Screen flashes before locking - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My Galaxy S6 on AT&T before doing the locking animation, will flash its screen.
Is there anything that might be causing this? Could a factory reset fix this?
The original OS that came with my GS6 didn't do this.

Did the best buy rep just root my phone?

Yesterday my Verizon Galaxy S6 was lagging so I tried restarting it...
When it tried to boot the Android screen loaded as usual, but thats it. It never made it to the Verizon screen and the screen stayed black with the blue light on at the top right of the device. No matter what I tried (safe mode, cache wipe, factory reset..) the device wouldn't come back. I'm able to access the menus via [pwr + home + volume] but after resetting or rebooting the device goes back to android screen then black with blue light.
I stopped by BestBuy today and spoke to the Samsung rep who said it just needed a hard reset with a binary code update... I thought he was going to do the same factory reset method I used but instead he loaded a backup os off his laptop. This didnt work either and the device is still stuck unable to boot except now the android screen says custom with a unlocked padlock icon. The Samsung rep said he's never seen a device do this and advised me to either call 1800SAMSUNG or travel 2 hours to Atlanta to the Samsung service center.
I can't seem to find anything online that's similar to this problem and I'd rather not send my device off for repair or travel.
Even more so I'm worried the Samsung rep made the problem look like a root attempt gone bad.
Can anyone recommended any troubleshooting tips or steps to get my device back? It's a 64Gb Verizon S6 with the most recent android update and its never been rooted... Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!!

Check if Knox is tripped, if not you will still get a repair without problems.
Else go to sammobile and download newest firmware for your model and flash it via Odin.
Doesn't have time to write a step for step guide now, but will do so when I come home in a few hours if you still need help and no one else have helped you in the meantime.
I reluctantly called Verizon and to my amazement after a 20 minute conversation they agreed to ship me a new OEM replacement S6. Typically the Verizon support is a nightmare ... I'm so happy! Thanks again for your help.

Screen not working on wake up?

So I've been having this weird problem for the past few weeks, where on some occasions I would wake my phone, but instead of getting any image, I just get a entirely black screen with the backlight on. At first I thought it was from CM12.1, so I tried another ROM (Euphoria OS) but got the same problem. Flashed back to stock from Google which seemed to have fixed things, until today where it happened yet again. Does anybody happen to know what is causing this problem? I want to see if there's something I could look at before I get it try and get it sent off for repairs (I flashed back to stock and locked the bootloader again).
Thanks.

Very Odd Fault - N5 can get into fastboot but shuts down after Google logo.

I've been experiecing an issue like no other I can find online and I'd love to hear some opinions.
So, originally the problem was the phone's screen was going black straight after the Google logo, I had a hunch that it was a fault with just the screen as it was pretty badly smashed and seemed the phone was running in the background and you could get the backlight to come on. Then all of a sudden it would stop doing it and then start again intermittently.
I flashed to 6.0 to see if might be some random ROM error, but still exact same problems. Screen came back and then went again. So I grabbed a new screen and swapped out the part. Now at least I don't have a smashed screen and faulty digitizer.
Now the problem appears to be slightly worse. The phone gets to the Google logo again now but now it completely shuts down after it, but it still gets to fastboot! (Is fastboot stored on another chip than FW? If so that worries me.)
Any suggestions on getting some more info by troubleshooting would be golden. I've got some basic to intermediate experience with phone repairs, computing and electronics etc. so no need to simplify explanations too much.
Thanks in advance!
Have you tried re-flashing a stock ROM and then performing a factory wipe?

Anything I can about my broken pixel xl

I think saltwater damaged my pixel. It endlessly boots, showing the Google logo on white screen then "turns off" and boots it again. One time, randomly, somehow it made it to the lock screen and did show my custom wallpaper, but seemingly nothing was responsive - swiping, buttons, fingerprint.
Anything I might be able to try or diagnose to possibly save the phone? Anyway I could at least recover the photos (not everything had finished backing up).
This is probably hardware damage. Maybe insurance will cover it, maybe not due to water. Everyone knows Bout the indicator for water damage. But, factory reset in recovery mode is worth a try. If you can even get that much functionality. Or better, if the bootloader was unlocked or that be attained. Try to flash a stock factory image.

S7 Boot logo been replaced, how do i get it back

Recently i've been testing custom roms as i usually do, yet one rom as caused my phone to go absolutely nuts.
Main thing is, screen shows S8+, Not S& Edge anymore.
I've installed official S7 edge Nougat and its still remains.
Thank you
