is there anymore chances of a bricked device with b80 and beyond or is it just that if it does have problems theres no failsafe with NVFLASH. Is there any evidence to point that newer devices have had problems more frequently when flashing
thank s in advanced and i have exhaustively searched for information pertaining to these questions just wasnt satisfied with what i found
Can't help you with the rendering or multi ROM questions, but I can respond to if Prime 2.1.1 enhances my experience, and yes it does.
I spent a lot of time trying to solve my corporate VPN issue (IPSEC with group ID and password). Prime was the only ROM I could successfully utilize, with the VPNC widget.
Now when I travel, I only carry my Transformer, and use VM through VPN to access my corporate desktop. Never need to worry about syncing or losing files.

what are the "must haves" for the tf101?

Hey guys I have never owned a tablet before, and finally picked up a tf101 with keyboard for a sweet price on CL.. and I want to give this tablet thing a real fair shot. That being said, I have tinkered around with android cellphones for a while, Im not a 100% noob but not as clever as most of you guys.
anyways I want to cut down on the amount of reading to do and boy there is a bunch , its the same song for every device/vehicle I buy, Purchase product, then spend the next couple months reading your brains off on a forum related to the product. (need to cut down on the reading... gf always on my case lol)
What are the most popular mods, accessories , settings (I will check into all the various kernals and Roms myself) apps. What are some life changing functions I can perform with the tf101 that would make me wish I got into tablets a lot sooner?
pretty much, I like the device and it looks real sleek and cool... just not sure what to do with it now , lol.
thanks in advance
Must have for me - Root - install custom rom - install kernel.
My PERI tool makes this a one-click from latest stock. I highly recommend you skip all the issues people have with stock and go straight to a great rom like ARHD, AOKP, or Megatron. :]
Other - counterstrike mobile, yes
This can be tough to answer because Android, unlike granny smith, has many things to read about and tinker with. I have had the tab for a while and tried numerous different roms and kernels. Each have slightly different responses and it depends on your tinkering desire.
I push my tab to the limits and try to do everything it wasn't originally designed for. Unfortunately....a lot of reading.
At any rate, my life changing functions were very quick access to RDP and VNC to home computers. I can also view my home security video cameras from the tab.
SSH to my phone is another plus for me.
I'm still contemplating attempting to install Linux on the tab as well.

I have it installed in an image loop and up and running fine on my B80 SBK2. It is slow and doesn't have any sound and I can't figure out what to do next in terms of getting a decent speed from it because there is pretty much no information out there other than getting it running. I know decent speed is possible because I had a WebTop phone.

anyways , I couldnt resist and already started reading and have rooted and installed rom... gonna try out some new kernals
but my main issue right now is ad-hoc.. Im trying to figure out if there is actually a real fix for it, but its all pretty confusing
I just made this thread regarding it

Tell me more on your tether issue. I tether the tf to my phone using built in tether function through the aopk rom. The tablet picks it up just fine. There is a lot of confusion between adhoc and infrastructure mode also but there are a lot of articles on the subject.
Define what you want to do and what way you want the data to flow would help out for a better answer I think.

hey tom, I think I have solved my problem, I applied the suplicant fix that was in this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1438297
and it has been working since, I havnt used it too much yet but so far so good
was that what you were going to suggest to me?
My phone is a rooted tmobile vibrant running tmobile web , I dont have a native tether app on this rom and I didnt want to mess with my phone much either. (been over a year since I installed a rom or even wiped, its getting too old for me to want to invest time into it)

I have heard this option many times but for quite some time ago when I was using Wifi tether for root users on the phone I had to select galaxy nexus cdma and netd master so the tablet would recognize.
Now things are becoming different such as the aopk rom and I use them on both the tf and my samsung fascinate. I stopped using the separate tether app since the built in function did all the same things.
I personally suggest a rom like this to make sure your phone and tablet can all peform the same functions.
Glad it worked for you though.

Very Disappointed in Cyaonogenmod

Been using Cyanogenmod for a week now. Very dissapointed in the fact that my bluetooth audio sounds like AM radio. Also I get extremely bad echo during calls. Tried CM10 and 10.1. Both have the bluetooh issues.
Sure its a little bit faster. But, I rooted and installed a custom rom in hopes to IMPROVE me phone experience and I got just to opposite.
I'm considering going back to the rooted stock rom but I can't seem to find the link to the original latest verizon rooted rom. I didn't make a backup. Can anybody help me locating it?
On another note, I'm willing to try another custom rom if someone can vouch for it and ensure that there are no major bugs like CM10.
Should've bought an iPhone o_o but really the developers spend there personal time making these roms not for money but for us and themselves so if you're "disappointed" in them then make your own or try others, read threads and find out bugs before you flash.

Don't use bluetooth so can really comment about it, however there are some great touchwiz roms in the Android Development section I stay away from the Original Android Development just because I have found too many issues.
As for some suggestions Synergy is pretty cutting edge though you may have to play with voltages if you install ziggy's kernal. Clean rom is another nice option. Hyperdrive and Delta have also run solid for me. Currently running Beans 12 and it is almost everything I can ask for, if a 5x6 launcher were included it would be perfection for me.
I would say to install twrp as your recovery, if you haven't done so, and install a rom and run it for a few days and see how it handles. Make a backup, twrp lets you rename them so you can easily restore to your favorite rom, and install something else for a few days. Also you may want to try different kernels as well, KT runs good for me but there are many more to choose from.
Finally just remember that each user runs different apps and has different needs and that while we all hqve the same phone minor variatikns n hardaware and just the way the rom flashes can have different effects such as bluetooth audio interferance or poor battery life or app abc will not work for one person but another has none of tjese problems.
Good luck and just remember that the perfect rom is out there waiting for you. You just need to flash like a madman until you find it.
Check out mastamoon's CM 10.1 rom. His latest 2-28 rom is near perfect. BT audio sounds great, signal handoff isn't as good as TW, but it's good enough as a daily driver. I've had little problems with it, to the point i don't even notice it. Try that and your mind will change.

A. If you have issues with a ROM either post in the ROMs thread or in the Q&A section. Not start a thread in General bashing a ROM developers spent countless hours on. Just a respect thing.
B. Go to original development look for yourself, see what has features you like.
At this point, my phone is just one big tweak.
I'm sorry you're getting echo in calls and problems with BT. Would probably be solvable if you had asked since echo has been fixed for a long time.

responses are laughable
I think its funny, this guy has a valid complaint about how CM 10 is making his Bluetooth sound bad, and weather it's true or not, members just bash the $hit out of him, lol.
To the OP, if you don't like the ROM or something is glitchy, I've done two things in the past when I've experienced this.
1. make a backup (I use my backup root), and then boot into recovery, wipe (cache, davlik, system, and Format), then reflash your ROM.. OR
2. Find a new ROM and try that out. Currently I'm running the latest CleanRom with Morphology 1.5, and Ac!d audio..I have no issues with sound or bluetooth.
I hope that helps man, good luck and remember. Keep Calm and Flash Roms.
There are at least two threads where a total noob can seek help to fix the two issues he has, and one more where he can read how to fix his issues. Perhaps there are better ways to address his concerns?

To the OP I say I hope you find a solution to your problem. Keep flashing and find what you need brother. To everyone else I am pretty new to this particular medium (xda forums) but looking at almost every topic I've seen I gather one very singular feeling. Please xda take away the "post new topic" option. Its pretty obvious that every single question that can possibly be asked has already been answered. So why ask any question. They are apparently evil and the world wide web has only limited space so lets please not clog it by asking a question twice *gasp*. There is a section for every device and build for developers only that by all means should be kept as streamlined and clutter free as possible but in general forum questions should not be so vehemently discouraged.

I am also disappointed in the CM rom's performance...but I think the blame (for my issues, at least) resides totally with Samsung.
The rom itself works great, but when you're in the middle of a town and everyone else in the restaurant has 4g and you've only got 1x (not even 3g)...well...that's an issue.
Wish they would release the friggin RIL so I could just stick with a 4.2 rom. Grrrr!

I don't know if this is the right place to post this or not. I recently had to return my phone to stock because my phone needed to be re provisioned to activate it again. This happens when you flash multiple roms apparently. I got my phone working and commenced to do everything to flash back to CM 10.1. I noticed I can make calls however, my 3g data will not come up. So, I have flashed back to stock and everything works fine. Anyone know of a tip that might resolve this issue. I was using the nightly from yesterday.

Me too, my only real issues with CM (or any non-TW ROM) stem from the fact that the radio interface has not been released by Samsung and therefore the reverse-engineered AOSP RIL will probably never be as good as stock. It's not limited to signal strength issues, you also can't take full advantage of the phone's World Phone capabilities with a non-Touchwiz ROM. Unfortunately for me, that's a deal-breaker, my phone needs to work as a phone first and foremost and if Touchwiz ROMs have a better and more functional radio, I have to stick with that.
I have been using the latest nightlies of Cm and they have been running great. phone works great except in some areas where I can't get a signal with TW roms either.
I had CM running on my Dinc2. Since getting the S3, I've been running CleanROM with mods. (when I was on CR5.6 I was using KindaCrap Mods and now that I'm on CR 6.0 I"m using Andy Bones' AOSP Theme, which gives it a lot of the feel of CM).

Need Help - Custom Rom and Kernal - GT 2 7.0

Hi , my name is Ryan
For over two weeks, I had been searching out Rom and Kernal mods for my Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 (GT-P3100 w/3G 16 gb model)
I use my tab for learning, internet, and some old games I own, that are S-NES, and PS1 games, and one PsP.
I need help to inform me which Roms, and or Kernals that allows OC of the CPU and GPU as I've seen some setups that people had.
I'm not doing this as for experimentation, doing it for my personal use. Tab 2 was giving to me as a gift, and its not brand new, so no concerns about the warranty. Plus, I already Rooted the Tab myself. Finda the info for that wasn't hard, and not complicated, plus it went well. No problems there.
So, the help I need is which Roms, and or Kernal choices there are, preferably with 3G still working, I will serious consider using Rom without the 3G tho, as I'm not using it right now, and may not ever use it. I'm just considering using it later, but not likely.
One of the Roms I was considering is the Blackhawk Next Kernal, and Slim Kat. To me, I don't care asmuch for the fancy looks, I'm more of a power user, and disable or delete I don't use, or run in the background when its not being used, and its just taking up system resources. I prefer performance over fancy looks. Their doesn't seem to be that many Roms that allow control of the GPU, and CPU speeds. I used SetCPU, but as I found, it seems it cannot normally be overcloaked, and if the info I read , if I understand it correctly, it because I'm still using Stock Rom, which is still locked in from the Rom itself.
Forgive me, if I have this in the wrong forum, as this is my first time, maybe 2nd time. Seems like I had been here before, but long time ago, anyway. Ohh, BTW, one BIG problem I had trying to use , or do the process of using Blackhawk, is it is in German language, including the YouTube videos. Have not seen any in English. I and for the most part technically minded, and knowledgable, just I will also need specific info of the install precess so I don't end up bricking my Tab 2. I'ver already have looked over different other Rom of YouTube videos of how they are install, So I kinda got a general idea of steps involved to burn in new Rom, or program (or download, if you want to get technical
So, First off, I need to find what choices of Rom there are that's pretty STABLE and most buld for performanve more so then just looks, that has CPU and GPU OC capable.
Your help will be much appreiacted.
Ryan
PS - I've been building and repairing PC's over 35 years, and long time ago, made custom rom for the C-64 using an EEprogrammer device that was made for the C-64 computer on its expansion port (IEEE port). I already know its no where the same as today, except for replacing data. Just throwing that in there as a bit of history.
Please, Anyone with knowledge of any or some custom roms that allows overclocking the CPU & GPU
Blackhawk I know about, but only German language . Can't find specific instructions that are in English. There was a German Youtube with a link in comments for English, but that link isn't working. Please tell me any other roms that you might know of that allows OC of the CPU & GPU
In fact I'm not totally sure if its locked in by the stock rom, or just the Kernal?
My Tablet is a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 16gb w/3G (GT-P3100)
Your help is much appreciated.
Ryan

[Q] [HELP]Suggest me >THE MOST< stable ROM w/ or wo/ BLunlck. FOR "E"

Hello everyone, first I must tell y'all that I was on XDA before, but I just forgot password, both e-mail and account one. :highfive:
Greets from Croatia.
Anyway, I'm familiar with custom ROMs, as I had Xperia X8 before.
Now it's Xperia E.
Back then I was into this stuff, but now I just want ROM that won't crash, lag, hang, or freeze.. I will use this phone as everyday phone, I don't wan't nervous brakedown.
So, I will not use any heavy apps, eventually Facebook, or more like just Browser (built-in one or 3rd party, I'll see) with FBmessenger and ofcourse - music player. The most important thing is the following -> I want not to have problems with answering or hanging up calls, neither with GSM/3G/WiFi network. I want it all work as smooth as it can.
K den, I don't want to unlock my bootloader if I don't need to. I just want faster and more stable ROM than stock, because stock one lags and hangs. is there any good, but I mean I can't belive this **** is so stable and fast good ROM for stock kernel?
BUT, if there are benefits that will help me with what I want (such as better stabillity, better performance, less bugs) I'll unlock by bootloader and install an another kernel.
TO KEEP IT SIMPLE:
Q: Is there ROM with no bugs and no lags, hangs and crashes? If yes, is there one for stock kernel? If no, I'll flash new kernel.
I WANT:
-satisfying performance, better than stock rom.
-calls app to work flawlessly
-overclock if possible to get better performance
-central european character support (čćšđž)
I DON'T:
any lags, crashes, hangs, freeze etc. that will mess up with everyday (basic) usage. If it's an some kind of emergency I don't want my phone to freeze
IF I HAVE TO
I'll flash custom kernel, but first suggest me one that don't need BL unlocked. (if there is any stable ROM for "stock and locked" at all)
So, which is the best combination? Which one to choose? I already checked out those tuts, and general but I just don't know where to begin.
STOCK? is this good?

EDIT:
is this the best choice? http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-j-e/development/rom-nexboost-cm11-camera-t2852519
Ok, this is the worst community I've ever come across. Prove me wrong... please. I can't believe that there are no users here that can tell me, yes I use *that* rom and it's very good.
I'm going for Nexboost than... I hope I picked good one.
