Hello,
my N915FY, me and my bicycle took a bath in the river. I disassembled it, cleaned it with isopropanol, etc. and it works again - so far. But i recognized an issue: the display wokes up from standby several seconds for a lot of time while the S Pen is attached. Sometimes when i include the S Pen the note asks me wich application i want to choose to finish search request. In this situation i cant set the note to standby mode by pressing the powerbutton. This also happens when i put a small magnet on the return button, so the note thinks the S Pen is attached.
I've done a hardwarereset, cleaned it again with no result. The problem still exists.
I am very thankfull for any suggestions. Maybe someone can show me where the magnetic sensor, that recognizes the S Pen, is built in the note edge so i can clean it again or change it.
Rom: original 5.0.1 Lollipop + Root
Regards Daniel
PS.: It doesnt happen, if i start the note without connected usb-port platine.

Hi! Starting last night all the sudden my note 10.1 doesn't recognize the s pen anymore. The screen recognize my input normally but when I take the pen out the screen doesn't read any input from the pen or my fingers at all times, it pretty much freezes. I put on the option to disable pen recognition when pen is attached and the tablet would read the input from my fingers again. I turn the show pen hovering option on the tablet seems to think the pen is at the very edge of a certain corner whenever the pen is detached(thus sensing the pen is hovering there although its not). I have tried to defaulting the firmware by flashing it with the stock firmware but it didn't fix the issue. How do fix it? Could it be a hardware issue? I live in canada and got the tablet in the states would I have to bring it back to US to fix it . Thank you guys for replying!!
I just factory resetted the device and this issue persisted..anyone know anything about this?
Sounds like a problem with the wacom digitiser part. Personally I'd return under warranty...
If there's a hardware fault, reflashing every rom in the world won't fix...
Nvm for random reason it starts to work now thanks for your help
SOLVED
How to fix - Do the staple trick that I did IF you pryed your lock button open. There are contacts which aren't visible unless you open your phone up. Put a staple lightly but directly into the slot without touching the contacts for you camera or any other components. A light touch will trigger it and the power button should create a electrical circuit for a second and my phone turned on!
Hey guys,
New to the forum members but not new in experience as this site is a great help :victory: (not sarcasm)
YES I WATCHED THE NOOB VIDEO - found another thread which said "Use a little screw driver move black tape and you'll see little lines touch the with screw drive should turn on"
Link to another thread I found but didn't help - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1621940
(MY PHONE WAS OFF AT THE TIME) Right.. so I dropped my phone on Monday and probably fell on top of the lock button when there's a case (yeah I know.. weird right) So I couldn't turn it on and had to take the backplate off and with staples on the bus (I looked like an idiot) but voila! it turned on. But when I reached home I pryed out the lock button as I dented it too much and now it's broken and the lock button mechanism is broken (the little cube with the clicky button)... I installed an app when I got home to use the proximity sensor to lock and unlock the phone (TAP TAP APP) *Free*
-TODAY- I woke up a while ago, and called a number I didn't know but called me.. so just as I got off the call I needed to end the call but the screen kept waking and not waking but he could of ended it but was stupid enough not to darn telecom marketers.. so I waved my hand to unlock it but then the black screen just stayed there and I took out the battery.. (stupid I know but I didn't want my minutes to go).
Thank you guys much appreciated if I get this done today. IT IS A ROOTED PHONE BY THE WAY!
Fixes i've tried - Plugging into a computer
Taking out the battery whilst it's charging and placing it back in
Placing the battery in, charging it, taking it off charge and charging it again
Hi, so I found my old Samsung Galaxy Ace (first model) recently, and I have come here to try and resolve the issue that rendered it unusable.
It will not turn on via the power button, I'm able to use the emergency boot feature, but it does not display the Download page (or whatever it is that they show in the tutorials). It just displays text in a box of hash tags. Whenever I connect the device to power via MicroUSB it displays the battery charging screen, however the grey/blackish battery never fills up with green colour (to indicate charging) as it used to. When I take out the battery and connect it to an external battery charger it indicates fully charged (I've even tried two external chargers).
I took it a part to see any physical damage, but did not see anything that stood out. Below are links to inner components and the motherboard/mainboard.

Can you help, and if it is a most likely unfixable, is there anyway of booting it via my PC, or an external device?
Thanks!

Help
Hi Guys,
I was really frustrated with my Samsung Galaxy S4 I9500 as it was continuously flickering the black lockscreen (with Time date) whenever I was on data usage. There were many users who have reported the same for S4 worldwide as well as Note. but none of them confirmed to give any valid resolution to the same.

There is also a few videos of the same issue.
The issue is obviously with the magnetometer placed near the Volume Down Key and I tried almost all suggestions over google. The one that finally worked is obviously not from my brain !! But this post is for people not to get misguided by other fixes and to document a valid resolution to the issue.
So no credits to me.
WHAT I HAVE TRIED:
Disabling Sview/ Proximity Sensor/ Air View options from settings. -No Help
Changing ROM doesn't show the Black screen but somehow the sceen gets locked randomly.
Screen/ Motherboard replacement - No Help
Fix:
VERY Simple..
Open your back cover. On the back side, there is a screw just near the Volume Down Button (named L1). Seems this screw gets magnetized somehow in the viscinity of the magnetometer.
Try the one that works for you:-
1. Open the screw, then insert it back but keep it loose. Dont make it too tight. Test and see if it works for you.
2. If the above doesnt work, open the screw completely and dont insert it back. In its place you can try to insert a brass screw if you have or else keep it like that. Test if this works.
3. Still not working? Open all the screws, open the body. Put back the body, insert all the screws just not the L1 one. Dont make the other ones too tight. Test now.
Trust me I have tried everything, none worked. I didnt want to go to Samsung Service centre, so thats your wish. But some users reported they were of no help. Mine worked flawlessly in the last step and seems the issue is gone. So gove it a try and press thanks if I have helped you.
Perhaps the problem I have to be a little "weird" to understand, the fact is that it works, but I ask the help of the community, if possible ...
I have a Galaxy S6 Flat (SM-G920I model), and there is a problem with my touch. When I click on the screen, it takes about 3 seconds to respond. But if I disable the "automatic lighting", the touch screen works (you can see on the display image that the button has been pressed), but there is no answer. I made this test an official ROM from Samsung ...
On the other hand, I did the same test patterns above, now a custom ROM (NobleRom_edge + _20151218 deodexed), thanks to XDA for the ROM. After the same process (3 seconds) remain with the problem, but when I disable automatic lighting ..... VOILA !!! Works normally touch, but the "scroll" only works if u move your finger on the touch down very slowly.
Also I made a test call on the device, but the screen is blinking during the course of almost dark call, really weird right? Oh, and after 15 seconds of inactivity, my device does not turn off the screen just stays on.
Finally, given these problems, I do not know whether the problem may in fact be the touch, or the light / proximity sensor, since disabling the option, touch works ...
...regardless of the aid (which I believe is a major challenge), I'm grateful, because I do not want rid of that S6 is an excellent player and I love it !! Sorry for my bad english
Thanks and regards...
