This phone was bought on jd.com, on China. I received it last week.
So, for some reason, only 2G (EDGE) works, even with auto 2G/3G/4G activated. I've already tried changing APNs, factory resetting, calling my provider, and nothing. Only 2G. Also, for some reason, everytime I restart the phone the mobile data resets and goes to 2G only. There's also always a 2G symbol over my signal indicator, never changing to anything or even disappearing, on wlan or when with no connection.
It is updated to EMUI 3.0.
Is there something about 3G or 4G lock about this phone?

In which country are you trying to use it? If you are in europe you should have buy the wcdma versions which are h60-l02 and h60-l12.

I have the same isue with honor 6 h60-l01 . The phone specification say LTE band 38(2600), 39(1900), 40(2300) - H60-L01 which is the band from rcs-rds Romania. What is the problem.

So i've got this nicely unlocked, shiny, G2x. (Running MIUI right now, please don't judge me) Anyways, I'm in Morocco, and am trying to use Maroc Telecom (IAM) which has 3g data (their site even claims HSPA+) and these are the frequencys they use:
GSM 900 / GSM 1800 / UMTS 2100
And copy pasted from the T-Mobile website, the G2x uses:
Quad band GSM (850/900/1800/1900 MHz), Dual band UMTS (1700/2100 MHZ Bands 1 & 4)
To me that looks compatible. Trouble is, i'm getting no data whatsoever, not even 2g, in an area that I know should have at least 3g. I've signed up for the plan correctly, I'm sure of that. And my G2x automatically picked up the APN settings when I first turned it on (and I verified that they are correct) but still not a hint of internet access. This is driving me crazy!! any hints would be greatly appreciated.
Just guessing, but does it think you're roaming. Maybe try enabling data roaming to see if it recognizes the data then.

It wouldn't be roaming if he bought a sim for that system as he says. Probably APN has a typo or not selected. Have to push radio button so it has a green dot to enable the APN. If that doesn't work then contact carrier to reset data on the account. I have had to do that in the past here in Thailand. Have you also tried turning the phone off and on, or doing airplane mode. Sometimes that is needed once.

Unfortunately, i've tried and double tried all those things, except getting the carrier to reset the data plan. I'll do that next. Now I just have to get through a bunch of menus in French & Arabic
Are you running Market Enabler. It can screw you up royally if you change sim and it was set to fake at boot. I had that on a Nexus One and had to factory reset the phone to get data working again when I changed sim.
Thanks for the advice. I don't think i'm faking my sim - unless that's something that comes with CM07 and I just don't know about it. Also I tried it on stock before flashing with no different result, so i'm pretty sure that's not it. Went to the office of Maroc Telecom, who replaced my sim (but still no luck) and an INWI sim which i'd previously been able to get 2g coverage on now gives me nothing. It is the weirdest thing and I feel stuck. Has anyone actually gotten a g2x to work on any other network?? is there some sort of Tmobile lock which is preventing me because i'm not using a tmobile sim? (And i'm not talking about the phone being 'locked', obviously i've gotten it unlocked, and can make calls just fine, and did have that short spell of 2g data on INWI) Anyways, i'm about ready to throw this very expensive phone out the window, because what is a smartphone without data?? I use my G2X in Thailand on TOT3G with no problems. They run 3G on Band 1 (2100/1900). Figure out what band it is. There about fifteen different 3G bands in use. Most people don't realize it but 3G radios use two frequency spectrums at the same time. There is an uplink and downlink. For example 2100 Band 1 uses 2100Mhz downlink and a 1900Mhz uplink. Band 4 is 1700Mhz uplink and 2100Mhz downlink. So the 3G radio in the G2X also transmits on 1900Mhz. But the 1900 Band 2 uses 1800Mhz as an uplink, which the 3G radio in the G2X doesn't support. Most companies that say they are on 2100Mhz are referring to Band 1. If they are running Band 1 the G2X definitely supports it. If you have sim unlocked the phone there is nothing preventing you from getting 3G reception on any carrier in the world.
Download "Network" (https://market.android.com/details?id=de.mangelow.network&feature=search_result) from the Android Market and run it. Scroll down to where it says what type of connection you want and make sure "WCDMA preferred" is selected. If the phone somehow got set to "2G only" you will never get 3G reception until you change it. That happened to me once on a Nexus One and took me a while to figure it out.
CM7 and some other custom roms are known to be having connectivity issues. I suggest you flash back to stock and make sure your apn is correct. If your apn is wrong in any way, the connection will be refused by the cell system.

i have problem with my data connection. when i set the preferred network to WCDMA only and LTE only. my phone has no signal at all. i have a strong 3G connection on my other phones.
is it a baseband problem?
if it is. how to flash the correct baseband for my F350L?
or this maybe a hardware problem?

I see that you are from Manila and using a F350L please check supported bands by your network and the supported bands of F350L if they are compatible.
i did check it and it is same bands use here. there are f350L users here with no problems using their 3G connection.
My F350L is LTE-8 other F350L are LTE-A. I suspect that this two have different band
I am having the same Problem up here in Ohio
No matter what I try I can not seem to get this phone to do anything besides just G I am running the F350S on AT&T

I put the Checkmarks on the bands that AT&T Supports. But I am still only getting G

Some days back i noticed that i had no network on my phone so I tried inserting another sim into the device and still got the same result but other devices around had network coverage. I changed the network mode to GSM only and got 2G but WCDMA only gives me nothing. I have tried other sims on GSM only mode and got 2G but when i change the mode to WCDMA only, i get nothing at all. Have also put it to GSM/WCDMA auto but keeps giving me just 2G network only. I have even had to downgrade the OS from android 5.0.1 to 4.4.2 as suggested by a friend and still got the same issue. Please, what should i do??????

I have the same problem in Holland. I have the F350k variant) 3G is in Holland 900/2100. The phone has despite of the advertisement text !!! by selling (900/2100) 850/1900/2100. The 2100 band is the same so should work.
Tried a lot. By the way last software and Androi 5.0.1.
The Sim is not the problem, the APN setting not, ........

Hello, I am from Nigeria.
I bought my LG D838 on eBay in May 2015 and was quite impressed with the performance but my pride and happiness was short lived. I woke up one morning in December 2015, and noticed I didn't have any cell reception. I checked with my siblings and I seemed to be the only one who had no cell reception on the same network as theirs.
I swapped SIMS of other networks into my phone but still to no avail but funny thing was that whenever I change network mode to 2G only, I get reception but switching back to 3G only mode gave me nothing at all...this happened a few days after I updated the OS with a 50MB patch file using OTA as prompted. I have been writing to LG since then but no reply and it has frustrated me so much as I bought this phone for about USD 398 and didn't even get to use it up to a year. I managed it on 2G while trying to contact LG about it until the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth stopped responding also. I need the NV and QCN backup file for this phone in order to get it running again…I would really love to see this beauty run again. Please help me out.

My oneplus one has a issue for a long time. I live in Turkey and using a network provider named "Avea". With di.3.0 alpha baseband I get no reception no matter what I do, however its like a bug. my sim service trying to reconnect every 5 seconds like in loop.
The issue is: In my country we still have 3G not LTE. and still in many areas beacuse of our networks are so not strong our phones got Edge signal. The problem on my opo is I only have 3G, my 2G band is lost. My GSM band is lost too. If choose another prefered network type instead of 3G my network is lost.
I guess this loss of bands on my phone, DI3.0 baseband modem is not working too. How can I bring back my 2G and GSM bands ?

Still having the same problem with my lg g pro f240s...When i choose wcdma preferred is not working and i loss signal but when i choose gsm i get signal.I travelled to different locations but still getting the same problem.
I also tried to flash a new modem but locked my network but thanks to a Nandroid backup i did i restored it.And my phone was back to it state again.

So my Nexus 5 stopped working the other day, and I sent it for repairs. It's come back now and I got a new SIM. Airtel 4G here in New Delhi, India. The problem is, it will only show me a 2G connection/no signal at times. I don't know what to do. The SIM works in other phones perfectly well. I've tried going to *#*#4636#*#* and changing to WCDMA only. Doesn't work. What is the alternative solution guys?
The phone was bough in the USA but before it got repaired, 3G worked flawlessly. So at least that should work, if not 4G.

Hi, Airtel as I see operate in 2G (GSM, EDGE), 3G (HSPA+) and 4G (TD-LTE band 40). But Nexus 5 (USA model) D820 doesn't support TD-LTE (band 40), so for sure you can't connect to 4G. But 2G and 3G should be ok. You can reset network settings and check again.

Yes. 3G should work at least. But it isn't and that's the problem. Before repairing it, it used to work with my mom's Vodafone 3G connection. What's the solution here?
Can you try to restart and after that change to "GSM auto (PRL)" from *#*#4636#*#* menu? Are you tested other device with this SIM in the same location ?

Tried that. With no luck. I changed it to GSM auto (PRL) and stayed on that menu. Still showing E with full signal strength.
Any idea guys?

i had this problem on my d821 eu version in algeria same problem as you sometimes i got 3g but no lte :/ it got boring so i sold it tried every rom on every android version official and unofficial diffrent radios and basebands it just doesnt work you should say goodbye to it sorry
