Someone need help

I'am in a facebook group about Hard brick on lollipop and I found someone that appears to have a rare kind of brick, each time he turn on the moto g it says "boot up failed" and he doesn't find any solution on forums, Does someone could help him?

he messed with his phone i some strange way. recovery says the kernel (boot.img) is wrong / broken...
i would advice him (as he gets into the bootloader) to: unlock the bootloader 1st (so he can load a new boot & rom on this) he can do this via this bootloader & moto website
when he is unlocked he should flash a stock firmware via bootloader BUT he need to LOKK THAT THE FW matches HIS MODEL!!! instructions & downloads of the firmware can be found here in the moto g hread.

Moto says no or wahts the problem? maybe he entered the wrong bootloader code on moto website. my friend telled me he tried & checked that code like 4 times & website said allways "unlock not possible", the i arrived tried once & voila bl unlock

[Bootlogo] Motorola: Powered by Lineage

Hi guys!
I decided to make some Lineage OS inspired bootlogos (the one which comes before the bootanimation), as near as possible to the stock one, for the Moto E 2015 and now I'm sharing them with you.
They also (principally) remove the "unlocked bootloader" warning.
I'm not responsible for any trouble you cause to your device. You are deciding to apply this mod, I'm not forcing you. By the way, a tester tested them for me.

How to install?
Via fastboot ("fastboot flash logo Logo.bin" ["filename.bin" if you chase another one]) or flashing the .zip through a custom recovery (not tested and not recommended).

Added two new bootlogos inspired by the new Lenovo Moto series bootlogo!

Sorry guys, are they for moto e 2015 lte aka "surnia"?
I've tried the colored logo, very beautiful on this phone, however after flashed, the recharge animation (animation which appears when you plug usb recharge in your switched off phone) is lost and screen remain black backlighted.
note: In a early moment I've thought that this bug was caused by a previous logo flash, which had not removed warning logo, and (reading better) clearly not for surnia. However, after, I resumed my logo partition from stock firmware, then from a clean state I flashed this coloredlogo and bug appears..

Did you try with another bootlogo? My sister is using the black new logo on her Surnia, I just tested and it's working.

I confirm recharge bug in ColoredLogo.bin For Moto E 2015LTE aka "surnia".
to see the bug: flash file/reboot system (you will see appear the new logo)/switch off the phone/ plug usb recharge you will see screen black with backlight on in stuck (it will remain in this state also after unplugged)

I've just finished to test all (except the colored) on my surnia.
All work without any bug. (ther's a bit of time to wait before on scren will appear the recharge animation)
At this point I'll retry also the coloured, if all go well sorry (maybe I was misleaded by the delay), and will correct my previous post

Help with regards to stock ROM

Hello, and many thanx in advance guys, below I am going to try to describe the issue that I am having.
- Have a Moto MAXX PR (do not know the original quark version, but it was an unlocked PR phone)
- Back in the days, went from 4.4 --> Brazilian soak test 5.0.1
- Have tried with numerous ways to go back to stock PR 4.4 in order to proceed to the Marshm. update
- Had no luck whatsoever..
Can someone provide me with the exact specific 4.4 PR rom as well as with the correct steps (RSD and twrp didn't work out), in order to go back to the stock KitKat?

I assume you meant 6.0.1?
Your issue (I think) is you have already updated the bootloader. So, while you theoretically can go back to 4.4.4, it has to be everything but the gpt.bin part. That part has to stay on Marshmallow.
Do you have TWRP installed? If so, then flash this. It the the Brazilian Marshmallow image and uses your radio.

If you flash it you have to be rooted and have TWRP installed. It's pure factory Marshmallow for ANY Quark -- XT1254, XT1250, XT1225. It will use whatever radio you already have installed.

If you don't have TWRP installed, then flash one of these via ADB:
It's the final official Marshmallow XT1225 factory image. There's India, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Brazil. Probably best to stick with Brazil or Puerto Rico.

Moto turbo UI lag

Does UI of official marshmallow of moto turbo lag? I am experiencing often lag in UI of official marshmallow, even my older oneplus one was faster. Are these custom roms smooth? I just wanted to confirm because I dont want to unlock the bootloader and void my warranty.

That's your own decision. It depends on your expectations. Almost every thread of XDA starts off with "Your warranty is voided". It's just a normal part of modding your phone.
People who don't know what they are doing and mess up their phones -- or don't even make TWRP backups -- then want to go crying to the manufacturer to replace their hardware, when it's not the manufacturer's fault. I just talked a guy through fixing his phone who flashed something he shouldn't have flashed, and he yet he had TWRP. He had not made any backups. Restoring a TWRP backup would have taken 5-10 minutes vs the TWO days it took to fix his phone. I'm glad to help, but doing basic stuff like making backups is part of this hobby.
As for me, I immediately voided the warranty on all my Android phones over the years -- including two Moto Maxx XT1225. Rooting/customization is too important to me. I even flashed those two XT1225 with Moto Turbo firmware, because Motorola launched the Moto Turbo XT1225 in India with 5.0.2 in March 2015, while the Moto Maxx XT1225 stayed with Kitkat 4.4.4 for another month... I didn't want to wait, so I turned them into Moto Turbo XT1225 and had Lolllipop. Before we got custom ROMs, I used xposed framework with Gravity Box to get custom ROM features. Since then, I've flashed CM12, CM12.1, RR 6.X.
One of my 3 Moto Maxx XT1225 is still in the box -- with stock KitKat (not even updated to Lollipop or Marshmallow) -- but only because it's a backup for me and my wife. If I ever had to use it, it would immediately be rooted.
And with these Motorola phones you have to unlock the bootloader to root, install TWRP.

As far as lag, there are ways to minimize that even on stock. I use these settings below even on custom ROMs.
1) Enable Developer Options to get to these Settings. (Doesn't require root, for those who may not know.)
2) Change animation settings to make them complete faster.
3) Let the GPU take more of the graphics work.

I recently installed Pixel Experience Plus based on Android 11 on my Moto G5S Plus and the camera that came with that ROM wasnt according to my liking at all. I found this thread and decided to flash the Moto Camera 2 app from that N0 list in my phone. The camera doesn't work at all and when I tried flashing this version (the version referred in this thread) there were a couple of features missing that I had in my stock rom's camera - Portrait Mode and HDR mode. It would be a huge help if you patched those with the next version of this app.
