[Q] Slideshow-App looking for

hi
im looking right now for a slideshow app.
the standard app "clock" that comes with android got a very good. but the problem is, that it plays every picture it can find on the phone/sdcard (just want a specific folder to be shown)
The slideshow from the Album stops after every picture was shown.
So, does anyone know a good slideshow app that simply plays pictures of a folder in a never ending loop?
still tried some but every of them sucked as hell.
so anyone knows some?

Your favorite Live Wallpapers?

Hey everyone,
Browsing through the marketplace or a website for Live wallpapers is a pain, and I'd like to have a lot more than I currently do. How about you guys share some of your favorites? Maybe even include a mobile friendly link if you're feeling frisky?
Thanks!
I use 'wallme'.
You set folders in your gallery to be set as a wallpaper sideshow.
Many options available such as duration, transition, zoom, fade etc.
Android Sparkle LWP
Aquarium is nice the free version doesn't let you customize how many/what type of fishes and other things but it's pretty cool IMO.

Oh man Light Grid is amazingly mesmerizing, and so customizable its crazy.
i've been using video live wallpaper for ages now. my fav has always been this video of the internal working clock. it fills up the whole screen with moving gears similar to what you would inside the watch. what i normally do is go to youtube and download a vid of my choice. this way i can always keep changing my wallpaper. i have mirror lights, particles, ink on water, the beach, rain, pug licking my screen, etc.
Can you explain in a little more detail how you rip these YouTube videos to be able to use them as wallpapers?

pretty easy. i don't have the link right now as it's in my laptop at home. but basically you can google it and several websites come up for saving youtube clips. what happens is you open the site in one window/tab. in another tab you have youtube open. so say you typed in the search field (of youtube) for clockwork. several video clips will come up. click on one and copy the http address as seen in the field above. paste this into the search field of the youtube video download site. once clicked, you'll get several format opitons. by far the most common are mp4 and flv. fortunately, video wallpaper plays both. save the file and transfer it to your phone.
from your phone, open video wallpaper. go to the menu screen and choose the video you want to play. presto! instant wallpaper.
btw, i noticed that some wallpapers are off-centered. if you're using adw launcher, click on the menu and bring up scrolling wallpaper option. this way you can choose which parts of the video wallpapers shows what detail. i think this should work as well with the default launcher.
hope that helps.

[Q] Thumbnails for movies?

Anyone know how to add thumbnails for movies you put in the gallery? I used DVD Catalyst to convert some movies (awesome application by the way totally worth it if youre looking for how to put movies on virtually any device). Only problem is unless I use THEIR gallery and add a picture with same name as the movie, it wont display a thumbnail - using their gallery clogs my own gallery with pictures and movies that are black, and they leave a border around the movie that isnt black - annoying. *sigh*
Anyone else have luck?

Hi Spartacus,
Thank you for using DVD Catalyst,
I created the player-app because there wasn't anything else out there that would let you use your own cover images for your video files. Before the 3.1 update on HC, you could create a folder, put a video file in it and then an image file, and it would display it in the Gallery app, but Google broke that with the 3.1 update, so I made the app. I still haven't seen anything else that works in a similar way.
I have been working on an update for it all week, and after I read your post, I did make some changes regarding the images, so the next update will have them not show up in Gallery.

Thanks, looking forward to the update. I know myself and a lot of others still want a way to add thumbnails for movies in the gallery.

Same here, but with that being a gripe since the beginning of Android, I don't think that is going to happen anytime soon. Because the idea behind it is so simple and obvious, I was expecting someone to come up with it, but since that never happened, I figured I'd give it a shot.

You might want to try certain media apps like a gallery app. QuickPic for example allow you to choose the location in which the app should search and show pictures from. This can be a general base location. And when you have found a picture you can go to the details and find out the exact location. Unlike the default gallery app (or how it used to be?) QuickPic shows images categorised on folders there in. For video files tr MX Player or another app that will play most formats. MX Player for example should also show all your video files on your phone in folders and the locations in detail view.
Storage analyser apps are also available. they scan your phone storage and show you how much of your storage is filled with audio/video/pics and where that is placed. A less visually attractive but in my opinion a great tool to get a clear view of where you have a lot of MB/GB's you have store is using "Storage analyser" But for finding specific file types this is not the one you need.

Lockscreen Blurry Album Art Need some help

As most already know since kitkat (i belive) all the media that is playing or streaming shows a cover in the lockscreen
In this case im talking specifically of music album art; the problem that i have is that the lockscreen shows an extremly blurry image of the album im playing (as you can see in the screenshots);
Even tho i have embedded the image using MP3tag on the PC.
Even when the image is 1500 x 1500
Also tried replacing the files that are automatically created in the android/data/com.android.providers.media/albumthumbs (which i belive don't have anything to do with the lockscreen.. now that i think about it)
And yet im unable to make the lockscreen display the album art at full quality! That's all i want.
Anyone know if android stores an image that is use to be displayed in the lockscreen while playing something? So that way i could probably replace them one by one with the high res images.
Thank you in advance, i have been in the forums for quite some time now but today is the first time i post a new thread
PD: I'm using Cyanogenmod14 on my Moto E 2015 and using stellio as main music player; but also tried stock and Google play with same result.
