For some reason when I try to type fast many times it won't register certain letters and it's horrible and annoying. Idk why it's doing this. I used to be able to type so fast. I'm using SwiftKey. I uninstalled it and reinstalled and It still blows. I feel like throwing this phone out the window.

Hey dude, calm down! This might be a very simple cause behind this issue. Have you tried the following?
1. Clearing the Cache of Swift Key app? (Settings>applications>swiftkey>clear cache)
2. Does the issue persist even with the stock keyboard?
3. Clear the system cache partition of the phone. (Power off phone, then press Power+Vol Up+home buttons simultaneously, then in the recovery mode, select clear cache partition by using volume keys to navigate and power button to select it. Then, Reboot.)
4. Try resetting the app preferences. (Settings>Apps> Menu button at right top> reset app preferences)
If all these fails, take a backup and factory reset the phone.
Cheers :good:
Try the Google keyboard?

After rooting my phone I keep having a problem with my SMS. When I press the O it backs out of the write view, back into read view, and won't allow any other words to be typed. Sometimes a soft boot helps, sometimes it doesn't. Any suggestions? Thank YOU.
Do a factory rwset.. or wipe cash and fix permissions

I have a Galaxy S2 (Android) which has a reboot function. This thing does not have it?
What do you mean? Like something to reboot it? Try pushing and holding down the power button till it reboot.
If you flash any cyanogenmod9 based rom you can reboot from software, but seriously, is it that hard to reach for the power button? xD
hmmm
There are several reboot apps/widgets in the Google Play Store. Do some searches and try to find one you like.
Fast Reboot Pro has many useful functions.

Hi all, here's the qn.
Does pressing and holding: HOME KEY+VOLUME UP* KEY+POWER BUTTON, cause any wiping of the apps and things necessary for apps to run?
I'm suspecting this as after pressing and holding this combo keys on the G3 mod start up screen, Firstly, boot animation restarts itself repeatedly until I got no patience and killed my phone instantly with the power button, Secondly, after a 183s of boot time, errors of apps (not system apps) kept popping up and the most baffling part is that some of these apps that suffered errors did not show up in the 'manage apps' settings. Thirdly, apps installed on sd card are totally wiped off and parts of the internal apps that remained are gone since they force closes after initiating it.
However, I reinstalled the apps and everything work normally now except for longer booting time and some sudden shut downs, which might be due to my battery.
I have not seen any posts on this problem and I'm really curious about this combo keys which I pressed accidentally.
For additional info, I'm on arakmar latest kernel. And running hercolubus rom.
Could it be a secret 'apps removal' combo key designed by arakmar?

Uhhh no it doesn't do anything :/. If you pressed it correctly a screen should come up saying 'forced upload by key pressing' or something like that. I have no idea how you got to your situation

So pressing home+volume up+power key gives an upload screen? And what if I had the usb connected and did that? What exactly does it upload? Sorry I'm abit confused.

Seemingly out of the blue earlier today, both my home button and recent apps button stopped working properly. The home button works when the phone is locked to wake, and fingerprint sensor unlocks, but when the screen is on it is useless. The recent apps button lights up and vibrates when touched, but does nothing. Anyone else experience this problem?

A recently installed App must be causing this. Wipe the cache and if it doesn't help try in Safe mode.
Going to safe mode:
1. Power off the phone.
2. Hold the volume down button and then press the power button till the homescreen boots up.
If the issue doesn't happen in safe mode, try uninstalling the recent apps you have installed to save yourself from doing a factory reset.

Wiping the cache and safe mode didn't do it. I also went through the play store recently added/updated apps and removed them. That did not do anything either. So I ended up going through with a factory reset and that did the trick. The problem occurred around the time I installed a pair of apps from the Galaxy Apps store. I installed the Car Mode and the Soundboard apps. I went in an uninstalled them, but there may have been something extra installed with the Car Mode app that was still causing issues. In any event, thanks for the suggestions and to anyone in the future, just stay away from the Galaxy App store. We all know there really isn't anything worthwhile in there anyway.
Thanks for the help and suggestions.
I have the exact same problem right now! The home and revents button are useless. I installed car mode and deleted it because it didn't want to start on my galaxy sy edge+...
Just encountered the same problem with my S7, factory reset fixed it. For anyone else that encounters this problem and finds their way here: it was Car Mode that caused this problem, DO NOT INSTALL IT. Thank you for creating this thread.
Hey everyone I noticed that if I have notifications and unlock my phone (swipe and fingerprints), it's pretty fast to unlock however if I'm on the lock screen and click a notification (perhaps a text or Snapchat), then unlock the device, it's slow as hell. Can anyone else confirm this? Any ideas as to why it's slow when you select a notification then unlock the device?
Yeah, I've noticed my lockscreen has always been very buggy when opening notifications from it. I always unlock first and then go to the notification menu now. So far I haven't heard anything about how to fix it.

It's not really a big deal but it's kind of annoying seeing as this is a flagship device. I don't remember having this issue with my Note 3.
No doubt. I've never had the issue on any of my previous devices either. Hopefully we get marshmallow soon (and by soon I mean sometime in the middle of next year) and then it won't be an issue anymore.

Go through recovery mode and clear cache in that. Should speed up unlocking. Common issue so far. Other than that the only other thing fixing it is a reset of just settings

Hm, what do you mean recovery mode and clearing cache "in that"? Can you list the steps involved?

Yea you have to have your phone off.
While it's off hold the home power and volume up buttons all together.
Keep them help untill you see it say recovery booting in the upper left in blue.
Let go of the buttons then
Use the volume down button to scroll the the wipe cache option.
Use the power button to select.
When it shows wipe complete at the bottom you then scroll up to reboot now
