That being said, as fixing devices is how I make my living, I believe either you have not seated all your connections properly or you have a faulty replacement part. Please double check all of your connections.

Dear all,
I need your help. Well, I plugged my phone Galaxy S2 to a charger which the voltage polarity was reversed manually.
So the phone had a short circuit. Therefore, I replaced the power card which is in the Galaxy and when I plugged it again on the other charger, I found that the phone doesn't start and one component on the mother board of the phone is heating a lot. the component is located just below to the cam.
If any one can help me to have the schematic drawing with also the layout drawing to find what kind of the component is that, so I can buy it.
Other wise, if someone can help me what can I do.
If you need more information I can give you.
The goal is to have my datas while I didn't save them to my pc exceptionally all my contacts.
With best Regards,
Hi,
Sounds like you fried something... And if it won't turn on, I can safely say there is nothing you can do.
For other ideas or to ask about schematics.... A google search may help, or if you let me know your device model number, I can point you to your device section.
Thanks!
The device model is GT-i9100. I didn't find neither the schematic nor the layout drawing on google search!!!
Thank you for helping me.
Best Regars,

Any questions or issues on that device can be asked here,

?
I have one that came in for repair, the touch pad is intermittent.
Sometimes it works, most times it works on some buttons, sometimes on others.
I've had it apart and checked all connections, etc.
Is the Digitizer bad? Or is the LCD need replacing?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.
Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. It wouldn't be the LCD, it'd be the digitizer that's the problem. I'd suggest performing a factory reset, if the problem persists afterwards it's almost definitely a hardware issue.
Thank you, timmaaa.
I have a new Digitizer coming May 6th.
I'll post here if that works for this repair.
We can't keep the thread open for that long unfortunately, if you have further issues after installing the replacement you can go ahead and post a thread in this section:

Hi all,
I'm new to the forum but have been following XDA for a good while without being registered because most of the answers to my questions were found within other forum posts but I've not found an answer to this question;
I currently possess a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (GT-P5110) and the touch screen does not work. The LCD works perfectly but doesn't respond to touches. I ordered an 81 pin FPC connector to replace the old port directly on the main board but am not 100% sure on how to remove the old one. The reason for the replacement was that I noticed a few bent pins which I believe may be causing the problem.
Can someone point me in the right direction. I won't take it to a shop because I am looking at this as a learning curve so would prefer to do this from home.
What tools would be required to remove the old 81 pin FPC connector from the GT-P5110.
Any help would be much appreciated and thank you in advance.

First of all, i'm following the site couple months now,but just registered today so im glad to become part of the community
ok,soo i have this problem that i dont have a power button( defective so i opened the device and cut it off) and i made the mistake to remove my battery but now even if i plug the charger to do the restart trick (quickly remove and replace battery on phone) as i did couple times before to power on, now nothing happens!
Im not sure if it is the battery that died, the usb port, the screen , or if it has something to do with the button i removed
PS: I ve done this couple times before but after some tries it would recognize the battery and show the icon for "charging mode" , but this time after many tries nothing happens :'(
PLS HELP!!<3
