Does your S6 give a full charge notification with the wired charger? - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys! I've been noticing something strange after the last update I've got. I received an update of 240mb approximately and after that update my phone doesn't give me the full charge notification like it used to earlier. Only the LED turns green but no beep sound or notification screen turning on does this happen to anyone? And is there any settings that has to be turned on for this to work? Help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Go to recovery mode and wipe cache.

Does your phone give you a beep sound in wired charger? i tried formatting the phone too! doesn't work.

No sound either, not even a screen flash. The LED just magically turns green. I hope it gets at least a screen on notification to avoid overcharging.

Turn off Click Wheel Light

Dear fellow Raphael-owners,
After browsing and searching the forum I still haven't found a thread or registry edit to turn off that ''rotating'' white light which is often showing up under the click wheel.
Is it possible to turn it off?? And ofcourse how...
Thanks!
you mean the notifaction that you have a message or missed call etc? turn it off in settings under sound and notifications
Most likely means when it's charging, that's when it bothers the hell out of everyone. Answer: I haven't seen one that worked yet, good luck.

Thats not what I mean. It is the round light that you see when you're charging
as the other member just said. But you also see it sometimes when its not charging... I really hope there is a registry tweak to turn this off.
yeah it annoy's me to...
It's not only flashing if it';s charged...
It is flashing every X minutes....
I hope anybody has an answer...
Perhaps it's part of the ICI
lol.. bug the hell out of me too..
but some ppl think its cool
I've never seen the rotating light unless I'm charging or have a missed call/sms, etc. (which you can affect by changing your sounds and notifications settings).
So are you saying that you get the charging-style rotating circular light *randomly*?
As for disabling, the general concensus seems to be that it's not a registry entry and that the Smart Device LED API does not affect it. I have a feeling that it is a part of one of the boot-strap procs and in that case a file patch would be necessary. Haven't looked into it, tho. Just an unintelligent guess.
Does it do it with TouchFlo turned off? If it does, then it's part of the ICI
my original complaint - in an earlier threat that i had started - was that the rotating light, on when charging, is a bad thing in a dark room... i turn the phone face down but that stops mute on flip - - so i would like to have the light NOT on when charging
everything else about the light is manageable via notifications - just not the charging indicator

[Q] Samsung Epic Battery Charge Notification

This notification is absolutely ridiculous.....not necessarily because it exists. It's ridiculous because it can't be turned off. What kind of moron engineer comes up with this and, beyond that, what kind of person in power approves it? Samsung wants to sell a dock.....this doc is used by many people at the bedside so they can use their phone as an alarm clock. Along comes this notification in the middle of the night that just sits there until acknowledged. This poses two problems. 1. It lights up and stays lit up. 2. It creates a possible screen burn in situation. I understand that the phone can be configured to still go into sleep mode when the notification arrives. But, that defeats the purpose of using the phone as an alarm clock in the dock. I would like to be able to turn this off without necessarily having to move away from my stock rom or move to clockworkmod. Also, I read on a post from October that the current version moves the notification to the notification bar at the top of the device. However, I just bought my Epic last week and my phone says it is up to date. Yet, the charged battery notification is still the disruptive box in the middle of the screen. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Thanks Much.....
Charged notification PROBLEM SOLVED !
PROBLEM SOLVED !
I saw this suggestion in another forum and it WORKS, so I'm passing it on !
Set the global notifications to SILENT.
Set the notification on Gmail to any ringtone, NOT DEFAULT.
Set the notification on messaging to any ringtone, NOT DEFAULT.
You'll still have a tone when you 1st plug the phone in to the charger, but NO tone when it's fully charged.

[Q] Problem with Inspire LED notification signals

Before I rooted my HTC Inspire 4G, if I recall correctly, the notification LED worked like this: it has two colors, green and orange. When plugged in, it will show orange while charging and green while charged. The LED only blinks to indicate a notification if the screen is off; if not plugged in, it blinks green. If plugged in, it blinks the opposite of the charging color. At least, that's how I think it worked.
What I am certain of is that I can no longer get the notification LED to work properly. I've been trying a number of different ROMs recently--Existz, Revolution, CyanogenMod, CoreDroid, RCMix Energize Blue--and in none do the notification LED work perfectly. Some of them do blink the notification LED, but only if the screen is off and the device is not charging. If it is plugged in--as it is the vast majority of the time--the LED does not blink to signal a new notification.
I've tried the LightFlow app--didn't fix it. I've tried NoLED as an alternative, but am not happy with that.
Is this just a quirk of all the ROMs, and I should expect that? Or could it be that something got messed up in my rooting and romming, and if so, is there a solution?

1. If Im not mistaken it stays solid orange when charging (plugged in)
2. Solid green when fully charged (plugged in)
3. Blinks between orange and green when there is a notification. (plugged in)
As far as it staying blinking it should be is setting when you can shut it off or on. Usually its in the launcher settings that your using not a ROM issue. (if Im not mistaken)
If thats thats your biggest worry your worrying about a knife fight while your holding a gun. (lol) No big issue.
I rooted and flashed LeeDroid to mine. My LED notifications worked after rooting and flashing. When charging it's amber, when fully charged it's solid green. Off the charger it blinks green for a new notification and amber when it needs to be charged. Never noticed it blink between the 2 on the charger. Have you made sure it's been turned on in your settings?
Sent from my Inspire 4G using Tapatalk 2
I am rooted and flashed Revoltution HD 6.3.2 and mine seems to be working as desired.... I assumed you double checked Settings--> Display --> Notification Flash Just to make sure??

http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/general/tutorial-how-to-flash-factory-image-t2513701. After flashing factory images, if you don't see the full 32GB storage you should be seeing, see http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/general/info-storage-nexus-5-data-info-loss-t2534010, section 13.
About battery status/behaviour, it might be battery hw failure or just miscalibration. I'd be extra careful flashing stuff to a device that has abnormal behaviour when it comes to battery.
Thanks for your reply, at the moment everything is working fine, will proceed to flashing stuff if it occurs again, btw will factory reset help ?

Notification LED not turning off

Help! I have a D800 and I woke up in the middle of the night to a blinding light coming from the phone's LED. It's fading to blue from green and then back and its not stopping. There was a amber alert which I've since deleted but the light is not stopping. I've turned off notifications for amber alerts and turned off the LED entirely but it's still not stopping. I have rebooted the phone 3 times. There are no notifications whatsoever now but regardless if the screen is off or not the light is constantly flashing. I called att and of course they have no clue.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Seems like the LED is bothering you. Could be some firmware app update ? Try powering it off ? Or let the battery completely drain and see if it fixes. Never came across anything like it so i am just giving you some things you could try.
