Did you change the csc in buildprop? I had mine set to XAS and I got that message as well. So I reverted to SPR, deleted data for the Theme store, & rebooted. It worked afterwards.
Once the theme store worked again, I changed back to XAS.

Long story short, I lost all cellular data (did not lose EMEI or any of that stuff).
I was able to restore data and calling functionality.
I was unable to restore sms/mms.
Whenever I open up Messaging, it force closes on me.
My LED is blinking the color it would when I have an unread message. So I guess I'm receiving them, the app is just busted.
I have tried replacing mms.apk, wiping the app's data, reflashing the rom, using a different app, etc. But nothing works.
Here is a link to my original post about it in another thread:

I am a very heavy texter, so this is something that is very important for me to have.
I would rather not have to ODIN and redo everything I have on ParanoidAndroid (you all know that feel).
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
*EDIT*
I used Odin to flash back to rooted stock image. Then went into stock recovery and did a full wipe twice.
Now I have no data at all.
Did you delete any apps with TB? I accidentally deleted Badgeprovider.apk yesterday and i got the exact same issue with MMS/SMS. Check to make sure you didnt and if you did use the link below. Unzip the file, find badgeprovider, add it to system/app, then set permissions, reboot.

Wow, I didn't even have it in there.
Anyways, put it in, set permissions, rebooted.
Nothing. Still broken.

I'm aware of that app.
Using that setting restores data, but calling and texting still doesn't work.
Try setting it to lte/cdma/evdo

Tried it, it goes to roaming.
I went to Verizon and they couldn't even get it working again.
IMEI and all that is intact, so it's not a problem there.
I am baffled.
Hello everyone, I'm new here and new to all the rooting and flashing business.
I just installed CyanogenMod 7.2 on my LG-P999 for the first time. Literally everything was going well except for the fact that I can't receive text messages. When I text people they receive it though, and call still works perfectly. I haven't tried of mobile network works yet because I don't have enough prepaid load
I should also mention that I am not using T-Mobile anymore as I am in another country. My SIM is connected to Globe Telecom in the Philippines.
I've tried restoring my backup of the stock ROM, yet that doesn't bring the texts in either, and it disconnects my network when I try running a USSD code. I really can't pinpoint the problem so can anyone please help me out? :crying:
Thank you
Go into wireless settings and make sure your APN is set up correctly.
If that doesn't work, maybe you need to flash the baseband fix. I can't link to it from my phone, but do a search on the forums.

If you're on the newest baseband (march 2012) then flash the first link.

Okay, I flashed that baseband. I also took the initiative and flashed Mazout360's custom kernel, but still no dice
Have you checked your apn settings? Do a Google search for what your device and carrier's apn settings should be and make sure they match.
On a side note (not surrle if this will work or not but worth a shot) download Getril from the playstore. Its free. Open it and use it to check to make sure your ril and baseband are matching. When i flashed cm7 my ril and baseband did not match
-custom sig.

Yeah, my APN is perfectly fine, double checked online. I think it even got the settings straight from the SIM.
And oh boy. It says "Unkown RIL file found" and that my "RIL and baseband 'might' match". So yeah, I probably should download a new RIL, but do you know which one it is? I'm using the March 2012 baseband with the fix you linked earlier.
This really sounds like your sim card isn't working right. Maybe you could try getting a new one and see if that works. As for ril download getril and have it install v21y.
Okay, I took it to the extreme and completely restored my stock ROM, flashed the stock recovery, and unrooted my phone.
And... I get the same problems as with CM7...
I put in my mom's SIM card (same carrier) in my phone too to try it out. Again, same issues. Tried it with my dad's (different carrier). And again, same issues.
A peculiar thing I found is when I type in the USSD code *143# (the code for managing your prepaid account), the calling app crashes and the whole phone disconnects from the network service. At that point there's no way for the radio to work again except for a reboot.
This is getting really weird...
I'm out of idea man. The only thing left that I could think of would be to use ROM for recovery using NvFlash. I've seen Mansa_Noob recommend it to people telling them that it basically rebuilds the phone from scratch at the lowest possible software level.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1248644 Here's the link to the thread about ROM for recovery. I have never used it and I know nothing about using KDZ firmware of LG updater tool. All I know about this method really is that it's a last resort for the G2X that makes it "unf**kable" lol

If a NvFlash doesn't resolve it then I don't know what will.
I updated my 930F to BTU firmware, stock, unrooted etc. and now Android Pay does not work. It was working with TUR but not anymore.
Any suggestions?

Update: my display scaling was set to condensed. I switched it back to normal and was able to use AP. My cards showed up. I then switched back to condensed and rebooted and it still works. So something with the display scaling was causing an issue.
Thanks for this. I wanted to try out Android Pay but couldn't get it to work. I uninstalled xposed and supersu and still nothing. After changing the scaling back to normal, it now works and I can add new cards (I haven't tried paying with it yet).
I tried changing to condensed though and it didn't work again.

Does not work with scaling set to condensed.
I am having a very wierd problem in my Samsung Galaxy S6 G920F.
Nowadays in india there is boom of Reliance Jio, i had a sim and using it. It supports LTE but in my phone it only shows 4G. so i did some research and found thai i can enable voLTE through doing some changes inside CSC folder in a file called feature.xml or other.xml. but in my case both didn't work.
so i started finding about that problem on xda and google and found this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/general/volte-fix-internation-varrient-galaxy-t3454015
i downloaded and dis as per what it said and it works as well. but after doing this i was unable to dail codes from dialer. even *#06# is not working.
i reverted back to original files as i have kept the back up of my original files. but still i was not able to use code from dialer.
What is wrong? is any file missing?
how can i fix it?
Use Odin to install your latest stock ROM, do a factory reset, then do the steps in the link you provided. Did you have a custom ROM installed?

actually the think is i dont want flash my phone.
i am not stock 6.0.1 rooted.
is there any work around without complete fresh install
I rooted my device and happily started debloating.
AOD (which I really do not need) also had to go, but it seems this is giving me issues with my lock screen. The issue being that there is no clock widget installed, causing me to have a lock screen only showing an ICE number. There is minimal and not being able to tell the time at a glance...
I tried re-installing, but it keeps force closing on me (cannot modify the settings, device freezes for short times). No permanent damage; but I cannot get it to work.
Tried clearing cache and data for AOD, of no avail.
Anyone know what I am missing in order to get it re-installed?
Thank you!

Still on stock ROM; had to use Odin just yesterday to fix an issue with the Play Store (same thing; issue, had to uninstall, continued force closes).
How can I flash the stock ROM (given it is 3,5 GB)? Put it on my SD card and flash with TWRP?
Thanks.
Just download the stock ROM zip for your device and carrier from sammobile and Flash using odin using download mode on your phone.
If you were rooted is simpler, just download a stock based ROM like SolDier's and flash it through TWRP.

How about installing AOD and then setting it as a system app with Magisk? There's a mod available to do that. Maybe it'll work then? Definitely worth a try before reflashing stock.
Also make sure you install a compatible version from APK Mirror. Most newer versions aren't compatible with the Galaxy S8. Go ahead and install 3.2.80.4 (that's the one I have installed on my phone right now).
Perhaps try installing that version and then try it out before going through the procedure of installing Magisk.
Hope that works for you.
see whether it disabled or no

This works almost! No continued forced closes; however the screen on action takes forever (in comparison to other actions on the S8),
I am just wondering how come the re-install does not work properly. Titanium removed the APK; I install another one.
Why is AOD acting weird?
