Hi,
Why would you want to do something that harms the phone?
The phone is waterproof, but that means a few drops of water from rain or something like not leaving it in the water completely.

Hi Fadila,
please check this thread about a similar problem: [Q] z1c wont turn on.
If it doesn't help, you may register on xda and post your question in the Sony Xperia Z1 Compact Help and Troubleshooting forum.
You can also check these threads about waterproof quality of the Z1 compact:

Small amount of water entered my Xpera Z3, please help

I was using my phone in the rain, and I accidentally opened the sim-card waterproof slot, and I think some water got into there.
Now every time I start it, it turns on for a few milliseconds by showing the Sony logo and then it turns immediately off.
Please help me, what should I do?

Z5 Water Damage

Short story , yesterday my z5 felt in to water , i was washing something at the sink at it just felt . Took it from the water and surprisse somehow the water got inside even if the flap was closed and now i have some water drops on the camera lens, can't make calls with it without the handsfree and can't play music on stereo speakers because in the taskbar every 3 seconds a notification appears sayng that the headphones are conected then disconnected but on the headphones i can listen to music + the camera app doesn't recognise the front camera anymore. Thanks to the sd810 (heating source) some of the water from the camera is starting to go away. Is there something that i can do with it exept warranty (i don't have that) ? Exept the problems listed above the phone is working perfectly.
Shove it in a bowl of rice for a day or two. Somewhere warm, but not *hot*. Direct sunlight would be okay. Your goal is to evaporate/absorb the rest of the moisture out.

Well , thanks to the hot sd810 the water around the camera is gone and now the back camera, calling and speakers are working fine but the front camera is still not detected by the camera apps maybe it still has some water in that area and it will come back in a few days
It's a fairly bad idea to keep using electronics that you know water has penetrated. I wouldn't be surprised if the front camera doesn't come back, but even still I would recommend doing what I said in my first post.

droped my z1 and used it a lot of times in water , never tought that the z5 could get water damage by a simple splash . I'll leave it at the suntlight to see if the camera will come back. The flap was opened since the splash so the water could evaporate and get out
My phone is working good when used after being submerged in water but everytome i do this every time i get a notification saying that headphones are connected and disconnected for almost 10 mins then it works fine, my phone pass the pressure test perfectly, is this a common issues? I didn't used to have this problem with my old Xperia z1
I intentionally put my Z5 on water and have the same problems as yours, it is normal. Just dry it with a towel, make sure no water drops from the jack port, turn it off and on and done.
What flap?

I was going to ask the same thing until I remembered the SIM/microSD flap on the side.
Looks like i lost the front camera...guess i'll have to use the back one or the front one from the z1..happy that everyting else is working as new
Mine fell in pool. It had problems with audio jack and screen. I put it in the rice over night and problems were gone, but today after using it for about 4-5 hours the screen problem came back. It just became dark gray, without picture, so reset it few times. It shows the first Sony logo for 2 seconds and than becomes dark again. I put it back in rice. How much longer should I left it in?

Send it to Sony right away. They'll sort you out with a replacement/repair.

I turned it on and the screen it's working, but SIM Card not and when I lock the phone after a few minutes the phone turns off by itself...
Right now I'm on Linux ROM on locked bootloader, should I install stock ROM before send it to the Sony repair service?

Restore the phone to stock and send it to Sony, it may be a gamble if you have unlocked the bootloader before however. Make sure it doesn't die while restoring!

It doesnt really matter if it die or not its water damaged anyway.. They should replace or repair it

Depending on your repair center there could be charges
if it dies, in opinion, if under warranty, it would be good for you.
Lots of people have a waterdamaged Z3 after contact with water allthough it is advertised as a waterproof Phone ??
A friend of mine took it's Z3 to the pool to take some pictures in the water and killed the lcd after some pictures.
Not so waterproof after all.
In your case your motherboard got damaged, the motherboard probably gets so hot from the shortened components it shuts itself down. Is the back of the Phone really hot just before it powers off ?
Water itself doesn't kill your Phone, it is water in combination with courant.
The biggest fault most people make when there Phone had a contact with water is trying to power it back on to see if it is still working.
The Phone powers itself off to protect the motherboard from damage when it is short circuit by water.
By trying to power it back on immediatly after the waterdamage , you put courant on the shortened circuit and most likely burn out a component.
Best way to threat a Phone after waterdamage is to take it apart as far as possible and put the parts on a hot plate ( or other heat source) at about 55 degrees Celsius for half an hour.
Afterwards clean away the waterresidu with IPA and a toothbrush before re-assembling the Phone.

Water damage (salt), charging issue.

Hi. My beloved Xperia z5 got exposed to saltwater for 10-15seconds at most. It immediately startet to show signs of damage. Showed headset Jack being plugged in every second, and notifications on and off all the time.
Turned it off, and gave it a fresh water bath. It then worked as normal.
But in the evening when battery had dropped to 3%, I plugged in the charger and it started to show on and off charging all the time. Turned it off and tried again. When plugging the charger it starts, shows startup screen, then shows battery charging with green marks, and switches over to showing red marks and 3%power and goes off. Also the led turns first red, then blue, so yellow and goes off.
Anyone know a solution?
I'd give it a bit of time to dry out tbh... Silica packing gel and a air sealed box will help
u should know that u shouldnt put ur phone in salt water.its not same like fresh one...salt can ruin the components and all metal pieces!!!if u really want to dry out ur phone then i recomend u to put the phone on direct sunlight for an hour or two and it will dry out...i had xperia Z and Z2 and Z5 but the Z5 never went to water due to bad resistance of Z2 i was 30 mins in the fresh water and my screen start to flicker so i emediatly went out and dry it off and then screen worked again like it should(i had luck i gues), so thats why i never tryed Z5 in the water.i was a fool to believe that u can make pictures underwater, yes u can but for what price...water ressistant phones are not ment to dive and swim ...it can survive sudden splash or drop in to the water but thats all.
try pouring rubbing alcohol inside(last resort) and shake your phone violently, then wait for it to dry under the sun. NOTE TAKE THIS AS YOUR LAST RESORT ONLY WHEN SONY REFUSES TO TAKE YOUR PHONE FOR REPAIR
My phone died after get submerged in sea water, it strated to work by it self, strange colored lines apeared at the sreem... then the phone continuaslly vibrates untel the battery die. i got some fogg on both cameras and i could get it out, tryed thusb charger, and does nothing, doesnt turn on, nothing... really dead

Of course, It's your phone. You can do whatever you want with it. But as they are the manufacturer they recommend to not put it complete underwater regardless of the IP Certification it has, you should do what manufacturer recommends

Been a while, and this post got my attention again.. An UPDATE:
I got it working again after i opened it, and gave it a good drying
I have a bug with camera opening randomly. I "fixed" this by just disabling camera app. The phone get "phantom" touchinput, and the opens camera.
Battery is charging fine, and have not had any other bugs related to the water damage.
Im now currently using Samsung S7 Egde, so i do not need this as a daily device.
Have been thinking of selling it, but dont belive i will get so much for it as it has been damaged by water.

You don't call it waterproof and claim it has certified waterproofing capabilities and not recommend putting it in the water.
If it is waterproof, it is waterproof.
