[Completed] [Q] SM-T700 Flashing Rom... Odin Mode - XDA Assist

I have seen and confirmed that my device Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is rooted! Now my friends talk about the Flashing ROM thingi... How can i do it? Do i need to open my computer for it? Does it take much time? Or whatever else.... And does it even get flashed or stuff? Please Please Please tell me how can i do it!
I HAVE ROOTED MY DEVICE THROUGH THE ODIN MODE!!! SO TELL ME THE SUITABLE METHOD!

Thank you for using XDA Assist. There is always the possibility of bricking your device when flashing roms. So I would suggest that you don't just rush in but first read more about your device and learn about it. In the link below look in the general and q&a forums and look for the threads at the top which are stickied, they're the ones with the stick pins. Good luck!

[Q] Confused!!!!

I am a total noob..sry folks but there are so many forums that it only confused me more. I just bought a While Samsung Galacy S2 from Sprint.
Model : SPH-D710
Android version : 2.3.6
Kernel version : 2.6.35.7-SPH-D710.EL29-CL852097
My question should I be looking for information on rooting the phone in the Samsung Galaxy S2 4G.
Also can I get simple instructions on how to root. The couple of stickys on this forum say, you should have root.....
Just want to start from the basics,
1/ how to root the phone
2/ install Odin (or is this used only for rooting)
3/ CWM mentioned everywhere what is the purpose and when do I install
4/ I would also like to try the new ROM's
5/ How, when and what to use to backup the original phone before attempting the above.
Hope this does not sound so stupid, I will continue to browse the forums.
Thanks.
First I wouldn't flash anything from this particular forum as this is strictly for Samsung galaxy s 4g phones NO OTHERS!
FAILING TO HEED THIS WARNING COULD RESULT IN A BRICKED HANDSET!

[Completed] Are different custom roms accepted by any phone

I have a note 3 neo [rooted ] I want to flash a custom rom but there are no many roms available, can I flash a different rom made for other phones on my SM-N750...? ?

Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. No, you can only flash ROMs that were developed and intended specifically for your device, flashing a ROM that was made for another phone will most likely brick (destroy) it.
But...
There are ROMs available for your phone. A quick search allowed me to find your specific device section here:
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo
Bookmark that page and subscribe to that forum, that way you'll find it easily in the future. Within that device forum you'll find several sub-forums, including a couple of development sub-forums, this is where you'll find ROMs for your device.
Good luck!
Thanks alot......!

Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. You could see if you can find an answer here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-core If not ask in the Q&A forum. But you might have to flash the stock firmware in odin and start over.

Hi there,
YES, you will brick your device if you flash firmware from different device even if that device is ALMOST the same as yours. You'd be best served asking for help from the experts who own your device here:
[Q&A][SGS2][Newbies][Experienced Users][RCs] New members friendly Q&A thread
Also please see this threads and don't open multiple threads on different forums:
[GUIDE] Fix an unflashable or soft bricked GSII (I9100G/M/P/T VERSION INCLUDED)
[INDEX of GUIDES/TUTORIALS] SGS2 GT-I9100 [Updated: 29/07/2013]
Good luck
thanks for the advice, but someone said it works just that the nfc feauture wount be included.. am confused

[Completed] (Soft) Bricked Samsung Galaxy S5 Verizon

"Root my phone" she says, "It will be great" she says...That is what my girlfriend asked me but now I have her phone bricked and can't get it running again. Have rooted multiple android devices before but this one has stumped me. Tried to get old 4.4.4 OS on it using Odin and now I cannot get any OS on it. Even the original stock OS I cannot get loaded on, which I would happily take.
Things you should know:
-Samsung Galaxy S5 Verizon edition
-Using Odin v 3.10.06
-Using md5 and .tar SM-G900V
-Phone can go into Recovery/Download Mode
-Odin sees phone and recognizes it, but when trying to load on OS it gives error failed.
Ask me for any other info, I would be happy to get it rooted, not rooted, custom ROM, just anything to get it running again.
Thank you very much.

Hello and thank you for using XDA Assist.
Sorry to hear about your trouble but we cannot provide technical support nor can other members reply to your posts here on XDA Assist. Fortunately there is an XDA area dedicated to the Verizon Samsung Galaxy S5 at http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-galaxy-s5 which would be a good starting place. I suggest you post your question with all relevant details in the friendly Q&A forum there at http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-galaxy-s5/help where the experts familiar with your device will be best able to guide you. Make sure to follow directions intended for the Verizon variant and not a generic S5 since your model's locked bootloader brings a few additional limitations.
Good luck!
