Camera problem - Note Edge Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hii all,
i have a problem with my camera on my note edge..
sometimes when i open the camera app, the image shown on the display is very weird..
its stretched out and horizontal...
i have the stock lollipop rom 5.0.1.
when i reboot it works again and after some time it will happen again...
someone knows how to fix this?

Try to disable or uninstall s health app

Is that the solution?
very strange.. what has s health to do with the camera?

someone has a solution??

S-health sensor is using flash in camera app. Did you try to disable s-health?

As far as I know there isn't any option for this problem
even in the system settings of the phone (the ones you can enter with different codes in the dialer)
Me to had the problem of a wrong orientation of the sensor
the only thing that helped was to put my sg3 on a flat surface schutdown and boot up sometimes more than 1 reboot was required (still on the flat surface)
if you flash a new rom the problem will probably be solved
Some apps have an option in the settings to calibrate the sensor within that app
Try GPS Status, it's free on the market.

Does that app not only calibrate the sensor for the app itself or for the whole phone?
But galaxy mini have this option on it's setting by default..

I don't think you opened it by a code or in a rom flash
since this option isn't even available in the testing mode of our G3
moste likely you had gps test or something open
in some apps there is an option to calibrate the sensor but it only calibrates the sensor for that certain app

As far as i know the G-sensor doesn't have any kind of app or hidden settings menu for re-calibrating the sensor on our G3...
The only thing that helped me is flashing a new rom or reboot your phone a couple of times when its lying on a flat surface...

You just want to do that because your friend's phone has it? "there is no need to repair what is working fine"
And most of the apps that use accelerometer as primary input give you option to calibrate it acc to your need

Camera problem

I recently flashed CM7 on my phone, everything is gonna alright but there is only problem with camera function, it crashes frequently. Is there any camera app instead of default app to solve this problem.

You can try out Camera360
The problem is from the kernel try flashing other kernels or you choose not to over clock alot that is NOT more than 600mhz that ll solve your problem.

You need to supply more information, are you on stock rom, stock rooted or custom rom. Have done any mods?
No information comes from nothing, we need facts....

Have you gone into settings in the camera, then the settings symbol again, then little cog wheel again and hit reset?
Might clear any settings you, or a friend, has inadvertantly set....
I would try to reset the camera from app info , I had a similar issue and that fixed it right up

if you are using custom kernel n
having official rom 2.17
try to flash it with clear kernel
as far I know all custom kernel are not compatible with the new update
Looks like it didnt help flashing ftf or wiping. It was not a FC but a "unfortunately camera has stopped" The same happens with flashlight.
The camera worked before but know i keep getting this message. Tried other camera apps but they just use front facing camera as Main.
