FLASHED ELEMENTAX X KERNAL 5
AFTER DOING THIS MY IMEI CHANGED COMPLETELY AND NOW PHONE MODEL SHOWS ITS D820 BELONGING TO SPRINT NET..

1. IS IT LOGICAL THAT IMEI WILL COMPLETE CHANGE COMPLETELY ON FLASHING A CUSTOM ROM AND KERNEL
2. DOES CHANGE IN IMEI COMPLETELY CHANGE THE PHONE MODEL AND ITS LTE RADIO
3. IF ABOVE THINGS IS POSSIBLE HELP ME TO FIX IT AND RECOVER MY PHONE BACK.
UNROOTING OR FLASHING STOCK OR FORMATTING DIDNT DO ANY HELP.

IMEI does not change by flashing a rom. Your imei number either goes to "0" or stays the same, but never change.
Model does not change by flashing a rom.
LTE settings does not change by flashing a rom.
Where do you see your model changed?
Where do you see your imei changed?
Where do you see the phone is belongs to Sprint net?

It is still unbelivable that flashing a rom magically change the imei to a D820 model's imei and a sprint cdma account get injected to the efs.
Just think about what are the odds that it could happen?
Your phone is a second-handed phone. The motherboard got replaced with a D820 motherboard.

It was a D820 actually with the D821 patch . You can find it on xda.
Check the phone before you buy it.:good:

[Q] cell network loss

Hello!
I have a very strange problem with my Nexus S 9023.
At some moment phone have lost cell network totally. Rebooting device did not help. I tried to reinstall ROM and to change it (same with KRENEL and RADIO).
Sim is ok. No sim works on my phone.
Specs:
Rom - 2.3.4. SuperAOSP ST 8.6
Kernel - Matrix cfs v 6.5
Radio - D1
UPD:
-netmonitor app does not find any signal
-system says "radio version unknown"
-phone was not damaged
-*#*#4634#*#* shows "disconnest GSM: State: DCInActiveState Disconnected with last try at 2:29 fail because No Error". Preferred network type in this window can not be changes from "unknown"
-IMEI is "-"
If anyone have some ideas please help me
Have you flashed a new radio recently? If you have you need to restore the EFS folder using root explorer and reboot. It sounds like you have corrupted the EFS folder somehow if your imei number is not showing.
I found this folder. How should I restore it?

Put the stock ROM on your phone, lock the bootloader and ship it to a samsung repair center.

I'm sorry, but I can't believe that second Nexus device is so easy to break/brick! On Passion things were much simpler/harder to break...
Just sharing my thoughts. This stuff with /efs is just unbelievable... What were they thinking?? Befeore Crespo I didn't even know that IMEI can be wiped off of device
Sorry for all of you guys having hard time with this flaw
WOW!
my colleague from service center reports that they have repaired my phone. But it took one week. And samsung techniсians could not propose any solution immediately. They needed some tine to think.
So now i think how to do a full dackup of my phone before next try to receive root and flash it with AOSP

Great! Where do you live? I have problem with my IMEI, but for now, my Nexus is working fine.
One more question? You didn't have any IMEI number??
I live in Moscow.
Right now my IMEI is 004999010640000 and also some IMEI SV 01

Null imei can't connect to network need secret code!

I tried installing stock ROM and factory reset and still nothing works. I found that I could install xposed & there's an imei mod & it let me change it to the correct one but if I go into to service mode it still shows imei as status NG. I need to find the secret code that will get me into the main service mode menu. I think it's titled Service System Settings #1. Does anyone know the code for the Note 5? Thanks in advance for your help!!!
Not sure they have one. If imei folder is empty then I think it time for new phone.

No Service & stuck on USA Band only

Hi folks
My Nexus 5 - unlocked with factory 6.01 MMB29V - has no signal "No Service" displayed. I think it is because I messed up when entering the Phone Info menu (*#*#4636#*#*) and selecting "USA Band" which is now the only option available. I'm on Virgin UK but get the same issue using an 02 SIM card too.
Could anyone offer a solution to getting back the European Band option, if that is what is needed, please?
- many thanks.
The phone is a d820 or d821?
Hi its a D821, bought from Carphone Warehouse in the UK.
Hmm, I didn't think it was possible to enable North American bands on the d821 as the USA and Canada have the d820.
Have you tried reflashing the radio from a stock rom or an entire stock rom?
Thanks for reply.. I flashed ROM from Google's factory images (hammerhead-mmb29v-factory-62a68ee9.tgz) but the option still remains as only "USA BAND".
There seems to have been a solution using a temporary ROM for the Nexus 6P & 5X to bring back the full options:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6p/help/recovering-usa-band-to-auto-mode-4636-t3271347#
But I haven't found any solution for the 5
- regards
Maybe a solution
I got contact to bitdomo and got some infos:
!!! Both advices are from bitdomo, nothing comes from me. I deserve no "Thanks" if this works. !!!
1.) Flash Lineage OS an hammerhead. LOS had the "changing-baseband"-feature included. (Yes, feature is included, but did not work for me -> maybe got hardware-issue)
2.) Try:
"Your device probably has a hardware fault or the efs got corrupted by an imei change. The originial imei is printed on the main logic board somewhere. If that does not matches the current imei when you dial *#06# then the phone you currently have is stolen or someone tried an efs repair before. Also Linage Os do the same thing what I did for nexus 5x 6 6p and pixel. Back up your current efs Copy the backup to your pc Try this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y3lGxQkNaMg Download link in description. Everything you need to rebuild a working efs is inside the rar file. If everything stays the same then you have a hardware problem."
(Everything works, but in the end nothing changed -> I got a hardware issue)

Network not available at recently 4.4.2 flashed N8000

Hi guys. I'm posting here in a desperate attempt to solve my problem.
A year ago I purchased an used N8000 with Omega 4.1.2 ROM installed, and worked very good. But a couple of days ago, I flashed my tablet to get the 4.4.2 update, because I need some apps not compatible on old versions.
Everything is ok except for the fact that my sim card is not recognized anymore, if I select the operator manually, I get a "network not available" error.
I made a lot of research, with no results so far to fix the problem. The only thing I learned is that I think it has something to do with the baseband version. Currently I have the N8000XXUDND2 version, the IMEI is ok.
I live in Paraguay, the 3G band of my operator is on 850MHz.
If there's no solution, can I just downgrade to the omega rom by flashing as usual? Or the process is different?
Thanks in advance

Tried flashing the modem I had before, still no signal. I think I screwed my tablet.
when u flash a rom then downgrade it the phone's imei code gets changed which causes "no network" error .
I'm trying to figure out restoration process of original imei code for my device too.

I don't even know how can I check the original imei of my device, since I forgot to write it down. On phones they are usually printed behind the battery, but this doesn't have a detachable battery.
If your IMEI is wrong then restore your backed up EFS folder .

It's written at the bottom back of the tab & on the box seal as well. Or dial *#06#. I tired hard reset & stock rom still imei error
I checked and indeed there's the original imei written at the back of the tab, and it's not the same number as of dialing *#06#. Don't know how to restore though since I didn't back up any efs folder.
You can do a search on XDA there are a number of posts regarding users that failed to backup EFS and null IMEI .
I have the same error, after root, imei and baseband are gone.
don't have efs backup

cant use 3g or 4g

Hi I just got a nexus 5 as a hand down and I can't use 3g or 4g I have manually changed it to 2g with *#*#4636#*#* and it works fine on 2g. And where it says select band it's usa??? Has my phone flashed with a usa ROM and will it be fixed if a flashed a UK based ROM for it the bootloader is all ready unlocked but got no PC to fastboot or flash twrp it also says on build prop that the locale is US when I can view it in ex file explorer I'm not root on 601 stock ROM
Anyone at all
Is the phone a d820 or d821?

D821 32gb variety
Very strange because the d821 is the non-USA model and should work in the UK.
It says d821 in the ROM or in fastboot? Fastboot mode will show the actual model #.

Deffos a d821 and when you go to select band it says usa?? Do you think it's been manually flashed USA ROM via fastboot as bootloader was all ready unlocked when I got it
As you can see in screen shots it does detect my sim but not 3g or 4g signal but 2g signal works fine
I've checked antenna cables and there fine so it definitely must be a software issue
Is it running a stock ROM? Does it say d821 in fastboot?
Is the imei properly displayed? Could the imei be blacklisted or blocked by the carrier?

Yes it's on stock ROM with stock recovery it is a d821 in fastboot the IMEI is displayed in settings and haven't checked blacklist any free services but if it was blacklisted 2g would not work as I can still text ring and edge data works
Just checked the Imei and device is not blacklist
Everything certainly appears to be in order.
Does the phone work properly with a different sim? The sim works properly in another phone?

Yes tryed that I did have a galaxy S5 and it worked in that and tryed my sim in our lasses iPhone and it works fine in that
The only thing left I would try is to install older stock rom.

I would if I had a PC or a laptop but I'll get round it somehow thanks for the help
Does the screenshot mean mine is a USA variety and it won't detect the uk bands hence why It states USA bands in *#*#4636#*#*
The FCC ID indicates the phone is a d821. The FCC ID for the Canada/USA version is ZNFD820.
Well I tried to flash the factory image again and the problem is still there I have even installed twrp and pure nexus and it still doesn't pick up 3g or 4g
