Quick question, I've rooted with kingroot ,replaced with SuperSU and have twrp as my recovery with locked bootloader,my question is do I need to unlock bootloader to reinstall stock recovery.
Thanks

you can try to flash stock recovery the same way you flashed your twrp.
if it doesn't work you'll need to unlock bootloader and flash stock via that.
Unlock the bootloader - it costs nothing (just to send an email to Huawei) and then you can do whatever you want.
Anubis
Yes unlocked bootloader and now back to stock.
Thanks

When I received my device I got an update to L29 B103, after that I unlocked boot-loader..
Now, I can not re-lock or flash any .img files like twrp or boot images...
Is there any solution to this??
did u do anything else aside from unlocking the bootloader? flash twrp? root? flash any other rom?
if so, and uve tried relocking the bootloader when ure NOT 100% stock, then youre out of luck, the bootloader gets stuck in a kind of lock/unlock limbo...

I am getting the following error message FAILED (remote: root type is risk) when I try to relock the bootloader
fastboot oem relock ****************
...
FAILED (remote: root type is risk)
finished. total time: 0.970s
Before I got the error message I had done the following:
- flashed to stock recovery (phone is not rooted any more)
- factory reset
- Someone know how to resolve this issue?
- Could this be fixed by installing fresh and untouched complete firmware from huawei?
- If yes, some know which link to use for my device and version?
Model number: HUAWEI NXT-L09
Buld number: NXT-L09C432B152
All help is highly apprechiated.
Instead of factory resetting after flashing stock recovery, try reflashing stock rom using dload method. Then try relocking.

You know where I can download the exact rom for my device?
Try in here... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3317588. You need to find the full ones at about 1.4gb. Or try in here... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3358793.

I have NXT-L29...I tried to relock with somboons tool and also get same error...FAILED (remote:root type is rist) AND this was after flasing stock rom ...no root... stock recovery.
Check if twrp still exist. Also check for any system changes that you did.
dload the latest stock then factory reset and then relock
Hi @bluheart
The latest stock download you have linked to your posts at the bottom....can I update my NXT-L29 C900 B188 with it just using the dload method? or must i debrand first.
You have to use your original firmware and then relock

Flash latest stock firmware via TWRP and reboot into Huawei recovery and wipe and reboot. You will be on stock
Can you please explain the process
Best Regards

The only way I got this relocking error sorted was:
1. remove root completely
2. flash stock recovery
3. dload stock rom
This process locks the boot loader automatically and it is "Locked" not "relocked"
It works thank you so much for the support

GUYS!!! fIRST OF ALL, STOCK = FULL STOCK, include a CUST mod and OEMINFO.
You must flash it before you relock. It will help u, because I had same problem before. Now, it's FULL BACKED to stock.

You MUST use @somboons tool to change CUST and OEMINFO to the ROM you are wanting to use as stock. If this does not match dload will not lock your bootloader.
Read @somboons threads... it will work if you have all things correct...
Hi! I need to lock a bootloader of my Honor 8. Can you help me please?
I downloaded stock ROM FRD-L09C432B120. What next should I do?
What does "dload" mean? Thank you in advance!
I am on rooted stock B331 and I just received an update to B356 (492 MB). If I acceot the OTA will the bootloader get locked? I know I will most likely loose root and twrp. I'd like to updated but not get locked again. Any advice?
Or should I flash the image file in TWRP along with insecure boot?
If anybody has gone this route please advice. Thanks
huh? thats new! here i thought that once u unlock bootloader and root u dont receive ota updates anymore! how is that possible?!
in any case, whats the big deal about bootloader getting locked? u just unlock it again using your code via fastboot, no problem then flash twrp and supersu, done!

Yeah, I know it is wierd. My bootloader is unlocked, I'm rooted and have twrp installed and received the B356 OTA this morning.
I was hopping to dirty flash so I don't have to go through all the setup process again
true, unlocking BL again would mean that your phone would be reset...
Sent from my Huawei Mate 8 NXT-AL10
You can still do OTA'S with an unlocked bootloader. You should be able to OTA but it may remove root or fail in the process because of root. I always recommend backing up the stock rom in TWRP so you can always go back to it to take an OTA. Fastboot flash the stock rom you're on and the stock recovery then boot up and take the OTA then fastboot flash twrp again.
I have also received the notification for b357 and I am on stock rooted b356...sounds fishy, I am not updating

I'd love it if anybody could make a flashable zip rooted B356 or 357 rom to be safe.
When I got my phone, the unlocking status was unlock allowed: yes
I unlocked the bootloader and installed a custom rom from androplus that had supersu.
after the rom was installed the unlocking status is unlock allowed: no
now I have a nagging notification to update android on my phone and it can't because I'm running a custom rom, and I can't update the rom because the bootloader is locked. what do I do?

So, basically you unlocked your bootloader to flash a custom rom and now you want to receive official ota updates from Sony?
If so, you have to stay in stock roms (flash with flashtool in flashmode or Xperia Compation in repair option) otherwise you need to wait for developer of custom rom you installed for an update.

no not quite, as I said I want to update the custom rom, but I can't flash another rom because my bootloader has been locked and I can't unlock it again.
the escape plan would be to flash stock rom back onto it, but I'd like to keep supersu if possible.

no, the site that provides the guide and key to unlock the bootloader specifically says I can't unlock it if the status says unlocked allowed: no
are you saying I should try anyway? other forums says there is no way around it if unlocked allowed is no.
the reason I haven't tried is the threat of having my data wiped without actually unlocking it

There is an offline update for c636 in this thread post number 3 https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-9/help/help-wiped-products-vendo-bootloop-t3534594/page8
You need sd card and copy the dload folder to ur sd,press 3 buttons, power+ vol up+ vol down till the update start.
Yes I know thought I had on microsd already

But unsure if this will work via flashing only OEM partition as I currently only have L09C34B122 and do not get any updates as Optus Aus are extremely slow at releases. I am trying to getting around extremely over priced debrand of funkyhuawei

3- restore oeminfo for C636 http://www.mediafire.com/?szws87sk7rrkqr6
4- dload c636 offline firmware https://forum.xda-developers.com/ma...products-vendo-bootloop-t3534594/post70465883
5- unlock bootloader again
6-install twrp again
7- flash hw_data for c636b136 http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/...f1/full/hw/spcseas/update_full_hw_spcseas.zip
8-dload c636 offline firmware again to have locked bootloader and get rid of the warning message lol
9 factory rest from settings.
10-use system update to get the latest firmware.
11 done

That's a good question, would Android Pay work on devices who were unlocked, but are now re-locked again?
