Hard Bricked After TWRP Restore - Xperia Z3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I was restoring a TWRP restore, and it said completed and whatever, but now the phone won't boot or vibrate at all. I've tried plugging into computer, holding volume buttons, nothing works! The only thing that happens is the led turns red when is plugged into charger and power button is being held, otherwise it blinks red. How do I fix the bad restore?

Not currently rooted as I see no need (for my usage) on this phone.
Had a similar issue long back with an HTC One X, it first went in to a bootloop one day and then in CWM it showed internal storage as non mountable and finally ended up like yours where it would not turn on. Ended up being a bad NAND I am guessing as they had to replace the motherboard. I think you just had bad luck, just get it replaced.......
However in one last attempt try charging for like a day and try turning it on could even be a bad battery to be honest... though probably you still want to replace it
Option 1:
Plug your phone into your turned on computer with the USB cable and leave it there to charge until the red light comes on (leave for 1-2 hours, more if you feel it necessary), then quickly put it on charge using the wall charger.
Option 2 (not likely to work):
Plug your phone into your wall socket with the USB cable and wall charger and leave it there to charge until the red light comes on (leave for 1-2 hours, more if you feel it necessary), then quickly put it on charge through your turned on computer using the USB cable.
If neither of these work (as dumb as this may sound)turn off your phone and put your phone in the freezer for 15-30 minutes (This is done to discharge the battery, wont break your phone). When you've left it there for your chosen time, try option 1 again. If that doesn't work, turn the phone off again and put it back in the freezer for the same time and try option 2. If they don't work, i'm sorry I don't know how to help you.

Try the procedure from post #8 from the HTC One X forum above:

Now I have exactly the same problem. Where you able to resolve it?
Edit: There is someone else with the same problem: http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/help/xperia-z3-dead-wont-charge-blinking-red-t3156982?nocache=1

can not boot

One day I went to use my tablet after a long time not using it. It was on the stock OS. And it stops at the Asus screen with the spinning circle I know sometimes this might take awhile so I let it sit for 24 hours and it still is there. I tried cold boot and reset to default and also the recovery image. With the recovery image I get a dead droid with a red ! above him. When I plug it into my computer I hear my computer detect it but I can't access it.
Guessing the OS is corrupted. Bring it back to stock again using easyflasher. You will lose all data by doing this.
You need to be in apx mode to use easyflasher. Press power and volume up for a few seconds and connect to PC. Your tablet should be recognized however the screen will stay black. Then you can use easyflasher. Good luck! Also, try to never allow the battery to go completely flat. If you will not be using it for a while power off.

it is not letting me go into apx mode. When I try turning it off it restarts and goes to the boot screen and freezes there. Is the recovery image on the SD card? I can get to the recovery so I might just put the stock zip on it and try it.
I just tried updating it and I keep getting the same dead droid and it keeps rebooting when I try to power it off so I cant enter apx
Try holding POWER and VOL UP and it should enter APX even if it isn't off first.
No matter what I try and how many times I try when I push the power button it just restarts. if I hold the Power and Volume up it restarts and sticks at the Asus screen. In the Device Manager for a description for the tablet it says "This device cannot start. (Code 10)"
I had that error and it was a bad USB cable. My cable still worked with the stock charger, just not for USB (MTP/APX/ADB)
I do have 2 cables and last time I used then both did work so I know that is not a part of my problem.
You won't see anything in APX mode and may think the device is powered off. So connect it to your computer first, then try to go in APX. You should hear the computer detect the device.

I know how to get into apx mode. I have used it several times before but it will not let me. No matter what I try it keeps rebooting.

Does it still reboot when you try entering APX mode if the USB cable is disconnected from the tablet ?

yes it reboots if it is hooked to the computer or all by itself. If I try to enter apx by itself or hooked to the computer it still reboots.
If I can't get into apx does that mean that I have a brick?

Possibly, or your power / volume buttons aren't working properly / getting stuck pressed in
Might be worth taking it apart and disconnecting the battery for a while / checking buttons are working without the plastic bezel over the top of them
Check no cables have come loose causing weird behaviour

I opened it up cleaned the buttons unplugged the battery and looked for loose cables. Plugged the battery back in and rechecked for loose cables. I tried going into APX and that is a no go. I have not reassembled the unit back together yet.
So what should I do next?
I got it fixed!
I unplugged the battery plugged it back in, did a cold boot then enter apx mode

[Q] xperia tipo supreme hard brick*HELP PLEASE*

Well, I've never hard bricked any android (so far), but i think that this is it.
I tried some swap script in init.d folder on my vengeance kernel, but after reboot (or what should be reboot) my xperia tipo didn't boot at all. Hell, it didn't even try lol
So, I tried everything: removing and inserting battery, power and vol+ pressed for reset, fastboot and flash mode on pc with vol+/vol- pressed and connecting USB, but no feedback at all- no vibration, no green or blue led, no ˝device conneced˝ in flashtool log, not even red led when charging with wall charger!
Only thing that still gives me hope is 3 red led flashing when holding power button, indicating very low power level, I suppose. This is the one and only feedback and sign of life from my phone and it's not showing when pressed power button while connected on wall charger or USB.
I have this phone on wall charger for last 3+ days, with no changes in described condition and behaviour, it had 'round 20% battery when gone brick.
I've read tens of threads involving xperia bricks, but they mostly involve removing cable connnecting motherboard and battery in order for chips to lose power and reset as condition for flashtool and stuff, BUT i figure it's for phones which battery can't be pulled out easily- which is not the case with my tipo st 21i
So, guys, PLEASE help me revive my beloved phone, if it is possible.
Be saluted, and help meee
Also, it had:
-gimlo rom v2.1
-vengeance kernel latest version for tipo-tapioca
-and, of course, unlocked bootloader
-----------
Update
-----------
I decided to try decharging battery completely. I did rubber band trick on bower button untill red led flashing 3 times then pause 1 sec stopped completely. Then I set flashtool for only kernel flashing - excluded everything but kernel - did rubber band trick on Vol- this time and connected with USB. Red led started flashing 1 time every 3 seconds for roughly 10 minutes, with no results. After that flashing stopped again, just like on wall charger. When removing USB and holding power button I can see 3 red flashes consecutively, then 1 sec pause and so on.
My hope is dying slowly, if there is anybody with any idea, please help me.
Be saluted all

If u have an incompatible kernel, the phone won t charge. Flash your ftf with flashtool. then leave on charge.

I would only if I could, but, as I said before, phone won't get into flashmode, nor fastboot. Please, read my previous posts
Tipo's lights indicate fastboot and flashboot but doesn't work
My case is also similar, i managed to flash one rom from my sdcard, which it asked for reboot, when i rebooted the phone , its not even going in CWM, even the sony logo is not appearing.
but when i connect phone in fastboot mode (Vol- button + power button and connect to pc), it green light can be seen. but the issue is, my phone does not detect on pc, even though i as sony pc companion. The same i tried by downloading pda.net drivers but nothing worked.
Please help...!!

And you tried with flashtool on your pc?
And if you have flashtool on pc and flashmode and fastboot drivers installed, and you connect your phone to pc while flashtool is ready for flashing stock rom, open device manager and see if there is any unrecognized driver. Then tell me. Also tell me if you have by accident windows 8 on your pc

I"ve got thesame problem like you bro last time after using a vengeance kernel latest version in my tipo, thesame problem like you told the only way that i can fix my phone that time is to install a ADB driver to my pc because when im using a flashtool it didnt recognize my phone in flash mode and fastboot mode but after installing a adb driver in my pc and im using the flashtool it recognize my phone but it takes time to recognize it for the first time so be patience and after that i flash my firmware and now my phone is working but i never try again to use a vengeance kernel to my phone

HTC sensation XE not turning on and no charge light

So today I was using my phone and then i could turn the screen back on. So i pulled out the battery and tried to turn it back on, however it didnt work. I tried plugging in the charger, but there wasn't any orange charging light (it was on around 60-50% battery when it stopped working). I tried connecting it to a pc, but there was nothing, i couldnt access the sd card and there was nothing on the device manager. I tried doing the volume down and power button and other stuff, after a while i managed to get the phone to boot up but it died before it made it to the lock screen (not charging). Is there away to fix it?

Try removing your battery and then plug in the cable connected to PC USB. I would also try doing the same with a unix based system, just to be sure that there are no driver issues(though windows should at least show an unrecognised device in device manager).
Also, can you keep it on charge for some time and see if the phone feels a bit hot...? If not, it seems to be hardware fault.

So last night, i left my phone to charge after reaching 5%. When I woke up, my phone won't start and it won't charge either. The LED indicator was not lighting when it is plugged.
I tried every trick:
1. Pressed down the power button in different lengths.
2. No. 1 but with the volume down key
3. Pressed down the yellow button on the sim card tray
4. Tested 5 different charger heads and different wires
5. Tried connecting to 2 different laptops to see if my phone will be recognized
I work close by a Sony Center so I was planning on passing by after work. I was already having a really bad day and my phone is not under warranty. Throughout the morning, I'd randomly check the power button if it will finally work. FORTUNATELY, during lunch, the LED indicator finally lit up! The batt was drained so I had to charge it and wait a few minutes before turning it on. Finally it's on. I don't know what the eff happened or if it is really resolved.

Xperia 1 II issue

Hey,
I bought the Sony Xperia 1 II today, charged, set it up, moved all the stuff from my old phone to it, all went perfect.
Then I decided I'd move music onto it, this is where the issues began.. I plugged the cable into the back of my PC but neither the phone or the PC would recognize eachother.. After some fiddling, plugging and unplugging, I finally managed to put the phone into file transfer mode.
After I was done with the transfers, I unplugged the USB cable and the phone turned off.. Now I have to have it plugged to the charger or I have to hold the power button to use it.
Any ideas? My guess is that it's stuck in some USB limbo. I've been wanting to clear the cache partition but I have no idea how to get to it on this phone.. Also not really feeling like doing a factory reset since it'd mean sitting through all the app setups, logins and jazz.
Thanks.
tl;dr
Phone turns off when you unplug USB/charger, works perfectly fine when plugged in or when you hold down the power button (it boots and lets you use the screen like normal, just a bit awkward ofc).
