Any possibility that we could get the camera application from the LG G4? I really like what LG has done with the Pro Mode
I remember reading somewhere that once we get the 5.1 update, it will include improved camera controls. But for the life of me, I can't remember the site it was on. So we just need to be patient for now

Upon, doing a bit of research, the imaging sensor on the Flex2 looks to be an older Sony IMX-135, this camera is in use on the Galaxy S4 and Im seeing varying degrees of certainty on whether or not the Camera2 API will fully work on the GS4. anybody with a flex2 mind running the manual camera compatibility test?
Flex 2 does not support the new camera API stuffs. Thanks to @wolfgart for confirming.

Very bad to hear that LG don't support row mode as you have discovered.
LG : if you are reading here, check your lags on the UI.
I want to say also that is not acceptable to have lags on this UI ( i have F510K variant ) we have DDR4 modules !!!!

I don't think so.
Actually I have built some application with camera2.0 api base on TestingCamera2 to capture SENSOR_RAW data.
what is the manual camera compatibility test? does it mean CTS for camera2.0?

It is an app on the play store.
Contrary to what wolfgart and autoprime say, running the compatibility test checks as 100% compatible with camera2 api. I have not downloaded yet, because my phone is one of the lemons with weird pink squares all over my screen. Swapping in Monday.
I can also confirm the lg g flex 2 is showing as camera2 api compatible...
Ive got the Unlocked Euro version.
I have search alot for an comparison between G Pro 2 and G3's camera, but havent find anything
Wounder if someone here know if there are any test on the web?
I've had both phones and I prefer the GP2 camera. Actually it was one of the reasons why I stayed on the GP2 and sold the G3. Images are more clear on the GP2 camera, especially in low light conditions, while in day light they look the same. Same thing for the videos.

The lollipop update makes video recording terrible especially in low light and interior conditions it,s grainy when with kitkat was wonderful, moreover the mode live effects is missed.

Ok, strange. An idea then is to skip the update and keep the phone running Kitktat?
Maybe using the Camera FV-5 can fix the solution?
Are the Camera FV-5 compatible with G Pro 2?
I was curious, do we lose photo quality when using cm12.1?
I remember on my LG Optimus L90, the camera quality went sour after leaving stock, photos looked more blah and grainy.
Is that the same case on the Moto G 3rd gen?
I really love the camera on here and would hate to lose its quality aha.
Thanks in advance ?

You can test it your self, just take some photo's with stock cam and than switch over to cyanogenmod or any other rom
and take the same picturs. than just compare them
There was a port of stock Motorola Camera and Gallery app to CM12 in this forum somewhere and people say it give stock camera quality
EDIT: http://forum.xda-developers.com/2015-moto-g/general/port-motorola-camera-gallery-to-cm12-t3201199
Hi, I simply installed from the play store the Motorola camera on the CM 12.1 and now on the unstable CM13.
I used Open Camera on the moto g 2013, but on the 2015 the Motorola camera has a better feeling. There also a lot of options with the debug button.
I couldn't make out any difference between the stock and CM image quality. Similar results for me. YMMV.
Hi,
at the moment I'm thinking about switching from LG v10 to Sony Z5 Premium, but I'm not quite sure about it just yet. V10 has few very important features (to me) which I'm not sure Z5 Premium has. I would really appreciate if someone checked the list and told me if it's possible on Z5 Premium. Thank you.
LG v10 Features:
Changing of quick android buttons (downline with back/home/apps buttons)
Quick snap of a photo and possibility to draw on it and edit it immediately after taking the shot
Manual Videa and Photo (if it's not possible, is there a way to use LG v10 camera on Z5)
Is the smaller size of the device a big problem?
Can I control TV/Projectors/Air Condition by using of the phone?
Is this phone lagging when I use it a lot? (LG v10 does lag quite often)
Can I use fingerprint scanner to unlock apps?
[Ill add new ideas, at the moment I can't think of any other]

You're posting in the wrong forum. The Z5P has its own forum.
