[Completed] [Q] S6 SETCPU questions - XDA Assist

Hello, I just rooted my S6 and installed the xtrestolite rom which comes with the unikernel. I installed the SetCPU app, but I have two problems:
1. The default speed was set at 1296. Does this mean that if I wouldn't have modified the speed, I wouldn't have profited of the CPU's whole power?
2. It only goes up to 1.5ghz, though it says that it has 4 2.1 ghz and 4 1.5ghz, but I don't see how I can clock the other 4 cores with SetCPU. How do I know that 2.1ghz is really being used?
Thank you!

Betterbatterystats doesnt show up any 2.1 ghz info

...
Meanwhile I found this program CPU Z that shows all of the 8 cores, but that still doesn't answer my first question. If I hadn't modified the CPU speed, it means I wouldn't have had the 1.5 ghz speed??

[Q] Noob phone OC question

I followed the mod guide in the development section and overclocked but my phone now runs slower then it did before and scores lower on bench tests. Anyone know what i can do?
Thanks/.
I would try a new governor.
Try performance governor for benchmarks

Question about cpu speed rooted

Hi all.. rooted my s2 rocket and wow what a difference.. removed a bunch of bloatware and ran some quick tests in the house and got 520ms at 1512mhz..
I am fairly new to all of this and was wondering if this is good speed?
I can't wait to get some custom roms..
Rooted or not the processor is clockd at 1.5 ghz that test you want to run is a benchmark. And and you can overclock with a kernel. Look in development.

Quick system info reports my clock speed is only at 1.4ghz

Hi. I have a rooted HTC One X international version with the quad core processor supposedly. 1.5ghz but when i checked quick system info it says my cpu clock is only running at 1.4ghz. I have set cpu installed and i have ensured that ive set the min and max to 1.5ghz but still it remains at 1.4ghz. I dont know if it was like this before i rooted my device or before i installed setcpu, or if this is just the way its supposed to be. Please advice.
If ever this is unusual, could someone tell me how to fix it? Should i reflash the kernel or bootloader?
Thanks in advance for ur help.
You might find what you're looking for in the One X forums.

Tegra 3 in only 1 core go to 1.5 if you use 2 or more cores, then go max 1.4. Thets to save battery and dont get overheat.

[Q] Frequency

Im just asking out of curiosity.
Ive had the exynos note 4 and now the s6 (edge).
Ive used numerous cpu spy apps and never i saw any app record the frequency of our device pass 1.5ghz.
So, is our device locked only at 1.5ghz max or just that all cpu spy apps cant detect pass 1.5ghz of the exynos octa core? Or maybe any other reasons?

The app. it only records the a53 cluster and not the a57.

[Completed] I have two questions about s7 battery/ghz and rom

I installed Kernel Audiutor from Google play and I have the GHz set to performance meaning that they will run at the max GHz the entire time (that's 1.5 Ghz on all 4 cores and 2.5 ghz on two cores or 2.2 ghz when on the cores and 1.5 ghz on 4 cores) will this reduce the battery by a lot? I've noticed increases battery usage recently.
Also is there a way to install custom rom without wiping or does it have to be wiped?
Not sure if I've posted in the right forum sorry.

Hello and welcome to XDA-developers!
On Kernel "Adiutor" you have CPU tab that shows which core is running/idle and how it scales. This process is controlled by the "governor", in your case, you have performance.
If you have stock ROM and want to install a custom ROM, you have to wipe data.
