I am currently checking for software updates but no update available yet. Once I checked internet. AT&T has already delivered the 5.0 update also a small bug fixing update delivered by AT&T and Samsung.
Would it be something blocking my update ?
Please help me how to go with this

Hello all,
I've completed my search on the forum for a similar issue but have been unable to find it hence this new thread.
Late March i've installed the latest update and since then tethering does no longer work. Let be try to be a bit more specific.
When i switch on the Mobile hotspot, it is recognized by other devices, it even allows these devices to connect however,
on none of these devices internet access is possible eventhough the host has internet access via 4G+.
I've spoken with Vodafone about it and they've told me there's no restriction on tethering as it prohibited by european law. After that
i contacted Samsung, who connected to my phone, cleared cache and some other things. Result, still no solution.
Third, went to a samsung service point where they've investigated and were unable to assist, even after a factory reset it was still not working.
Fourth, done the settings put global tether_dun_required 0 myself, also no success.
Fifth, installed a tethering app, no success either.
I therefore turn to you experts, is anyone able to give me some guidance on what to do next and or what a possible issue could be ?

Welcome to XDA! The next thing I'd try is reinstalling the ROM using Odin. You can download the ROM from www.sammobile.com/firmwares.
BTW, questions would go here. Don't worry about this one--the mods will move it shortly.

Ok, so i have to go to sam mobile for the rom. Next question would be, which one ?
My phone is bought in the UK and i'm in the Netherlands with a dutch carrier, Vodafone NL.
the csc is: G920FBTU3DPB1

AP: G920FXXS3DPB2
I'm a droid noob so sorry for these silly questions

Search on the CSC. You're looking for the UK ROM it's currently running.
Brings me back to my initial question, I'm unable to use tethering which i'm really dependent on in my work.
Are you suggesting a reinstall of the rom ? or should i go ahead with a rom specifically for the netherlands.
p.s. My colleague, same phone, has the same issue.

I wouldn't think that tethering is dependent upon region after an upgrade. I'd flash the ROM for the phone's region first. If that didn't work, then I'd consider a CSC change and flash a ROM for the Netherlands.
This morning a new update was available which I installed successfully. Tethering is now working again

If have the same issue (also NL Vodafone). Since I upgraded to MM tethering is not working, connects without any problem but there is no data transfer. I'm currently running a custom ROM and don't want to change to stock. I updated my modem and bootloader several times. Can anyone pinpoint what exactly is the problem?

i have used to many models of different companies like LG Samsung Sony Huawei but not satisfied except LG & Samsung. Now am using s7edge and no OS update is available except three security updates were available and i dont want to root my mobile. I have learnt that its update will be available on 17th of this month??
if anyone knows plz tell

You need to contact the OEM regarding the same. We don't know when the update wil be released neither can tell you ETA.

Most probably no , there are no official updates , this branded devices usually gets stuck after 1 or 2 updates

If your device has not been rooted, go to Settings - Software update, check updates via OTA.

It s not rooted it s not problem in software i just cant find right firmware for my device since there is 100000 firmwares ... and they totaly confuse me. And when i check for updates in settings it says i got the latest version allready and right now is 6.0.1 instead of 7.0

I think you should contact the customer service of the device manufacture, samsung, to check when it will push Android 7.0 via OTA. In fact, so many manufactures have pushed Android 8.0 for their customers till now.

I tried to contact they got no idea eider they ve told me to bring phone to check or so but phone s from France and im in Bosnia and Herzegovina that s biggest problem..
I had my phone sourced from the US, just to make sure I got the snapdragon variant ,I live in nigeria ,I don't know if the region change is causing the slow update or if I'll end up getting it at all ,please any help regarding what I can do will be appreciated

Please check software update notes before posting.
One UI 5 has not yet been released for that model, so is there no "slow update" happening. You are already updated to the newest current version. When a new update is released, I'm sure you'll get it

When I said "please check notes", checking does not mean posting here in the thread every single day. It means use Google or other means to find the information on the internet yourself.
The update will likely not be released until next year
