I have taken my new skyrocket and flashed it with the ICS stock (oneclick) rooted it using these instructions:
Code:
How to Root and Install CWM Recovery on Galaxy S2 Skyrocket ICS Firmware
Part I: Installing CWM Recovery (Required before rooting)
1.Download the CWM package.
Download Link | Filename: SkyrocketCWMrecovery.tar
2.Download Odin 1.85 from → here.
Filename: Odin 1.85.zip | Size: 199 KB
3.Extract the contents of the Odin 1.85.zip file to a folder.
4.Open Odin (from step 3) — double-click the Odin3 v1.85.exe that you got after extracting the file Odin 1.85.zip.
5.Now, boot into download mode on the phone. To do this, turn off your phone. Plug in your USB cable to the computer, but not to the phone. Then, holding the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons on the phone, plug in the USB cable to the phone while holding those buttons. Once the Download mode screen shows up, let go of the buttons.
6.You should get the message “Added!” under Odin’s message box in the bottom left. If you don’t get this message, then probably there is a problem with drivers. Make sure you’ve proper drivers installed. See point 3 above under Pre-Installation Requirements.
7.In Odin, click the PDA tab, and select the file SkyrocketCWMrecovery.tar (from step 1).
8.Important! Do not make any other changes in Odin except selecting the required files as given in step 7. Leave all other options as they are.
9.Now hit the START button to start flashing Clockworkmod recovery on your Galaxy S2 Skyrocket. After flashing is complete, the phone will reboot, and you’ll get a PASS message (with green background) in Odin. You can now safely disconnect your phone.
IMPORTANT Note: If ODIN gets stuck and doesn’t seem to be doing anything, or you get a FAIL message (with red background) in ODIN, do the following – disconnect the phone from the PC, close ODIN, remove battery, re-insert it, then do the procedure again from Step 4.
Part II: Root the ICS Firmware
1.Download the root package.
Download Link | Filename: Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed.zip
2.Transfer the Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed.zip file to your internal SD card.
3.Turn off the phone, then boot into recovery. To do so, press and hold the Volume Up + Volume Down + Power buttons till the first white Samsung text shows up, then let them go. You’ll boot into recovery soon enough. In recovery, use Volume buttons to navigate and the Power button to select.
4.Select install zip from sdcard, then select choose zip from sdcard. Scroll to the Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed.zip file on the sdcard and select it. Confirm installation by selecting Yes – Install Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed.zip on the next screen.
5.After the installation is complete, select go back then select reboot system now to reboot the phone. You now have a rooted UCALC4 ICS firmware on your Galaxy S2 Skyrocket.
I have the CWM recovery installed, but within Rom manager It's telling me CWM recovery needs to be installed and I need to select a phone. I see the T-Mobile Galaxy S2, but I do not see the ATT Skyrocket. Any ideas?
For some odd reason Im getting "Android is upgrading.. Optimizing X of 62" on every reboot.
Any ideas on this as well?
Don't use ROM Manager.... It only works for fixing permissions.
I'd suggest do all these task in CWM and keep rom manager away.

+1.
The CWM in app store is not as up-to-date as one would think. If you use it to install CWM it will install an OLDER version... Forget about it. I used to use it just to boot to recovery, wihtout the hassle of the buttons. Only for that.
Re the "Android is upgrading...." The old applications were not deleted completely. Wipe cache partition, Fix permissions, wipe dalvik cache (in CWM Advanced).
Good luck !
Finally it happend, NEW CUSTOM ROM (CWM Backup Mode) made by me.

brief assessment of the costum rom "pemergency" mod = which must be paid
- Setup / flash -> OK
- IMEI must be corrected manually by terminal as tool does not work
- Constant error message "simcard failed" (slot2) although only 1 slot has
- "apex launcher" can not uninstall, then stops at the boot process lenovo screen -> I would also like to use but "default / original" surface.
- Spoke only Russian / English / chinese integrated as standart
- Morelocale2 indeed is an alternative but not "original"
ok, first feedback - hope the rom is modified?

a) no comment
b) IMEI must be corrected and it is mentioned in a manual, it doesnt need to be done by terminal, you can simple generate a file and swap with a root explorer
c) This Rom is for A2107a-h which is a 2 slots device, so I dont see a problem on this point
d) I said as this is modiffication, I decide to remove a stock launcher, you can install any other one of your choice
e) I also answered to your question as for german language only original apps are translated and the main system, on other threeead is clearlly said as this rom using more locale 2 for translation.
f) and as a last one, why you expecting anything original in a modiffied ROM?
I stoping to doing anything with this ROM for a simple reason:
- FREE ROM = 900 downloads,
- PAID ROM FOR £5 = 5 downloads - embarrassing
Why?
and one more thing...
My correspondence with mrbonsen, when I tried to help him out with the installation process is also interesting. About 10 emails with instructions to mrbonsen and also 10 emails of insults from mrbonsen. That means something....
So conclusion is simply... go back to your original firmware and I will give you your £5 back
and also 10 emails of insults from mrbonsen.

if you tool mitsendest + description for the correction of the IMEI, it should work well. not every user knows another solution
But no matter now - can only recommend not to use this rom :good:
ask no insult but (as in the mails) what's wrong on the screen, apex launcher bug or "bug mrbonsen" - display does not turn or apex

You did a great job and 900 downloads are impressive. i have a A2107A-H 1GHz 1GB RAM 16GB Flash - how come nobody is providing feedback or helping out in this development? Could there be a way to update.zip just the standard factory ROM? maybe that could be possible by doing a diff on the chinese and european source code? sorry i'm just a lamer looking to help out. any news from lenovo developers on the 4.1 release?
today is your cwm rom accessible for download for trial?
Ofcourse it is possible to get back the standard ROM just ask someone who still have a European ROM to do a copy by nandroid backup and you can restore this by centeCWM. So after that you will have a stock ROM with CWM but without calling feature.
I nearly finish another ROM with calling feature but this will be based on Russian ROM. I just need to get European system backup to do it same thing with European ROM.

STEPS-
Android 4.1.2 Official Firmware
1.Extract Firmware zip file that you downloaded already from above link, you will get a .tar file and some other files.
2.Extract Odin zip file and you will get Odin3 v3.07.exe along with few other files.
3.Power off your phone. Wait 5-6 seconds for vibration to confirm complete switch off.
4.Now, put the Galaxy S Advance I9070 phone in Download Mode by pressing pressing and holding down the Volume Down and Home buttons while pressing the Power button until you are welcomed by a green robot indicating you are in Download Mode.
5.Now run Odin3 v3.07.exe (see Step 2) as an Administrator because Admin privileges is required to complete the process smoothly.
6.Now connect your Galaxy S Advance GT-I9070 with your PC using USB cable. A message will arrive under Odin’s message box in the bottom left saying “Added!!”. If you don’t get the same then you should try another USB port (try USB port located in back in your desktop PC). If that too don’t work then you should then reinstall the driver. If you successfully see the “Added!!” message in Odin then you are ready to go in next step. You should also see COM port with a number in Yellow if you successfully added your device.
7.Select these files in Odin at respective buttons from extracted I9070XXLPY firmware folder :
a)Click the PDA Button, and select the .tar file here with *code* appearing in its name
8.in Odin window, make sure Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time checkboxes are selected. Also, make sure that Re-Partition checkbox is selected, only if you are using a .pit file (see Step 7.4).
9.Double check everything that we mentioned in Step 7 & Step 8 above. Now, once satisfied hit the START button to begin the flashing process.
10.Once flashing completed, the phone will reboot automatically and soon you will see a PASS message with green background in the left-most box at the very top of the Odin. You can then unplug the USB cable to disconnect your device from computer.
NOTE-If you have PARAMETER ERROR delete.md5,extension should end with .tar and put it in PDA.

Cautions:
1.your warranty is now void.
2.do this at your own risk.
3.read the whole post before starting.
Flashing CWM recovery and taking backup :
1. Download the package and extract all files.
2. Extract the driver.zip located in drivers folder->1
3. Install the driver.if your OS is 64bit then install the x64 one.if the OS is 32bit,then the x86 one.
4. Open researchdownload application
5. Select the 2nd button with double cog sign.
6. Now a new window will appear like the screenshot attached.
7. Right click on the file name field.choose the files located in "Required files" folder of the package.
be careful here.Put fdl1 in fdl1 field,fdl2 in 2nd field and the recovery image(extract the "CWM-recovery-SC8810-nonpadded.zip") in recovery field. Then press the "OK" button.
8. Press the Start (Play) button in ResearchDownload -application (third button).
9. Turn off the phone.
10. Keep holding the "- volume" key. Without releasing the button "- volume" plug the usb cable
11. The process of CWM- burning should be started now in ResearchDownload-application and it will take approximately 1 Minute.
I think you can release the Vol.Button, but I had kept it nevertheless.
12. Wait until the CWM-flashing has been finished (A green sign will appeare and "Passed" will be shown in ResearchDownload- application window).
13. Remove the battery, wait 20 seconds. Put battery back and turn on the phone.
14. now hold the vol (-) and power button until the screen flashes (40 seconds or less or more) and now you are in the CWM recovery menu.
15. PLEASE make a full backup by the "backup and restore" option .make sure there's about 500mb free space in your micro SD card.
16. after the backup reboot the phone and PLEASE store the backup files in somewhere else..(the whole ''clockworkmod'' folder)
congratulation. you have done a full backup and flashed your CWM recovery.
Rooting device:
*don't do this.if u find that your backup size is lower than 250mb~300mb(slight +/- may occur)
1. download and put the "superuserandfullbackup.zip" in your micro SD card
2. power off your device.
2. Reboot to Recovery by holding volume (-) and power button until the screen flashes and recovery menu comes.
3. just go to "install zip from sdcard option and select the zip "superuserandfullbackup.zip"
4. flash it
5. reboot.
Advices:
Rooting is dangerous.so first make a full backup of your unrooted stock Rom just after flashing CWM.
Store the backup(size will be around 250mb~300mb(+/- ) in someplace safe.it's the life of your phone. If anything goes wrong,it's the only key to fix your phone.......be careful.........
Getting back your warranty:
Restore your stock Rom's backup. Then, flash the stock recovery(included in the package.find it in RECOVERIES folder),in the same way you've flashed the CWM.
good luck.and thanks for reading this.
