Hey Guys, unfortunately I'm not a tech savy, I successfully rooted my Xperia Z3, all went well until I tried flashing one of Cyanogenmod CM11 Roms. Now it does'nt respond to anything at all. Volume keys/ power buttons are useless. However when its connected via usb to my laptop, It connects after 10secs though it only says "unknown device" (The USB device connected has malfunctioned yadda yadda yadd). If anyone knows anything on what I can do, please help. Thank you in advance.

Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. The best place to get help is in your device's specific forum here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3 They are the experts on your device. I would also try going to device manager on your pc with your device connected to it. Do you see an icon with a yellow exclamation mark on it. If so right click it and go to where it lets you choose from a list on your computer. Choose android adb composite interface.

Hey all!
I recently bought a new windows 8.1 laptop and tried to transfer some files to my OPO. When I plugged my device, it showed installing device software and after installing the window closed and nothing happened. In device manager it shows A0001 with an exclamation mark.
I have already tried installing samsung drivers, it showed up in adb devices but not in explorer so I uninstalled the drivers and got back to A0001. It is still charging though. It also is not shown in recovery..
I searched everywhere but no luck. It works fine in my desktop pc, I saw the drivers and it was listed under portable devices with mtp drivers installed but portable device section was not even showing up in my laptop :/
I somehow had managed to work it out in the pc but it was a long a time ago, it is too running Windows 8.1. And yes, the mtp connection is checked. If it helps, I have BlissPop ROM v2.1 installed.
Help!
Hi there,
Please wait until mods will move this thread to the device specific forum for more relevant answers.

Hi everyone. I'm actually working on a Hackintosh, and I need to connect my Android device with adb. The problem is that I have some driver-related problem on this Hackintosh that won't allow me to use my device via USB, it is recognized only if I use its software for Mac (Sony Bridge in my case). So I searched for a way to connect it via wireless, but it requires an USB connection the first time :/
Is there an other way to connect my device via adb wireless without the need for an USB cable the first time?
Thank you for the help!

Hi, thanks for answering me
I tried your suggestion and this is what happens:
On the device:
On the PC:
My device is rooted but it doesn't even ask for root permissions. It is connected to the same network as the PC. The PC is connected via cable to the modem, but I don't think this makes any difference. The program on the PC starts trying to connect as I open the app on the device, this means that it is being found but something else is going on.
What do you think the problem could be? Thanks again!
Edit: the same happens with his new program :/

Edit2: I tried with another rooted device, but the same exact thing happens. So the problem is not related to that device...

Hey all.
I'm real sorry if this is out there somewhere--which I'm sure it is.
I had no luck using the search feature.
My PC (win 8.1) will not recognize the phone when connected in fastboot mode. I have the drivers installed and will work/connect when powered on. In fastboot it DOES show that the USB is obviously connected but, again, PC doesn't pick it up or says there was a "problem" with this device....
I am trying to the the TWRP recovery installed.
In addition, why is it when stock "recovery" is selected is shows the android with the statement "no command" and does nothing?!
Thanks for any and all help and/or links
Can anyone help me on Getting My LG G PRO F240L back, it stucks and always restarting on CWM RECOVERY saying "Device Unlock! So Boot Success!"
I've tried to Flash KDZ LOLLIPOP using LG FLASHTOOL 2014 but stucks on processing . I Bet the problem is the "UNIDENTIFIED DEVICE -> NO DRIVER FOUND" When connecting it to Windows 7 Ultimate, I went to Device Manager and sees "UNKNOWN DEVICE" I Uninstalled it and Tries to Connect again to DOWNLOAD MODE but Unfortunately " NOT RECOGNIZED " the device I have changed different USB CABLES and restart the Laptop Several Times . I manage to UPDATE the DRIVERS but the Problem was I can't connect the Pocketwifi via Wireless Connectivity, I can Connect it with The Cable Inserted on the Laptop but Where the Phone should Get into Download Mode by the Laptop IF there's an inserted pocketwifi on it. Please Help who knows what to do with it... Or is there something that should Fix my LG G PRO that Stucks on CWM .

am i the only one who suffering this problem ??
i can't imagine that the developers and the specialists all over the whole world couldn't solve this f***** problem ??
is it possible !! this little problem marked unsolvable !!
after three days of continuous search for 24 hours looking for reasonable solution ?? till now neither me nor the other people who suffering just like me found the solution .
well i'll explain the problem i hope i could find reasonable answers from those beautiful minds :
my phone is galaxy s2 plus
when i connect the device to the laptop , the laptop recognize it . OK ? just concentrate
this leads us to conclude that all drivers are installed and updated and the usb port of the laptop works properly and the usb port of the phone is working properly too also this means that usb cable is good DO YOU AGREE WITH ME ?
so PLEEEEEASE DO NOT TELL ME TO CHECK ONE OF THOSE i have already checked them
now when i try to go to to download mode i should turn off the phone as all of you know as the device turns off, a small box at the corner of laptop appears telling me that the last device you connected malfunctioned and the computer doesnt recognize it . so how should i enter the f****** download mode if the laptop doesnt recognize the f****** phone i checked the device manger there is yellow triangle (at the same site where the device had been recognized before turning off ) unknown device "device descriptor request failed".
it seems normal for you cuz you think now in the recovery mode what if i told you that i have flashed wrong cwm recovery and now i am not capable of entering recovery .

Do you check the USB/ANDROID debugging mode is on or not?
If not ON , you turn ON it. And then try again
I experienced this with win 8 and win 10. You need to go to device manager and disable USB root hub.
Connect your device to the computer in flash mode. The computer will say “USB Device Not Recognized”.
Go to Device Manager and you will see your device listed as “Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)” in “Universal Serial Bus controllers” section
Now in “Universal Serial Bus controllers” section you should also have “USB Root Hub”’s (might be several of them). Click through them and find the one that has “Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)” in the “Power” tab (should be next to General).
Right click on that “USB Root Hub” and press “Disable”. Now you should have a small arrow pointing down on the USB Root Hub icon and the “Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)” should have disappeared.
