I love this font but cannot seem to find it anywhere except in the Alliance Rom framework which is not available (as far as I know) for 5.1.1. Does anyone have an APK or know of one of the downloadable font packs that has this font contained within? Thanks in advance :silly:

Can someone tell me how to edit the main font style for a theme? I searched for a while but all I see is changing font color or fonts for specific widgets. I want to change the default font for the theme/rom. Is it an xml edit or what?

download typefresh from the market.. and u have to download andexplorer as well.. the system font you'll want to change is DroidSans.. i find typefresh to be the easiest way to change fonts quickly..
also, this should have been in the Q&A forum..

Well I'm building a theme and wanted to know where/what to edit on the front end so that people who flash my theme dont have to change the font. Thats why I put it in the themes section. I didnt know if there was a .xml file that told the ROM which font to use. If all I need to do is rename the font I want to use as "DroidSans" and then place it in the fonts folder that's fine, but I wasnt sure. Thanks for your tip though I didnt know about typefresh.

Thanks for the link. I will check that out. JAguirre1231 gave me this info which seems pretty easy.
Replace the fonts in /system/font
DroidSans.ttf & DroidSans-Bold.ttf for most fonts.
Clockopia.ttf for the clock font on the lockscreen.

yep just rename your prefered font to the fonts your listed above and replace them in the system.fonts folder. Some fonts dont play nice with android so its a test thing but most of the ones I have tried from my win7 box work fine.
Hi all
Anyone have the "choco cooky" font, .ttf preferable, and is willing to share?

there you go... OK, it's not .ttf but it worked for me though...
apk has been installed how to apply it using stock launcher...:|
You can extract the apk file and go into the res folder to find your font, very likely in ttf. Then you can use a Font Changer app to install the font onto your device.
Root is needed, by the way.
Or otherwise, you can navigate to root/system/font and replace the font in there - but remember to modify the permissions of your newly installed font ttf.
Is there any other good fonts in apk format?
Here it is...
Choco cooky
I have a choco cooky font that you can apply to your phone. I can send it to you if you want...

Build apk of personal fav font
The thing about fonts is we will always want a new one or switch between a few choices and they must be varies among users. Imho, it's better for us to build our own favorite apk font. The old apks seemed no longer works on 4.3. Can you give us a clue how to make it usable. Kindly skip the decompile/modying parts and get straight to the part of rebuild it (recompile and sign). Thanks a ton in advance and pardon the languange.
Use ifont on 4.3
No longer need apk, use ifont instead. Mine, version 3.6.1, not from the market. I recall installing one from playstore and it didn't work. With this all you need is place your ttf in ifont/custom. Let the app does its magic.
Thanks
Thanks. This is the only Roboto fonts that works with StockROM 4.3 on my Galaxy Note2. I would be appreciate if you could make apk for Roboto Regular as well. Thanks.

Sorry to bring up this old theme, but HelveticaNeue looks amazing on my 800x480 screen on the Galaxy S2+.
Unfortunately it does not contain the Cyrillic symbols, despite being the largest file (or i have a misconfiguration somewhere). Franklin is closest to it and does cover Cyrillic. The Roboto family does that too, but is too narrow for my taste.
Thank you very much for the great selection, it does certainly bring new looks to my device.
Is there any regular Arial? Man I searched everywhere and all the ones I found aren't compatible.
dacol87, is it possible to create font - sony sketch?
Sent from my SM-G900F using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Installed on my s4 Rom echoe 4.4.2, working fine, glad to use Helvetica now. Thank you:laugh:

Many thanks for the Robot Condensed Fonts. APKs install perfectly, and can fonts can be used readily using the Font Switcher in TouchWiz Samsung Stock 4.4.2 [without root/non rooted].
will this work on lollipop???
Can somebody please guide me how to change the fonts on my OnePlus One, or either let me know the custom ROM on which the fonts are available under settings for change.
Thanks in Advance.

If you are using CM12 (or 12.1) the theme engine let's you change fonts.
U can try this or this for many fonts.
Alternatively, there are standalone font packs for CM12 on the Play Store. Install them and under Settings > Themes set to use the font.
I wonder if that's possibkle to build an APK from own set of TTF fonts, that Substratum would list in font typefaces.
I know about TypeFace app that does so but only with fonts downloaded from web, now I'm looking for something similar that would work with locally stored fonts.

It's possible, but you'd need all the different variants of the font - there are 18 in each of the font zips included in the theme template.

I look on the zips.
They just contain fonts named Roboto-* but not being Roboto.
Does it mean Substratum hardreplaces the system fonts?
I've applied SegoeUIWP8 from a theme and Roboto system fonts are still Roboto.
I need some clue where Substratum places or registers the changed fonts.

Just use ThemeDIY.
It will convert your stuff from TTF to APK for substratum

Thanks, this one seems to do the job. Now, if I wished to create full-featured Substratum-APK with possibility of more named fonts inside, the only way is to use the Substratum template?
