Can anyone tell me what this is and why it shows up randomly?

Hi all,
I've got an issue with something appearing at random on my N5 and I have no idea what is causing it or how to make it stop. Occasionally I get a blue bar with an "@" and a number behind it along with an "ok" button below it which appears on my phone at random times. I have to hit the ok button to get it to disappear. I don't know what it is or what it's for. It comes up randomly and with no specific action on my part triggering it. Last time was a few minutes ago not long after I opened the play store. Another time it happened not long after I opened Boat Browser. Other times it will pop up when I'm just navigating menus. I posted a screenshot to show what I mean. Does anyone know what this is?
FYI, I'm running Purity Rom, and using Nova Launcher. Don't know if that's relevant. Thanks

[Q] Weird icons on android phone.

Like 5 minutes ago I was about to charge my phone when I noticed some weird notifications in chinese writing that said "brendan's url" and then the weird chinese writing. Then I saw three icons with the android face on them that said the same brendans url. I just really dont know what they are or the purpose. Its just weird! Has anyone seen this or should I be worried? Maybe its a virus or something.

Text message issues

I know i saw others complain about lag, but as i am texting the side bar with the settings pops up randomly constantly as im typing its driving me nuts! Anyone have this issue or know how to fix? Its not just in text its on internet browser too as i type another box with settings pops up. Ive had nothing but issues with this update ?

I have a similar issue with my S7. Pretty sure I turned this off before the Nougat OS upgrade and it came back. There's one game specifically that I play that has small buttons on the right side of the screen, and about half the time the stupid sidebar comes up. I've looked around and don't see how to remove it.
There's a lot of old posts about disabling multi window but that doesn't seem to apply to the current devices.
Edit: So after wondering why I couldn't find barely info on this, I thought maybe it's not the S7's software but my launcher. Lo and behold, the dock was from Go Launcher. Going into Go Settings and then Dock I was able to again disable the side dock (It was marked as disabled, had to enable then disable). Hope that helps someone experiencing this!

Popup error while recording

Hi there,
Whether I try to record a video and in this case screen record I have this error that keeps popping up. I click it to go away and it just pops up straight after. Its very annoying and I've shown the error in the screen shot attached along with the info about my handset. It still does record the audio but it just pops up over and over.
Has anyone else had this issue and if so what can I do to fix it?
My phone is rooted and nothing else. No rom etc just root access.

So what is that .apk file? I have that in my download folder, haven't the slightest, google it which led me here, one of two search results. Thanks.

Messages issue - can't send, shows as draft, restart required

Hey all, I've been having trouble with Messages on my Pixel 2 and curious if I'm alone (currently on version 3.9.039 but has been happening for 6+ months with previous versions too).
The pattern is the same every time, and happens almost daily. I'll type out a message into the box, hit the arrow to send, message disappears from the box (like it's sent), but then doesn't show up in the conversation. If I go back to my list of conversations, a portion of the message shows in the preview as if it's still a draft. But if I touch the thread to go back into it, there's nothing in the message box and it's still not showing up in the conversation. My only solution is to restart the entire device (forcing the app to quit and re-opening doesn't help). After a restart, go back into Messages, message still shows as a draft in that particular thread, but then when I touch it to go back into the conversation it now shows a portion of the message in the text box, I can finish what I intended to say, hit send, and all's normal.
It's quite maddening to have to regularly reboot just to get Messages to cooperate. I've tried searching around generally for tips, but this particular issue is hard to describe in a way that returns any useful hits.
Anyone else experience anything like this?

I've been having the same issue. No idea how to fix it. Also running the latest Android Messages on a Pixel 2 on Google Fi.
