How to extract .mbn file (LG GM750/BL40)?

Hi,
I'm new here, and I want to make a custom firmware for my LG BL40. When I extract the .kdz file, there's a dz file. When I extract this file, there are many mbn files (like apps.mbn) and 3 .bin_1/2/3 files. It's the same with the LG GM750.
But how can I extract these .mbn files and the .bin_x files?
Thank you
Felix
is there nobody having an idea?
The little I've found is that mbn is an executable format.
Would seem to need to be decompiled.
I'm not sure on this and still looking around.

you need to use cygwin to extract files from your mbn files.

[Q] Conversion from ROM.zip into ROM.kdz

Basically, the title says it all. My question is how to convert existing ROM image which is .zip file int .kdz file so it will become flashable with LG tools(emergency mode).
Is it possible at all?
Is it possible to create .kdz image? Does such tool exist?
Thanks!
BTW this will not require to root the phone!
Not saying it is impossible. But if it could happen, i am guessing that someone would of already done it... hope you find something though.
Please hit the thank you button if i helped!
in my mind nobody wants to spend to much time and/or effort to create LG specific tool. But if some day spec of kdz becomes available then don't think it'll take too long to make one
I'm interested in such a converter tool as well, which would be especially useful for installing custom ROMs using LG's own firmware upgrade tool.

[TOOL/REDIRECT] LGExtract

Hello LGP920 users, I don't have this phone (I own a 970), but, I'm working in a tool that can help you guys too.
The purpose of the tool is to extract the files .bin / .fls from the .kdz files, to use the tool SmartFlash.
I don't know if this kind of topic (duplicated) is allowed, but, is a tool for "all" lg phones.
For now its really useful for P920 and P970, because we can flash files bin / fls with SmartFlash tool.
Other phones has different file structures...
Check it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=24083497
I'm not copying and pasting the text here, because I'm editing the another thread.
Please report any errors there.
Thanks.
PS: Moderators, sorry for anything
Thanks, certainly these tools are useful for developers.

Did anyone tryed to use Smartflash tool with p920? It could work with the right dll files.
I wants to ask you that why I can't to extract the rom of Lgextract
using LGP920.dll extracted wdb instead of renaming i extracted using the original name

With LGExtract, roms can be prerooted even if the Megatron root exploit is fixed Thanks a lot
Hi guys, going off another thread I didn't find this thread using search so just popping in the search word extractor so the next poor bugger doesn't get flamed for not using search
Tool is great and will help a lot when we get the next rom we can root but has a better baseband

Nice, good to know.
Please check the output files in a hex editor to see if it make sense.
If the file has some headers (boot, recovery, lgdrm, divxkey, fota, system, etc...)

If you can find out, could you post what modem/baseband processor is used in these devices: P920, P925G, P970 ?
This info should be available in the Service/Hidden Menu and in the modem firmware file. Look for "Qualcomm", "Infineon", "x-gold"...

[Q] .Jar and .Tar files, the .jar files need to be converted to .apk(s)

I recently downloaded a software for my htc sensation 4g, and the software come with 5 files. Two .jar files and three .tar files. In the directions of the software, it said the files had to be converted to .apk format. I got one of the .jar files converted through the website it gave me to use, and I saved it to the root of my sd card. The application installed, but I was required to install j2me. The problem is, I have this other file that needs to be converted from .jar to .apk and I don;t know how to do it because the website will not do it, and I have these .tar files, that I really don't know what to do with, because I didn't think .tar files could be used on android. I checked these .zip files, and they do have the java class files in them.I am just really confused about this, and I hope this is helpful enough to get me some answers. If not, please clarify and maybe, I could help with more info.

AllWinner: U-Boot Script (Convert .BIN to .FEX)

I need help converting an Allwinner U-Boot .bin file to .fex file so I can stitch it into my android update. I can't quite figure out how to accomplish this. I have found multiple resources to accomplish this but it confuses me a little bit. I'm utilizing a 'Live USB' Xubuntu Distro to attempt this. Basically I need a tiny tutorial of commands to enter so I can succeed.
Alternatively, would a native Linux user convert the file for me using 'Sunxi-tools' bin2fex? I attached the file that needs converted, in case that's an option.
If there's anymore information I need to relay to accomplish this task, please let me know.
