You need to supply more information, are you on stock rom, stock rooted or custom rom. Have done any mods?
No information comes from nothing, we need facts....

Have you gone into settings in the camera, then the settings symbol again, then little cog wheel again and hit reset?
Might clear any settings you, or a friend, has inadvertantly set....

I would try to reset the camera from app info , I had a similar issue and that fixed it right up

As far as I know there isn't any option for this problem
even in the system settings of the phone (the ones you can enter with different codes in the dialer)
Me to had the problem of a wrong orientation of the sensor
the only thing that helped was to put my sg3 on a flat surface schutdown and boot up sometimes more than 1 reboot was required (still on the flat surface)
if you flash a new rom the problem will probably be solved
Some apps have an option in the settings to calibrate the sensor within that app
Try GPS Status, it's free on the market.

Does that app not only calibrate the sensor for the app itself or for the whole phone?
But galaxy mini have this option on it's setting by default..

Please someone help me how to calibrate the sensor...
I have open this window on my cell but I forget either I open it through a code or it was in a rom flash..

I don't think you opened it by a code or in a rom flash
since this option isn't even available in the testing mode of our G3
moste likely you had gps test or something open
in some apps there is an option to calibrate the sensor but it only calibrates the sensor for that certain app

As far as i know the G-sensor doesn't have any kind of app or hidden settings menu for re-calibrating the sensor on our G3...
The only thing that helped me is flashing a new rom or reboot your phone a couple of times when its lying on a flat surface...

You just want to do that because your friend's phone has it? "there is no need to repair what is working fine"
And most of the apps that use accelerometer as primary input give you option to calibrate it acc to your need

ICS camera problem

I installed nexus beam and the only problem I have is that the camera stock app wont take pics! It says no available USB storage, when I have 1 GB free! I use other camera apps fine! Its just the stock app causing problems. Why is this?

Well I'm afraid to say that , incase you tried different roms and you stil have the problem , that there is a hardware problem with the camera itself or its connection to the sd card
I assume you did a FULL system wipe/clean/factory defaults with each trial !

IMHO I would not install apps interfering with system components (like a camera app or enhanced calling etc...)
Hopefully somebody can chime in here for a solution !
goodluck

i dont get it, Ive installed every ICS ROM up to date, and NO MATTER what, every ICS rom keeps saying my USB Storage is full, even when i have 1 GB left!! Only gingerbread works fine, i dont understand, what am i doing wrong?

AOKP v1 problem

Whenever i use my phone in potrait mode the screen automatically becomes landscape and vice versa.please add some patch for this problem otherwise the rom is really very smoother and faster ICS rom ever,as compared to cm9 nightly.

Ofcourse!!!
That's the reason I m facing the problem

Noticed the same problem, even my lockscreen got stuck in landscape and I couldn't unlock because the unlock padlock was off the screen, had to restore a nandroid.

[Q] Phone Switch Off Automatically After Removing from Charging

Hey,
I am getting an issue with my phone all of a sudden.
When i connect to charger it shows battery charged 100%, when i remove it phone switch off automatically.
I checked the battery and it works fine on my friend's galaxy Ace. I tried using his battery but same issue again. So it has nothing to do with the battery.
I deleted batterystats, bin also but no help, tried flashing stock rom again and same issue.
Is it has to do with hardware ?? My phone is out of warranty so hardware issues are unbearable for now.
Do you have a GB based rom?If no install one,or an official firmware and see if the error persists. If it persists go to a Samsung Service .

Don`t forget to press THANKS
Yep I have GB...tried most of the roms now. I guess it's an hardware issue.

Yeah maybe, better is to go to a Samsung Service and tell them about the problem. But don't tell them that you changed firmwares and put a GB firmware.Hope I helped you.

[Q] Reset Bin Counter

Hello, has anyone tried to use the USB Jig to reset the bin counter on 4.1.2 ?
My display stopped working after some time and i need to give it for warrant.
What i've read in other threads is that the usb jig won't work on JB.
Do you think that the counter would reset if i would install a custom rom like CM10 or just use the bootloader, use the jig to reset it and then just install the samsung stock 4.1.2 firmware from sammobile?

There is an app called triangle away
It resets your binary counter. But if u boot into custom recovery again the counter will increase again. So use this app right before you flash stock via Odin.

Phone has to be rooted for triangle away.

The problem is that my screen is not working and i cant see what i'm doing. Dev mode is not enable so i could do it over the pc.
I'm kinda out of options. I dont know if they will notice the counter if the gpu is broken, cause the screen is in tact.
Well if you have lost your display completely then it's going to be a problem. Im still confused. You lost your Display due to Software issue or Hardware?
If software try flashing firmware. If hardware like lcd is dead.. try connecting via hdmi, wlan, samsung play etc if ONLY our phone supports it.

Its a HW fault. Installed stock etc, nothing helped. the screen turns only sometimes on. Even while booting its off. You think HDMI will show my screen on my pc or tv so i can try to use triangle away?
Anyone able to guide me how to enable adb while in recovery mode so i have access to my screen over the PC. I've found a thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2238286
but it doesn't help me much out.
Solved
So, i've managed to use the ADB while in recovery and enable it in the settings files when the phone is booted. After that i've managed to install triangle away and reset the bin counter to 0. Dropped the stock and now going for my warranty
Took me some time to do that. Had a lot to read, but it was worth it.
Well done, good to know that adb can help in such cases

According to this, it does http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=23951568&postcount=15
But, there are also others who say from experience of sending their device with a different country's official Rom, that it doesn't.
Depends on one's luck?

It should not void it cause its original samsung firmware, but i'd suggest to get back to the stock of your country.
Just to add that i got a brand new phone after a few days. They did not tell what got broken tho.....
