Have you just tried to push the "off" buttun that is next to sd and sim card and just turnt the phone off? Then turn it on and see if it helps, If not boot to recovery and do factory settings reset.

just reflash your phone with a tft file. download flashtool and grab your self an tft file from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-m2/general/ftf-d2303-18-3-1-c-1-15-t3101082 or google.

Phone locks? Strange. I don't meant the OFF button thats next to volume buttons mate. I mean OFF button next to SD CARD. On the back of the phone where you have to open a little plastic stripe cover on SIM and SD card. There is a little, tiny OFF button thats so small that you have to push it by a pin or something as small as it.
Otherwise you will have to flash tft but I think you can manage without it unless you do what I wrote. Or get into recovery and do factory setting. No aplication will beat it.

Try holding vol up and the power button till it vibrates it's the same as taking the battery out.

Yes, it aint there. Been looking for it also. I'll try to if someone has successfully changed it. Probably a setting in the build.prop.
If you read the post carefully you might figure it out by yourself!
Its a simple settings option that tells the screen to go blank its in settings/display/screen timeout on all stock roms.

Black screen & no recovery!!!!

Hi all !!! Sorry for my English but I need your help
I commented what is happening with my phone N5 (which for good and evil is always stock without root or anything, with corresponding OTA updates.)
1- Yesterday afternoon at lunchtime while reading a book in playbooks, I notice that suddenly disappears one line and then appeared intermittently. I close the app and noticed the same thing happening on the screen menu. I shut down the cell and turn on again and I thought it must be an application be kidding. But still does.
2 Also yesterday I happened to change the security on the phone screen. After a while of normal operation, try to turn it on the screen with the button, nothing, the screen goes "black", with light and retrolight turned on but no picture no nothing .
Called the cell to see if it works or is turned off and the phone rings but the screen nothing. Try turning it off and on again by holding the on / off / lock button and the phone restarts, but the screen nothing. In one such attempt to do the above it is seen that managed to turn it off. And I get it on and do a normal boot, except that the picture of my screen is changed to the original. Change the lock screen which was previously using (slip). And it seemed that out or some conflict with the lock. In one of those again pressed the ON / OFF / lock as would normally and it starts all over again.
After I magically back to life, I want to make a full wipe as I think it should be an app that is doing some conflict or something. BUT ....
3I turn off the phone and then press the keys VOLUME UP / DOWN and ON / OFF is normally off, squeezed the first screen with the options but options RECOVERY / BOOTLOADER appears in red I choose RECOVERY give the ok with the key and .... andriod robot appears with the legend below that says something (I do not remember well) without or without controls options appears. So its seems thatI dont have recovery.
After that keep pressing the key ON / OFF and the phone turns off and / or reboot normally. All this I did it again to see if the error reappears and looks that I do not have recovery.
The failure of the screen is increasing. I dont know if they are separate problems or is it all the same problem.
Sorry if I was too long but I need the help of you.
UPDATE Now it seems that the screen died, since I do not achieve to turn it on as before, the light and the retrolight its ok. The phone receives calls and notifications but the screen stills black.
Thanks all.

sometimes things just "derp". itll happen more often if you dont reboot your phone often. also, your phone will be a little bit more responsive if it gets reboot once a day or two.
RMA or fastboot it back to stock, if the screen doesnt turn on afterwards then it looks like a hardware issue, open device and reconnect the display.

Blank screen after boot. How to backup data?

I have a Moto G 4G (with Lollipop) with the following problem. As soon as the boot sequence completes the screen turns black. It is not broken because the boot animation is shown, and I can take screenshots by pressing the power button and VOL DOWN. I can also see the screenshot animation (a white square that shrinks on the screen) and hear the shutter sound. By holding the power button the "Shut down" dialog appears and it can be touched, resulting in the phone shutting down.
The problem is similar to that described in
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/help/moto-g-bootup-problem-recovery-mode-t3122492
I have tried running the phone in Safe Mode. Nothing changes (except from the Safe mode text in the lower left corner). I have also tried wiping the cache from the recovery twice to no avail.
Can you help me diagnose the problem? Or at least, is there a way to backup the data from the phone before attempting an hard reset? Please notice that the phone is locked, unrooted and the usb debug is not active, so I can't use ADB. No SD card was used with the phone. My primary need is to recover photos and Whatsapp data.
Thank you for your help in advance!
I thought you put Adaptive Brightness is on and Brightness lever is minimum. Go to dark( very dark to see the screen) place and go to setting, turn it off. Hope to work.

I'm not sure about this, because I can see the screenshot animation, the shutdown menu and the "Safe mode" text (when in safe mode) clearly. The behavior of the phone is very similar to that shown in the thread I linked in the OP (there is a video there). However I will make sure when I'll have the phone at hand.
That linked u show i dont think same your phone. Yours still working, d other cant boot up, yours can screen shot, got into Safe mode mean its working.

It boots but the screen stays blank in the linked thread. Anyway, it's not a brightness problem in my case as I can see things on the display at daylight.

Can't unlock my Phone

Since one month i have the Xperia Z5. It is a great phone. But today its randomly restarts. I thought it was because my phone overheats. After the restart i cant unlock my phone. Inside the compartment where the sim and SD card sir, there is a small yellow button, push and hold this in using a paperclip or similar, wait until the phone vibrates, then you can power it up again, using the normal power button

Mi4 Stucked in Recovery after screen replacement

Hey guys. I'm pretty desperate so i decided to make this thread.
Here is my problem:
I have changed screen on my phone today. Everything went without any problems since I tried to turn on the phone.
When I tried to turn it on I can see only MI logo on display ... Then after couple of seconds phone will restart automatically and goes into Recovery mode.
I tried to boot it from there without any results. Also tried to reset and wipe data without any results.
The biggest problem is that I cant even get into Fastboot menu by pressing Power button + volume down button. So I cant connect my phone with PC and try to flash new ROM.
Any suggestions? I would be really thankful for any advice.
Thank you very much.

Did you follow a tutorial for replacing the screen on your device? Where did you get the screen from? Was your screen replacement just the Touch Panel or the full screen replacement with LCD + Touch Panel? Was it an actual Xiaomi part or an aftermarket part? I would take your device apart again and make sure you didn't leave something loose or disconnected.
Quick question. Was you old display still working where you could see what was going on? Like, was it just cracked or was it completely inoperable?

Thanks for reply. Yes I followed complete tutorial on youtube. Screen is from ebay. It should be original. I replaced full screen ( lcd + touch panel ).
So found simillar problem as mine - due to improper installation of back cover volume up button was pressed which caused that phone went to recovery menu after start ... ( you have to hold volume up + power key to get to Recovery menu). So I tried to dismantle it again but it didnt help. Still have same problem.
Yes old display is alright. I can see everything just touch screen is broken so I cant do anything on it. But I cant imagine this would be problem of display ....
Give your craftsmanship and handiwork the benefit of the doubt and install your old LCD+Touch Panel and see what happens. If you have everything installed correctly with every cable connected to it proper location then you should be able to boot normally.
