Pardon me if my question is a bit off topic. The kernel is running great thanks to the developer. My only problem is, I used GTv3.1.5 to activate hostspot after flashing de v6 kernel but I cant connect to it even though the signal is broadcasting. Is there something am not doing rite? I checked the settings and everything is ok. Probably am not using the correct version of galaxy tools. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm using the same version GTv3.1.5.apk and all kernel versions have worked for me

The stock modified kernel has the tweaks for deep sleep and the ram issue fixed?

All the existing 5.1.1 kernels work. It was only a security update, nothing else changed

Cool, ill try it out when i get some time!

This kernel thread got quiet... ?

Flashed today and is working like a charm! What a difference thank you so much!

Will flashing this kernel trip knox?

I get random locks creen bootloops anyone else? Is there a stock rooted kernel somewhere there? Im in Ol1 base

So, I'm really new to this rooting method, I'm on ol1, i just download the tar., put it in AP or PDA in odin and flash? Of course after putting my phone into download mode and unlocking the bootloader, I'm still confused on how to update though, any help would be much appreciated, oh, and which version would be best, i heard v9 was spectacular but had some bugs, is it worth it to just flash v8?

Modem can come.in handy anytime. You can use google drive like.most devs here.
Yes please, I have huge problems with the current modem I flashed. I didn't backup the original one which worked perfectly and now I'm losing reception all the time.
I wonder if the newer is the better when it comes to modems .

Try the K2 modem please. If it's still not working for you, tell me your old modem and I will try to get it for you.
I wouldn't flash that who knows where it came from where are the sources. Where did u get that from?

****, seems legit.. based on his screencap in first post
Gonna try...
Also wish you would upload LJ9... I understand that you're trying to provide an incentive for devs though lol.. but it will come out eventually I guess...
Anyways, u gonna tell us how you got the rom? Leaked to you by an insider?
EDIT: looks like the kernel has the same changelog as LJ3/LJ7, even though it has a diff build date. I'm guessing the rom changelog prob isn't much different too then.
EDIT2: Confirmed legit. THANK YOU BUDDY
guys you really got to stop this fascination about every new release that comes out, they probably all have the same Changelog which means they are the same , so whats really the point of flashing them if they are doing nothing different to your phone. LOL I used to be like this untill I realised whats the point, If I change something in my rom which requires me to reflash this is the only time I will change as I am already reflashing anyway. But I wouldnt bother reflashing a whole new firmware thats exactly the same for no reason. its pointless
Oh its just I9305XXALJ9 and not I9305XXLJ9 what you told in other post
So nothing is new
P.S. TS You can change the build number by your self and make a I9305XXLJ9 and try to troll some people
Come on people stop knocking others. Someone earlier said they wouldn't bother with XXALJ7, now they are on it.
Thank you OP. Keep them coming as you get them. Lol!

Kind of agree here but J4 did have a broken data icon and possibly H+ connection issues which was fixed in J7 afaik.
Also, most people do not know what the differences are in the releases until someone downloads and checks!
Flashed modem over lj7, and works fine.
Thanks to OP.

[Q] Looking For Newest Radio

I'm looking to flash the new updated radio from 4.4.3
The quickest way is best.
I have Custom Recovery but for some reason when my Rom was updated to 4.4.3 the radio was not.
Looking for a reply soon please.
Go to 4.4.3 thread in general and search "radio". That's how I found it.

Custom ROMs usually have the modem stripped from the update to make the .zip smaller and also because you can flash them at will. (I have all modems on my internal just to switch modems when I go out of state.)
But as a friendly reminder, please think through how big 4.4.3 was and next time Google search what you're looking for, you wouldn't have been waiting for us to tell you this if you had. "4.4.3 Nexus 5 modem"
Here's the link if you can't find it however. All the best.

Still not sure if this is to do with the 10 post rule or not.
Devs have a choice of allowing users under 10 posts to post in the dev threads now. But if they dont allow it, the user gets sent to q&a and the Dev PM's about the new thread.
I just wouldn't expect the thread to look like this. It's not clear that this is related to the 10 post rule. It reads as if a dev has turned on a general "q&a" thread instead.
Also if it is 10 post rule, is there a new thread for each under 10 poster trying to ask a question or will they all get sent to 1 this one thread?
Was talking about this earlier with @Toledo_JAB

Are you sure you are using the correct radio? If you just got it, chances are it might still be on a old version.
Flash the latest official version or the official Dev preview to get the latest boot loader and radio.
Also you can unlock and lock your boot loader in minutes

like this rom
i like this rom only had a few problems but after a reboot seams to be working good again
I have the weirdest thing happening. I'm on stable 7 and have been for quite a while. It's worked perfectly until a couple days ago and now I can't send text messages out. I think I can receive OK. Just can't send out. I've even tried doing a clean install of this and other ROMs with same result. It gets more odd... After toying with it I can send only one text out. Just one to any person. But I can't send another unless I reboot or I think wait a few hours. Upon reboot I again can send only one text message out. And so on. I have no clue what could be happening. Any ideas?

I had that problem when I was using certain builds. I had to drop modem back to BMB1. After that I could send with no issue. I, too could only send one text at a time.

Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot
Hi, I just loaded up Slimkat 4.4.4 with the stock kernel on my Verizon Galaxy S3. I used to use the Wifi Tether TrevE Mod with my previous version and that worked, however, this does not appear to work in this rom. I noticed there was a built in Portable Wi-Fi hotspot, which does work perfectly. I would like to use this but am just concerned that somehow VZ would know I am tethering and I would incur additional charges. Do I have anything to worry about or am I just being paranoid?
Thank you for a GREAT product, it's a spectacular rom.

You could try clearing data for the Play Store. I always encourage a clean flash (wipe data and system) before each new release.

I'm running a old version of Hyperdrive v6 on a N8013 Android 4.1.2. According to rootchecker, my bootloader is N8013UEUCMC2 and Kernel version is 3.0.31-813049.
I was looking at Gnabo's thread and I'm wondering if I need to flash any of these, Kernel for N801X, WiFi Fix for N801X and Remove phone stuff for N801x, or are those already included in your ROM?
Thanks

I was looking at Gnabo's thread and I'm wondering if I need to flash any of these, Kernel for N801X, WiFi Fix for N801X and Remove phone stuff for N801x, or are those already included in your ROM?
Thanks

Just to let you know I had to install the wifi fix after installing your rom. I haven't had time to play with it too much but so far it seems to run very smoothly

I was wondering, you know that page with 6 sections that shows news and side sync. How do I open the news stories? I figured out that you can flip up and down to scroll through different stories but can't figure out how to open the story.
Also, this isn't related to your rom but I've been out of the loop for awhile, can you tell me what is the best current solution for installing flash for websites.
Thanks again, I've been using it a lot for the last few hours after I got wifi working and I'm really loving it!
hi
What recovery you use?
I tried to philz recovery and the TWRP, but the installation takes only a few seconds and nothing in this device.
Sorry for my english...
Long time gnabo fan here, eagerly waiting for V5.

Hi, it is possible to enable N8000 data network with Gnabo rom X tab S?
I'm really enjoying it, thank you!
sorry my poor english,
Tab S Sensation ROm Will Not Install
When I try to install this ROM, I get the following error, am using PhilZ Touch 6 recovery CWM 6.0.4.7.
The error is;
format () expects 5 args, got 4
E:Error in /data/media/0/download_rom/TAB.S.Sensation.V6.n801x.zip
(status 7)
Installation aborted.
I did a Wipe Data/Factory Reset. My internal storage has about 1/6 G free, and the SDCARD has about 2 G free.
What could be wrong, I have downloaded the ROM twice now.
Any suggestion appreciated.
Thanks
what is your device?
try you first apply Gnabo rom? :good:
@AhmedSafian thank you for your hard work. This ROM is definitely the one that made my tab look new. Just wanted to report few things.
(N8013)
1) xposed is not pre-installed? If ever I'll do it manually, which version would you recommend.
2) I installed a HULU app since I do have an account with them, (it's like Netflix) it doesn't run. Any suggestions on what to do with it?
3) Is Sound Alive better than (Dolby Digital)?
