I don't know but the power button doesn't works and the computer doesn't detect the phone when i connect it with the vol- pressed. I charged the phone all night and this morning the red led was on. I pressed the power button with the vol+ pressed too and the led went off.

So last night, i left my phone to charge after reaching 5%. When I woke up, my phone won't start and it won't charge either. The LED indicator was not lighting when it is plugged.
I tried every trick:
1. Pressed down the power button in different lengths.
2. No. 1 but with the volume down key
3. Pressed down the yellow button on the sim card tray
4. Tested 5 different charger heads and different wires
5. Tried connecting to 2 different laptops to see if my phone will be recognized
I work close by a Sony Center so I was planning on passing by after work. I was already having a really bad day and my phone is not under warranty. Throughout the morning, I'd randomly check the power button if it will finally work. FORTUNATELY, during lunch, the LED indicator finally lit up! The batt was drained so I had to charge it and wait a few minutes before turning it on. Finally it's on. I don't know what the eff happened or if it is really resolved.

Thank you for replying. I guess I was very clear.
Before it asks me to unplug it, my phone switches itself off. So when I connect it and hold volume down key, two lights flash (a green and a red one) and nothing happens. =/

[Q] HTC one S wont start, no blinking, no led

Hi guys !
My HTC One S died yesterday just before going to bed.
It was 10% battery, I used it for 10-15mn and it went down to 3% and then 1% and shut down just before I plug it to the wall charger.
I let it there for 5mn and tried to power it on but nothing happened. I noticed that the charging led was not even working.
I let it overnight charging and this morning, still nothing. I tried to enter bootloader with power+volume down, nothing happen
This morning, I tried :
- 2 hours usb charging, not detected by the computer, no led, won't start even in bootloader
- 2 hours wall charger charging. Still no led, won't start
Any idea on what to try ?

Ok, simulated battery pull.
hold the phone under bright light (sensor see's the light and allows to power on, something about a feature to prevent resetting while the phone is in your pocket). press power button, press and hold power button if that doesn't work.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe it is locked up, and really has been charging. Press and hold power button for 10 seconds.
Some have had success pulling the sim card, and then pressing the power button. Then when it turns on reinserting sim card.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Factory Reset option: would erase phone storage though.
If you can’t turn HTC One S on or access settings, you can still perform a factory reset by using the hardware buttons on HTC One S.
Press and hold the VOLUME DOWN button, and then press and hold the POWER button.
Wait for the screen with the three Android images to appear, and then release the POWER and VOLUME DOWN buttons.
Press VOLUME DOWN to select FACTORY RESET, and then press the POWER button.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Others have switched to trying to charge it connected to USB port and have it suddenly come back to life after a while.
Thanks for the answer

You should reinstall your firmware using Sony PC companion. Download it and it will give you instructions how to repair your phone. Make sure you have all the necessary drivers installed. this is official and simple method to repair your phone
Secondly , you can alternatively use FLASHTOOL.
If you still have questions, quote for a reply

my phone is still bricked. when using flashtool in flashmode, connected to the PC, it repeats the following message:
INFO - For 2011 devices line, be sure you are not in MTP mode
INFO - Device disconnected
Device connected with USB debugging off
For 2011 devices line, be sure you are not in MTP mode
INFO - Device disconnected
and the led light is red on, then off, then on ....
if i try to connect it to the power adapter, the led light is red with fast blink. And I try to use another power adapter (iphone's ), the red light is on, continuously for about 20 minutes, then off, at this time ,if i try to reconnect to the power adapter, the led is still off. after try power button or vol+ button, then the led is back again , but with the same status.
is there anything I can do with my z3? I'm desperate...
thanks a lot !!

did you hold the Vol+ button when inserting the microusb? Also, the device must be completely off (power+vol+)

turn off your device.
Hold power+volume up button and then connect your device via a USB. If however, the device disconnects, you should keep holding the power button and do not leave it.
Lastly, upgrade your drivers from flashtool folder!
Good Luck

you mean inserting the microusb connected with power adapter using vol+button? I tried ,but the led light still fast blinking in red.
I thought maybe the fast blinking means the phone cannot charge in.

Do this , Make sure you load all the files in flashtool and it is waiting for the device.
When it is waiting to flash, hold down power+volume key and connect it. Connecting before means, you will have to hold it for a long time
If it doesnot work, your drivers are outdated which as i suggested upgrade from flashtool folder

no;
when NOT connected: press power + vol+. After that you get two vibrations from the device, this means the device is off.
after that, hold ONLY vol+, and connect it to your PC, with Flashtool waiting for the device using flashmode.
the device will never vibrate, no response at all!
I went to customer service yesterday, they said my device is completely no response to any test and need to change the mainboard....how could a basically flash(just flash 5.0.1 with bootloader never unlocked) will result in such a disaster?! I cannot understand!!

Hard Bricked After TWRP Restore

I was restoring a TWRP restore, and it said completed and whatever, but now the phone won't boot or vibrate at all. I've tried plugging into computer, holding volume buttons, nothing works! The only thing that happens is the led turns red when is plugged into charger and power button is being held, otherwise it blinks red. How do I fix the bad restore?

Not currently rooted as I see no need (for my usage) on this phone.
Had a similar issue long back with an HTC One X, it first went in to a bootloop one day and then in CWM it showed internal storage as non mountable and finally ended up like yours where it would not turn on. Ended up being a bad NAND I am guessing as they had to replace the motherboard. I think you just had bad luck, just get it replaced.......
However in one last attempt try charging for like a day and try turning it on could even be a bad battery to be honest... though probably you still want to replace it
Option 1:
Plug your phone into your turned on computer with the USB cable and leave it there to charge until the red light comes on (leave for 1-2 hours, more if you feel it necessary), then quickly put it on charge using the wall charger.
Option 2 (not likely to work):
Plug your phone into your wall socket with the USB cable and wall charger and leave it there to charge until the red light comes on (leave for 1-2 hours, more if you feel it necessary), then quickly put it on charge through your turned on computer using the USB cable.
If neither of these work (as dumb as this may sound)turn off your phone and put your phone in the freezer for 15-30 minutes (This is done to discharge the battery, wont break your phone). When you've left it there for your chosen time, try option 1 again. If that doesn't work, turn the phone off again and put it back in the freezer for the same time and try option 2. If they don't work, i'm sorry I don't know how to help you.

Pixel2 HardBrick? No Bootloader/ Fastboot Mode - Only Battery Symbol

Hey Guys, sorry for my bad english, i'm from Germany^^
I have a problem... My Pixel is dead. :/
I have try to install a Custom ROM https://forum.xda-developers.com/pixel-2-xl/development/rom-aquarios-8-1-0-live-support-volte-t3768174 via TWRP 3.2.2.0..
1. Bootloader Unlock
2. Booting TWRP/ Installing TWRP
3. Wipe Cache and Factory Reset
4. Flash AquariOS.ZIP via ADB Sideload
5. Reboot -> Dead
No Bootloader/ Fastboot mode reachable. Only the Battery Symbol shows, when i plugged the Phone via USB to the Computer/ Charger.
Before that, Android 10 Stock was installed. The Custom ROM Based on Android 9.0.
The Device is not recognized by the computer.. I really do not know anymore.
Is my Pixel now an expensive paperweight?
If more information is needed, please let me know.
Hope someone can help me^^
Thanks.
What happens when you press Vol. Up + Vol. Down + Power Button all at the same time? Hold them for a minute or two it should hard reset the phone.

But after 30 Seconds the Phone vibrating. ...turns on, off, on off...
The battery seems to be discharged. Must connect the cell phone to the charger after a short time.

Charge the phone first and try once again. I think it's just the battery. The fact that it vibrates when you press the 3 buttons means the phone is still alive. [the red LED means the battery is fully discharge]
Note: Release the buttons once it vibrates
