I tried rooting my Galaxy Note 4 for Sprint and after sitting in bootloop for hours, I realized I did NOT check the debug option in the settings prior to using Odin. How deep of a hole am I in?
Wrong place to put in. Ignore please.

The screen was broken and I give it to a friend to change it, but when he fixed the phone lost the configuration. Just start in Samsung logo and restart in a bootloop. Not access to recovery mode, only download mode. Not recognized IMEI or s/n in kies.
I also try kingo and doesn't work, also several room stock for the model and always have two kind of error: secure check boot and secure check pit..
When I tried odin, the phone stopped and the process for flashing not advanced just get stuck. If I used a pit file for the phone have error. So I need help for this.
thanks
Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. Your device forum can be found here:
Samsung Galaxy Mega
I'd suggest you post your question in the dedicated Galaxy Mega q&a sub-forum here:
Galaxy Mega Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
That way your question will be seen by folks who own your device and therefore are the most qualified to answer your question. In order to post in that section you'll need to create an XDA account, but that only takes a couple of minutes.
Good luck!

I have seen and confirmed that my device Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is rooted! Now my friends talk about the Flashing ROM thingi... How can i do it? Do i need to open my computer for it? Does it take much time? Or whatever else.... And does it even get flashed or stuff? Please Please Please tell me how can i do it!
I HAVE ROOTED MY DEVICE THROUGH THE ODIN MODE!!! SO TELL ME THE SUITABLE METHOD!
Thank you for using XDA Assist. There is always the possibility of bricking your device when flashing roms. So I would suggest that you don't just rush in but first read more about your device and learn about it. In the link below look in the general and q&a forums and look for the threads at the top which are stickied, they're the ones with the stick pins. Good luck!

I understand that there are many other posts about this particular issue but very few are solved and even if they are it is usually phone specific. There is no guide for the S6 yet, that I know of so I shall continue
Anyway I tried to flash the stock firmware using Odin to get out of a soft bricked situation. I originally tried to update the software via Smart Switch which failed. Then it asked to perform an emergency recovery via Smart Switch, this also failed spectacularly. Ive tried phoning customer support with no help as it was rooted previously.
Quick summary:
1. I unrooted then factory reset + wipe cache
2. Update via Smart Switch failed
3. Emergency recovery via Smart Switch failed
4. Odin pauses at "NAND write start" when attempting to flash
I have used Odin 3.9 and 1.3 with multiple stock firmwares both .tar.md5 and trying just .tar (it helped another user) with no results
PLEASE HELP AS I DONT WANT A 400 POUND PAPER WEIGHT
Thanks
PevDog

I have seen that before, its where I got my stock firmware from. When I click onto the S6 forum you provided I can see no way to post my issue?
I am unfortunately a noob on this site so thanks for your time

If you're opening the link in a browser look towards the top on the left. You should see a "new thread" icon. If you're trying to ask a question in that thread on the lower left is a "reply" icon. Just use that and it will post your question without quoting the previous users text.

"Root my phone" she says, "It will be great" she says...That is what my girlfriend asked me but now I have her phone bricked and can't get it running again. Have rooted multiple android devices before but this one has stumped me. Tried to get old 4.4.4 OS on it using Odin and now I cannot get any OS on it. Even the original stock OS I cannot get loaded on, which I would happily take.
Things you should know:
-Samsung Galaxy S5 Verizon edition
-Using Odin v 3.10.06
-Using md5 and .tar SM-G900V
-Phone can go into Recovery/Download Mode
-Odin sees phone and recognizes it, but when trying to load on OS it gives error failed.
Ask me for any other info, I would be happy to get it rooted, not rooted, custom ROM, just anything to get it running again.
Thank you very much.

Hello and thank you for using XDA Assist.
Sorry to hear about your trouble but we cannot provide technical support nor can other members reply to your posts here on XDA Assist. Fortunately there is an XDA area dedicated to the Verizon Samsung Galaxy S5 at http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-galaxy-s5 which would be a good starting place. I suggest you post your question with all relevant details in the friendly Q&A forum there at http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-galaxy-s5/help where the experts familiar with your device will be best able to guide you. Make sure to follow directions intended for the Verizon variant and not a generic S5 since your model's locked bootloader brings a few additional limitations.
Good luck!
