I did everything properly still wifi not working
i unlocked my bootloader using official method then my phone was in a boot loop (flashed official firmware which apparently fixed it)
Then installed twrp recovery (downloaded from official website , btw display flickers while in recovery)
Then i flashed primexperia and resurrection , then flashed thunderzap (it came bundled with philz recovery , also tried installing 14.4 and 14.6 version)
Still wifi not working
I tried installing 14.6 (normal one + edited version for philz 14.6 too )
Still wifi not working , help me pls

Yes.. If you come from stock kernel, you must flash kernel with flashtool or fastboot or flashgordon. You can flash custom kernel with CWM if you not in stock kernel.

you have to flash the kernel that breaks wifi so you can have CWM, then install this ROM, then flash the extended stock back to have wifi.
When v2 is released in the next few days, you will have to flash the kernel that breaks wifi to get CWM, then install v2, then flash the extended stock back to have wifi.
Only way to have wifi and be able to flash is flash the different kernels to get CWM to flash then back to get wifi.
Flash ThunderZap, do anything you want in CWM and flash Extended Stock V2 for working wifi
If he would just add CWM to this kernel....it would be perfect

changelog v3: since we're using unlocked bootloader, so :-
* compiled from stock .17 sources with minimal changes ( only patched to fix recovery and make it compile )
* integrated cwm
* updated superuser app and binary
* stock .17 ramdisk
* ro.secure=1 ( =0 can break things )
* /system and /rootfs mounted as read only for security
this is one of very few reasons why one should buy unlocked devices

I was using CM12.1 and due to crashes i decided to install CM12, and for easiness i flashed twrp recovery to FOTAKernal using TWRP Manager app.
But TWRP failed to install any rom, so i flashed stock firm (not latest) using flash tool.
Then using in fast boot mode, flashed Philz Recovery by command "fastboot flash boot <boot.img>"
got Philz Recovery and using that recovery installed CM 12.0
is this clear?
Did I had to install latest firmware before flashing CM12.0 to get wi-fi turned on?!!!

Hi All
My E6653 is no longer booting after freezing while running a custom rom. When I boot, it shows the Sony logo, then the light flashes red. It does not let me enter TWRP.
I have tried flashing original firmware using flashtool, repairing using xperia companion and the same issue happens.
I have tried flashing different custom kernels and TWRP versions. The only version of TWRP that works is TWRP 2.8.7.0 by AndroPlus but I cannot access the device through usb and adb does not work.
If anyone has any ideas on how to fix I would be super grateful.

Thanks for getting back to me. The phone froze while using the Plex app, and after I force rebooted, the boot issue happened.
I was running V2.3.3 of Xperia X ROM by _LLJY and the kernel that came with that custom rom.

Well the Rom's kernel which u were using does not include TWRP, just try one of these solutions :
1/ flash ur original kernel, or reflash ur official firmware using flash tool and DON'T EXCLUDE any thing and wipe user data / apps log... ETC simply do a clean install with out any exclusion
2/ If u have ur original kernel patched with TWRP img inside, directly flash it using flashtool and enter TWRP.

- I tried this with 2 different official firmwares and no luck. I made sure I didn't exclude anything. It still gets stuck on the Sony logo

Try this: Install Androplus kernel and Twrp Recovery which comes with him.
Find flashable prerooted firmware for your model than connect phone to pc to transfer it when you are in Twrp and than wipe cache,dalvik and data and try to flash prerooted zip.

Tried this also. kernel and recovery seem to install fine. But when I press VOL up or down, it does not go into twrp.
I managed to get into TWRP using the version from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z5/development/twrp-3-0-2-cm-aosp-roms-t3373008 with AndroPlus kernel. But, cannot access the phones storage through computer. TWRP shows failed to mount /usb-otg (invalid argument).
