Problem during back to stock rom S4 - HTC One S

Today I tried back from CyanogenMod 12 to stock rom in HTC ONE S.
One S 1.5, TWRP 2.8.5, HBoot 2.15, S-ON. Cid T-MOB101
During this procedure: https://translate.google.pl/translat...OMu&edit-text=
In this 6. point "6. Turn the phone back - no, it's not over yet, but the worst is behind us. We run suitable for our model and already RUU.exe normally carry out the procedure ROM Upgrade Utility - Using the instructions of the installer. ". I used RUU from this link https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B1IYElPvrGZrdGR6SXIwYjgxd1U&usp=sharing#list
Installer (RUU) show me error [140]: error bootloader version.
After I close installer phone was reboot and I see only bootloader - On the top I see TAMPERED RELOCKED Security Warning)
I can not run Android now
Could you help me? Please
Update> I unlock it using fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin, but what is next?

Flash the proper RUU for your CID, you don't need S-Off for that.
Sent from nowhere over the air...

@thanks Rapier
I describe as I did it in detaliled:
1. Run fastboot oem readcid and fastboot getvar version-main and receive inforamtion Cid T-MOB101 3.16.111.11
2. Downlaod proper (??) RUU RUU_Ville_U_ICS_40_S_TMO_DE_2.38.111.10_Radio_1.09es.50.02.07_2_10.09d.50.04L_ver2_release_287723_signed.exe . Is it proper for my device One S 1.5, TWRP 2.8.5, HBoot 2.15, S-ON. Cid T-MOB101?
3. Run fastboot oem lock
4. Run fastboot erase cache
5. Run RUU (from 1 point)
6. RUU inform me that will be install oddest (something like 2.38.111.xx - I dont remember all number) version then is on my ONE S (3.16.111.11), I accept it
7. RUU reboots my phone, and HTC starts and on blac background was logo htc
8. After few minutes RUU installer show me error [140]: error bootloader version.
9. I accept RUU and it close and my phone reboot to bootloader On the top I see TAMPERED RELOCKED Security Warning)

I think I bricked my Sensation Xe

hi seniors
i am new to Android phones.
I have HTC Sensation Xe which was rooted and with unlocked boot loader, also have super user permission(what ever in technical terminology).
Hboot verion 1.29.0000 and it's S-On.
Recently I tried to install Elegancia Rom on it, after following instructions I flashed my phone.
After restarting my phone, It got stuck at elegancia boot screen.
I have waited for it to boot for more then 15 min, but it never went ahead from that screen.
I have tried to wipe cache and dalvik etc. and re flashed again. But every time it stuck at elegancia boot screen.
I have tried to restore backup( Nandroid) from recovery screen( which is 4ext recovery), but it not recognizing my backup.
Now I am not able to do anything on my phone, so please help me how to revive my phone??
Its not bricked. The problem is you are S-ON and so should have enabled SmartFlash in 4EXT or manually flash a boot.img using fastboot flash boot boot.img
There is a guide somewhere in the general section about flashing ROMs with S-ON, read and follow the instructions
Run original RUU from pc
Sent from my HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio Z715e using Tapatalk 2
I thank you all for helping.
I have tried to install Elecgancia sense 4 again by enabling 4EXT smartflash from 4EXT recovery and voilaaaaaaaa
My phone is up and running.
Thnx again

The type of stock ROM you can install depends on S-ON/S-OFF status, CID and Model ID. you have Sensation XE - Model ID of PG5831001 (I think) so you can only install RUU_Pyramid_LE_ stock RUU's
Then you have S-ON so you can only install the same or higher RUU version as what you are on (to check use fastboot command "fastboot getvar all" and look for mainversion in the output) eg if mainversion = 3.33.401.106 then you can only install the 3.33.401.106 or higher RUU.
Then comes your CID, if you have superCID (11111111) then you can install any RUU, however if you are a tmobile user or vodafone, you will most likely have a different CID (to check use fastboot command "fastboot oem getvar cid"). so if you are tmous CID then you can only flash T-Mobile RUU's but most Sensation XE's sold come with CID HTC__001 which means any RUU version (depending on the above 2 points)

It was like, this update cannot be installed on your phone. My phone was not connected in bootloader mod when I tried, also I have installed Elegancia Sense 4.0 rom on my phone.
BUT AS OF now, I have installed your DarkForest rom and it's working fine. SO I would like to explore the same.
In future if I want to get back to stock rom, then I will get guidance from you.

Second, are you s-on still?

Try to enable 4ext Smart Flash.
If it won't work flash latest firmware package and check if you are S-On or S-Off.

[Q] Phone stuck in a boot loop, plus other problems

My phone, HTC Sensation XE, is S-ON, on default ROM, and has HBOOT 1.29.000. Needless to say, my phone is not rooted.
The phone is on a boot loop ever since I last took off the battery and placed it back. I sometimes get a message that my Android system is getting upgraded, terminating with an error "System UI has stopped working" before the phone restarts itself again.
I don't know if this is a hardware issue or software.
How do I get my phone to a normal state? I don't mind rooting the phone if I need to for the purpose of installing default/custom ROM. But I don't know if this would be possible because I only have access to boot screen at present.
Please suggest me suitable solutions. Thank you

How do I proceed further with this zip file, since I don't have an executable RUU file?

When I try and do SOFF using KGS utility, it restarts my phone because my phone is not HTC dev unlocked. (My phone's motherboard was replaced some time ago, and so I cannot unlock my phone.)
ganeshp's one click root requires SOFF. I can't SOFF using his technique because temp_root.bat doesn't work in bootloader screen.
I am in trouble, and don't look like getting out of it

@ganeshp's one click root doesn't require htc dev unlock (meaning no prequisite permanent root; the guide has steps for temproot).
You just need one boot.
Do this: get the boot.img of your current (stock rom) and type fastboot boot boot.img.

I know its a long shot, but you should try doing a factory-reset from the bootloader, just in case it works.
Otherwise run an RUU from the bootloader.
firstly Itsakash he can't S-OFF because the device must be booted to the OS
secondly Far_SighT the command is fastboot flash boot boot.img
thirdly as raz0rf1sh suggested factory reset is a good idea and
fourthly jiteshgawali can you post your bootloader details?
It really is great to see your input guys.
@Far_SighT: I have tried doing the temp_root method, but it doesn't work for me. I could successfully run temp_root.bat just once (luckily, even in boot loop), but next when I tried doing the Juopunutbear SOFF it missed detecting my phone (again, because of the bootloop)
I don''t know where I can get a boot.img file from; for what it's worth, I could only get an OTA zip file for my region/CID from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1764025
@raz0rf1sh: I have done factory reset several times from bootloader, doesn't help friend. I don't have an RUU for my region/CID, all I have is an OTA zip file for my phone from the link I have specified right above this. Can't seem to get an RUU for firmware base 3.33, and CID HTC__038.

For stock rom go http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1923629.
Get the rom and extract boot.img.
Then use the earlier command I posted.
Yes I haven't seen Indian version ruu until now ..so ruu is out of question AFAIK
Now the factory reset over boot loader should help if you have software problems but as per your replies it didn't work it seems
Tried HTC Dev unlock ? Even if the motherboard is replaced its worth a try
If htcdev unlock failed
Then try to go to recovery first ..from boot loader and if you went to recovery properly let me know
The other solution I propose is try to do change the cid ..even on locked bootloader sometimes it works
Try these commands one by one
fastboot oem writecid HTC__001
Then
fastboot reboot-bootloader
Then check cid using this command
fastboot getvar cid
If cid changed that's a good sign

I said fastboot boot boot.im instead of fastboot flash boot booti.img as the previous one boots the rom with with the new image but doesn't attempt to write that to the boot partition. Hence it might get him a much needed boot to s-off.

Try these commands one by one
fastboot oem writecid HTC__001
Then
fastboot reboot-bootloader
Then check cid using this command
fastboot getvar cid
If cid changed that's a good sign

Thanks for responding Ganesh. HTC Dev Unlock never worked for me post change of motherboard, but thanks for the suggestion.
I am able to browse the recovery option from bootloader properly.
And it gives me a little satisfaction to let you know that I was able to change the CID to HTC__001 following your steps. Can you suggest what I should be doing next?

[Q] How to choose RUU?

Hi guys!
I have some problem with HTC Sensation. It boots only till HTC logo. And nothing more! On this device isn't OS.
Some guys said that I need to install RUU exe file through computer. I did it but received error 130 (need other version of RUU, I think).
So can you recommend something?
S-ON, hboot 1.18.000, radio 10.14.9035.02_02
Thank you!

What exactly do you mean by "On this device isn't OS".Do you mean you haven't install some custom OS on your device or it has no OS at all.If you have erase the OS the bootloop is something natural.
I did a google search for your radio version and according to this I found answers only on some german forums. So your cid (as long as you are s-on) should be possibly a German or a European one.
You can download the latest Europe version from here and give it a try.
You can find your cid number using fastboot.Just get into fastboot mode of your hboot and give the command fastboot getvar cid.
If your bootloader is HTCDEV unlocked give the commands:
Code:
fastboot oem lock
fastboot reboot-bootloader
After that your hboot should say Relocked instead of Unlocked. Then install the RUU.
You could also give it S-OFF using this guide (Does not require HTCDEV unlock method):
[GUIDE] Juopunutbear S-OFF NO HTCDEV UNLOCK | ROOT (1.2x HBOOTS)
If you are S-ON you can use a RUU only with hboot 1.18 in your case
Read this topic to know all about RUU

Why exactly he should use an RUU with hboot 1.18?!
I know that the version of hboot can be upgraded normally but cannot be downgraded as long as you are S-ON.If you are S-OFF you can downgrade everything. Also if you want to install an older RUU and you are S-ON you have to use a gold card and you patch the version of the misc partition to an equal or lower one for the RUU you are going to use.

[Tutorial] Update to hboot 2.15 via RUU

Running an RUU is only simple for those who haven't been messing with their devices, and that usually isn't us. Since I just did this, I want to write down the steps because I was not able to find easy answers.
This assumes your device is rooted with a different ROM installed. If that is not the case, then you can just download and run the RUU for your device, end of instructions.
Downloading the correct RUU
The most complete list of RUUs for Ville is found on androidruu.com
T-Mobile: http://www.androidruu.com/getdownlo..._10.30.50.08L_release_309489_signed_ICS_2.exe
HTC Europe: http://www.androidruu.com/getdownlo...28_10.27.50.08L_release_301814_signed_2_4.exe
There are RUU updates listed for other service providers, but I can't tell if they are JellyBean hboot 2.15 or not. If someone knows, I'll update this post.
Preparing your device
Make your device s-off if it isn't already. Why?
You will not have to relock the bootloader to perform the RUU update.
You will not have to flash the boot image separately.
If for some reason you can't or won't go s-off, you can still do this, but will have many more steps to follow.
Instructions to make your device s-off are here for firmwares below 3.14: Facepalm S-Off for HTC Devices One S, One XL, Droid DNA
Or you can use the HTC All-In-One Toolkit which helps you through the process.
Use the HTC All-In-One Toolkit (link above) to change the CID to match the RUU.
You needed Super CID to gain s-off, but it won't help you install RUUs. Even if you are Super CID (11111111), you must change your CID to match the RUU you are installing (mine is TMobile: T-MOB010). I know, kinda defeats the purpose of being Super CID, but the RUU won't succeed otherwise. If you are s-off, it is a one click operation using the All-In-One Toolkit.
Backup your device
Use Titanium backup to backup all your user apps so you can restore them afterwards. (No, don't restore system apps please!)
Also back up your ROM by booting into recovery mode and selecting Backup.
If you are only updating the hboot but keeping the same ROM, you can just restore the backup afterwards. Not sure why anyone would need to update the hboot without installing a new ROM, but then you also have a backup in case things go wrong.
Run the RUU
If you are s-on you will have to relock the bootloader by rebooting into the fastboot mode, connecting your device to the computer and running the command "fastboot oem lock". You will also have to follow the process again to unlock your bootloader after doing the update. Tutorials for that are found elsewhere.
1. Leave bootloader unlocked, and leave s-off as is. No need to go back to s-on or relock bootloader.
2. Run the RUU and wait while it updates the phone (Incidentally, it didn't even wipe my sd partition data!)
3. While you are still in bootloader mode (before booting up), use the All-In-One tool to install the TWRP S4 recovery. Or, if you don't want to use the tool, you'll have to download a recovery and use "fastboot flash recovery" followed by the name of the recovery img file.
4. Reboot bootloader and enter recovery mode
5. Restore from backup or Mount USB from TWRP and copy over the ROM and gapps package, flash, wipe cache, and you are up and running.
If you are s-on you will need to extract the boot.img from the zip you are flashing and flash that image separately with "fastboot flash boot boot.img"
Note that device still has the unlocked bootloader and is still s-off! :victory:
My device before: hboot 1.09, unlocked bootloader, Super CID, s-off (In layman's terms, this is a device with an unlocked bootloader so it can accept other ROMs, set to accept any service provider's RUU update via SuperCID, and has had write permission to the boot sector removed via s-off).
My device after: hboot 2.15, unlocked bootloader, T-MOB010 CID, s-off
If possible, I will answer your comments or questions by updating this post and I'll refer you back to here.

You have to change your CID back to the one for your RUU.
Can I use this tutorial to rollback to 2.15 or whatever works for ViperS rom with sense 4 after I flashed MaximusHD and firmware?
Now my phone is like this:
Hboot 2.16
Radio 1.20.50 (worst radio ever)
S-OFF
CID 11111111
The rom's with sense 5 (I tried just maximus because the others are not compatible with the new firmware, the sdcard mount point for multi user) are killing my battery more than twice faster compared with ViperS. 2h Display vs 5h on Viper.
Thank you!
Can we use this as rollback from h-boot 2.16 ?

Upgrading your hboot is a one way street, as far as I know. Can't you change the radio to something else?
I flashed Viper ROM. All the things are ok, gsm, wifi, etc just I can't see the internal memory like I should. I can browse to it file es file explorer but I need a method to default mount the new (4.2.2) location of it. Where is mounted by the internal memory in 4.1 JB? I discovered a file vold.fstab. Maybe I can change something like that somewhere to be able to use 4.1 ROM's again.
Sorry for OFF topic.
Somebody asked it but i want a clear awnser.
Can i use it to roll back to 2.15 from 2.16?

Hey I used your instructions and everything was perfect thank you. I used to upgarde and downgrade hboot even to restore the HTC one S
I got the RUU "Error: 159" again with both RUU from first post and testet with each common cid, but at the end I only got success with super cid and the TMO_US Ruu.
Now I am back on Hboot 2.15 and can flash again the newest custom-recovery, thank you very much.
I've heard about a flashabe standalone zip for the hboot 2.15 and found this:
Only for S4!
Boot into bootloader and enable fastboot.
Code:
fastboot oem rebootRUU
Wait for the black screen with white HTC symbol. (Like when you flash a RUU)
then enter:
Code:
fastboot flash zip modded_hboot_YOUR_NEEDED_HBOOT.zip
then if you want
Code:
fastboot oem boot
(Boot into your current ROM)
modded_ = The red text is removed and "tampered" is gone in bootloader.
