Hello, I have a problem with my Xiaomi mi 4i. Since few days it has stoppeddetecting SIM card and has been automatically fulfilling its memory. I tried to change SIM cards. but it didn't help. After every few minutes memory of the device was full of crashlog or sth like that, so I decided to switch to CM 12. After many troubles I have managed to install TWRP recovery, paste CM to internal memory, I have widep it totally (everything) and than I have tried to install CM 12, but it failed. After that I also tried to install other rom, my polish-language rom, but I couldn't do it as well. Please, help me to solve this, because it's my father's phone. Mabye I have wiped too many things out of it? Please, really help me to deal with it as soon as possible. Thanks in advance for any useful help.

If nothing helps, go back to standard.
Use this info http://en.miui.com/thread-138228-1-1.html.
On that page is also an link to how to flash this version.
Follow that and you should have a working phone with chinese/english languages.
Thanks for your help, but after flashing official miui back on my phone by TWRP, problem with fulfilling memory occured again. I have opened Cleaner and it again shows, that there is 0mb of free memory and it cannot clean it, because it stops. What should I do now?

As far as i know, the official version should be flashed NOT with TWRP, but via ADB or Miflash tool from the pc.
Check the link and read the flash guide in the description.
If you follow that guide, you should be back to MIUI and a working phone.
After that you can change back to TWRP if you want.

No. Fully unroot to install updates.
Does anyone know what this update is supposed to do. One of my apps - Smart AppLocker Pro will no longer lock my apps. What a PITA!. Haven't noticed any other weirdness. It's great that Alcatel is updating the phone, but i wish they would go to 5.1.

It's stated all over the place here not to do that...If you kept TWRP you can restore a backup or reflash the supersu zip file...if you did not (which is what the previous update did) then there is currently NO fix..you can either send it back under warranty or get with @petrov.0 to help test his possible solution to flash twrp via "download mode". He posted about it in the "my phone is bricked" thread..just do a search on "bricked".
has anyone else experienced problems with their sd after this update?
I did a soft reboot because i found my device was hanging and slow, and then upon restarting, it says safe to remove sd card. i cant mount it and i'm forced to format if i put it in my computer's sd reader.
anyone have any tool that can possibly extract from corrupted sd card? all of my summer's photos are on it.

Hi,
I have cm-10 install to my tab 2 (gt-p3113). It seems I have lost some memory space on my tablet.
If I do recall, I thought the tab 2 had 8 gbs of space, but when I go to storage settings its says 4.59 gbs
Does anyone have this issue?
How could I fix this?
Note: I did try a different rom other than CM but the problem was still there.
EDIT: I plugged it into my computer and my pc said it was on 4.59! This is not good.
Please help.
Thanks,
Jay Tong
PS: I have twrp recovery if anyone wants to know that.
How big is your recovery Partition? How big boot partition? How big cache? How big preload (used by stock sammy Roms)?
Your missing storage might be there.

Wow, its an honor to be talking to the great Android Andi! :good:
I could have figured it out. When I loaded back up stock Samsung 4.2 it showed 8gbs and that the system was taking up a lot, but when in something like slim or cm, It only says 4.56. Sorry I wish I could upload some screen shots but It won't let me.
EDIT: I bricked my device while messing around. all it says know is: Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in kies and try again.
I installed kies but it won't connect to it! Please help!
Custom roms and KIES is a no go! Absolut no go!
Remove kies and all its services.
On described screen download mode is on automatically.
Flash twrp using odin, in twrp do a clean rom flash.
Good luck!

Ok ya,
Got it all back online and working.
Installed CM12 that I found on your website.
I think the memory problem was resolved just by reinstalling stock. (I did reinstall cm12 after)
Off Topic: Any way on CM12 to fix that sound stuttering issue on some games?

you still don't get it, there is no any memory issue, every android device has less usable memory than it has build in. Your tablet have 8gb but about ~3 gb is used by system and you can't use it, that's why settings shows 4,5gb.

Yeah I could do that, but I would like to understand whats going wrong in present case, I have had flashed CM11 many times since past 4 yrs but never faced such an issue.
I even installed TWRP and SuperSU latest version and also Old versions, I tried installing old versions of apps, but phone keeps crashing! Wonder whats wrong?!
Is this a firmware issue?(Tried flashing firmwares too)
or Partitions gone bad?
I tried searching but couldnt find any resource on how to recreate partitions.
Can anyone help please?

Wait, what if you flash cm11? I mean you just wanna stay on KitKat,so why don't cm11?
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347767866
Clean flash this cm11 nightly+gapps you like.
Make sure you use latest twrp.
Same issue here. Happens not to all apps though. Just particular ones after updating certain apps. Not sure what happened. Only solution is to avoid installing those kind of apps.
News :
Starting today, i'll just upload the firmware if it has a change in it.
So you know there's no need to update the firmware if there's no change in it, save the hassle.
Tips :
* I've added checksum file for each firmware-only files in google drive, so you guys can see what's changed on every firmware-only release.
* If you experience sim card not detected after flashing firmware, don't worry, it's normal. do this, plug out and plug in your sim card tray, and restart your device.

yep i believe the Miui10 is in Alpha and currently being tested by a closed group of users. we should see public Beta releases towards the end of June.
Im just curious if there is any difference in battery consumption to previous version of MIUI.
I've tried it a couple of days ago. There are some visual changes like new notifications panel UI, recents UI, In-call UI etc. A bit more IOS-ish as some say.
First of all, if you consider flashing it;
- You need the Raupe/Blunden twrp to flash it, other recoveries end up with error 7.
- After flashing this build; twrp will ask for a decrypt password and no password will be correct. So your internal storage won't be mounted on twrp no way to fix it at the moment.
- Magisk 16.4 is able to root it, don't know about previous ones.
- If you consider flashing other roms, you have to do factory reset(format data) to get your internal be able to mount on twrp again.
- It doesn't have google apps as it's China specific, so you need to install google apps manually by Google installer apk or there are zip files for miui 10 ported gapps which give force closes randomly.
- Can be a daily driver since all is working.
- Xposed won't work.
Other than these hick ups, it's good initial build. Fast and smooth, can't tell about battery life since I haven't used it for a long time. There are secondary releases(8.6.5) for some devices so can be around for Mix too. Cheers.

I'm willing to give this a shot, thanks for the input ??
Ok trying it now and everything seems to be working good. A little laggy at the moment so I'm just letting it set in. I was hoping the camera would've gotten updated but same old crappy camera software from previous MIUI firmware. Hopefully when they do release the final version we'll get a updated camera but all in all this is a keeper till we get updated version on here, hopefully...

Ok going through settings and as far as I can tell I don't see face unlock feature. I highly doubt the mix will get seeing as how old it is now, I never use it anyway on other devices so it's not a big deal to me. Everything is running very smooth and fast, I'm liking the Android P style look a lot, more than how it looks on the pixel but that's just me.

You just cancel it and internal storage will be unable to use on twrp. If you flash other things, you need to do it by an OTG.

I installed it, but I keep loosing the recovery, when I reboot it goes to the Miui recovery.
Is there a way to disable the factory recovery overwriting the twrp.
Appreciate any help.
Thanks.

i think you should flash this file in twrp :
https://build.nethunter.com/android-tools/no-verity-opt-encrypt/
after that the recovery shouldn't get replaced anymore.

it happend right after I tried rr rom then I flashed stock miui again and tried a new clean istall but ever since twrp doesn't show files. so far I learned it is xiaomi encryption thing in vendor image.
hope you guys have sulotion

I got it,
to whom may face what I severely faced, just flash a developer rom through mi flasher and then you are good to go it is as simple as that!.
may miui die forever !
What happened was your storage was encrypted. TWRP is supposed to ask for your pattern or password when it starts so it can decrypt and read it. I had that issue a couple times where it didn't ask me on some custom roms, not sure why.
Using the new unofficial resurrection remix build now, and you can disable encryption on that.
Just do a format data.
