[Q] How to disable "Raise volume above safe level warning" - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
How can I disable the"Raise volume above safe level warning" and set my volume to the loudest volume?
The problem that I have is that the audio is too quiet when using the bluetooth in my car, so every time I have to reboot my phone I have to increase the volume, skip past the warning and then raise the volume.
This happens when I try and raise the volume with either Google Music or Dogg Catcher.
The problem is that due to my work, I have to keep my phone off so I go through this at least twice a day.
I had a search on the forums, but I couldn't find anything that was relevant to the Galaxy S6.
Thanks,
Dave

You have to root and load a custom rom or edit the proper files.

If you're rooting and editing files... why the need for a custom ROM?

Which file would it be? The popup is really annoying.

Oh bugger.
That's a shame, I'd prefer to not have to root the phone. I'll just have to live with it.
Thanks for your responses.

I do, but without punctuation it's hard to tell what you're trying to say...
"You have to root and load a custom rom or edit the proper files."
could be
You have to root, and load a custom rom or edit the proper files.
or
You have to root, and load a custom rom, or edit the proper files.
or
You have to root and load a custom rom, or edit the proper files.

Why has no-one stated what actually needs to be done? I'm rooted, running Clean ROM, but can't figure out how to disable the volume warning. Would be nice if someone could provide info on it.

Im glad you understood, but the sentence has 3 different meanings depending on how you interpret it. Hence why I asked.

I'm not trolling, nor was I giving ANYONE a hard time. I asked a question, sue me. I then clarified why I asked the question because the "simplest of responses" can be taken different ways, sorry I don't think in the SAME EXACT way that you do.
Then you chew out Oliv3 for actually having some sense... "smh" Toxic, toxic, little man.

lol @ this thread

Wow, sheesh, I didn't mean to cause all of this emotional strife. For the record, you don't put a comma before a conjunction if the subject isn't repeated.
Example: You have to root, and you load a custom rom or edit the proper files.
But, yeah, I can see now that it was slightly ambiguous what I said. I probably should have said: You have to root, then load a custom rom or edit the proper files.
Again, sorry for dropping llama bait.

Wow, that is the perfect thread! I guess I'll have to look into Smali edits because everything I want to change is in Smali.

THIS, however, was super-helpful.
Look, it's my fault this thread went off the rails because of an ambiguous statement and then a tongue-in-cheek response which triggered more crazy. Nobody was harmed, we all had a little fun, and like a good after-school special, we all learned a little something - about ourselves, about XDA and about not believing that people in panel vans really have free candy.
Apologies again for causing all of the shenanigans. I feel like this guy:

Cujo needs to learn to fend for himself instead of posting a new thread for every little question he has.
hehe...I know. From the bad English he used, I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt he's a foreigner and sometimes searching in English is tough for them.

Well said!! I agree 100%. Everyone else here had to read and learn how to mod their windows mobile devices and so should he. I don't mind helping someone out when they honestly can't find what they are looking for and I know how to help but when someone just asks for everything to be handed to them, thats just lazy and they will never learn anything...

I have no problem (and fully understand) the difficulties people have in searching and posting if English is not their native language (I know I couldn't survivie reading and posting on a board in a foreign language!), but based on other recent posts by Cujo316, I don't believe this is the case (completely). He appears to be just asking for handouts without doing any research at all. In one case, a link was given to him, and he replied back that he couldn't find that. I think its more a case of where he wants things handed to him based on what I've seen.
(BTW: I'm assuming cujo316 is a "he". Sorry if thats not the case, but its a pretty safe assumption 99% of the time around here )

Easier Root Method?

I've been holding off on rooting my Thunderbolt because I was waiting for a third party to make a program or app to simplify the process. It just seems to me that the phone has been neglected and even forgotten about.
Thoughts?
It's not that hard. Just copy and paste.
If you looked in the guide sticky you would see there is more than one guide for this.

My thought is that your an idiot for not doing it, just check the md5's of every file and follow instructions. Its not hard and takes max an hour.

Quite frankly, if you can't follow the "manual" guide, you have no business rooting. Don't root for the sake of rooting, root because you're learned in the process and the reasoning of rooting. "OMG THEMES!!!1!!" is not a reason.

I have to disagree with that. I didn't follow the manual guide to root, it was too tedious, too many steps. I rooted for sake of rooting, I had no intentions of learning the process and the reasoning of rooting.
I used the 3 click method to root and now I'm enjoying CM7.
I suggest all the 1st time rooters do the same. Its safe and easy.

You consider the 3 click safe when the guide itself actually talks about what to do when the program crashes? No, it is not safe and many devs and other people have spent ridiculous amounts of time fixing problems caused by these so-called "easy" methods.

So when you have a problem you have no clue what to do about it!? Dude... I'm not trying to be rude here, but this is LAZY! If you are going to learn to do something learn the right way so you don't have to make a post a few minutes later about screwing up and not knowing jack squat about ADB...

He didn't say violence was better, he was stating that if he was this much of a jackass in person, SOMEONE would have beat his ass for it. Not everyone, but he would have ran into someone that would have refused to tolerate that non-sense. Anyhow, you should stay away from making the ad hominem argument regardless. Ad hominem = insta-fail.

He's still an idiot. Hey he made the comment about violence not me. Just shows how "smart" people really are... If he doesn't learn ADB what's the point? The point of life is to learn not to have everything done for you. Ignorance turns people into idiots...
EDIT: Nonetheless some moron would be in jail for the violence lol.

Exactly. The manual method gives you a much higher chance of success as well as gives people a chance to ask for help if they get stuck or mess something up in the process. Easy methods do too much without verbosity, and you don't really know what it is that you're doing. When you know, you can ask for help.
Also understand this. I was a moron when I rooted my phone the first time. I did the 3-click solution because I TOO was lazy about it. The program did crash as the guide said it might, and I still stupidly went through it. Why? Because I didn't know any better. While successful, I highly recommend against following in my footsteps. I have since gone through the manual steps, and I actually understand what each step does, and I can see where each MD5 check is there for your safety. It makes sure there is no corruption in the files you downloaded, the files you copied, and no corruption in the actual flash process.

Personally, not learning the process of the "hard" way (it's not hard.. at all) is a mistake. You don't understand the steps that the automated way takes you, so if something fails it's even more difficult to resolve it. Check the MD5 hashes and follow the steps. You will learn during the process, which is always a positive.

[GUIDE]Newest Root Method For Evo 4G

After successfully rooting two prior Evo's with the old unrEVOked method, I thought it was time to update the guide for the new rEVOlutionary method. Basically follows the steps outlined on revolutionary.io but with a few extra helpful hints (aka GLARING omissions from their help text/instructions). Check it out and let me know if I missed anything!
Good job making the tutorial, I will try with a couple of phones at work tomorrow.

Many thanks for the guide. Just one thing to note. The steps in the tutorial start at number four. Looks good otherwise!

I think your rooting method will help others but believe me they will still ask questions. Honestly though the other two rooting methods for 2.3.3 on xda are basically the same as this one. Maybe all of you guys should get together and make one thread to be the referenced.
Multiple threads will only confuse already scared and confused people trying to root. Believe me I have helped quite a few that are truly worried and sometimes its simply because of them reading how to do the same thing multiple ways and are not sure which one is the best route for them to take.
Once again not bashing just suggesting....Nice write up though and suggesting roms is nice, maybe you should put links for stock rooted as well though

Good call on pointing out the benefits of rooted stock! Will update asap. And I totally agree about having a one-stop spot for info, but unfortunately there's too many to consolidate. The best practice I've found is to follow a guide on a site with lots of active users or with a voraciously active moderator. Speaking of which, that's a good idea for a write up! " How to cull the good information from the bad" or something along those lines, y'know? Heck, most of the people I know don't even know how to perform an efficient google search lol

How are you trying to edit it, with Root Explorer? Any time you change something, like the build.prop you have to delete the .bak file it creates after the edits. This happens also when trying to overclock, and when editing the echo table values. Root Explorer will make a backup file (.bak) and then you have to delete that .bak file in order for your changes to stick through a reboot, or even at all...

I never posted anything under the guise of being a "developer". You asked a very ambiguously phrased question, and I gave a response to what I thought may be of some useful insight. I have no idea where you are coming from, in terms of your experience or knowledge of the Atrix 2, so don't insult me when all I did was try to give you some help.
This entirely new "us" (n00bs) against "them" (Members, Senior Members, Developers, RCs, etc.) needs to come to an end. I don't know where people like you get off thinking that because you don't get the answer you're expecting is any cause for demeaning others. Next time you post a question, make sure you explicitly state, "but if you're Apex_Strider, don't bother responding because your knowledge is useless" and I will make sure to avoid you like the plague. As aleredlikeness stated, this isn't a good start for you; however, I will make sure that I continue to provide you support, despite your disrespect toward me. This is what will set us apart, regardless of your notions of my "help" being inadequate in your opinion...

I got a pixel 6. Not the pro. Nope I haven't even tried to do the adb yet as I'm not entirely sure of what it does or the purpose of it. As of right now nothing too specific. I'd like to know what the adb does and it's purpose and I'd like to eventually get to root this thing so I can have better control. So many options are greyed out for me that I know for a fact weren't recently. The settings I do change end up reverting back sometimes almost as soon as I leave the app. Settings for me is always crashing when i do something Google doesn't approve of. It's driving me bananas. Sometimes I'll literally sit here for hours fighting with this damned thing just to do something simple like play my music at the eq settings I want.

Is there a list of the system apps for a pixel 6 and what exactly they pertain to?
Not exactly any list. Pixels have the least bloat of any phones I know. Use a list with a file manager or app list app. Delete what seems unneeded. If in doubt, keep.
You can also get debloater which allows you to uninstall with one clcik. It is installed on your pc. You can google to find it.
Some things you can uninstall are Easter eggs, game optimization services, apps that you don’t need that you can see. Don’t delete any needed system services, settings, anything you think the phoen needs to function. Also, ones you uninstall, you can reinstall, but getting bricked and having to enter adb mode and finding what you need to reinstall is very frustrating and panicky (forgot the word).
App list app? So to do the adb the right way I get on my PC and do what?
I know what you mean. Messing with this thing I've already "soft bricked" it over 5 times. Longest was for bout 2 days. I don't know how to do safe boot or adb mode so it took me fiddling with it and messing with even more **** I don't get to fix it. Managed to not have to resort to factory reset tho. Kinda proud of myself for that.
Will I need to carrier unlock this before I do anything? My oem thing in developer settings is still gray. I know I'm still carrier locked.

This ia the intro section, you better search and post on the devices section.
Ps. To orb. If you saying you recommended I check out those other sections (which I did and they helped a lot) was you meaning for me to move my thread, I apologize. I didn't know that's what you meant. Thought it was as you stated, just check em out.

Hello everyone. To those out there that have already begun to help me and respond you have my sincerest thanks. I originally started this adventure just trying to get my pixel 6 to stop messing with my music settings and volume. Now I want to learn everything I can about all of this. In as broad and vague a term as that is. I wanna know how to do all of the things y'all know how to do. Please be patient as I'll probably ask some of the most irritating questions over the most basic stuff. Like what's this and what's that. Anyways thank you guys for the help so far and for having me.
