Dude,
nice app I am testing now as a replacement for es explorer. Unfortunately it fc's when pushing the xda section in settings.
I have a z2 and its running Existenz premium V6.
Nice, smooth app. Pls add bottom action bar, it's very useful. Also more view options would be nice (very small list for example, to fit more files on screen).

It's a Stock ROM for the Nexus 6 and I want to include a File Manger. Yours is the best one in my Eyes... Thanks for your work!

What's wrong with you? I asked a question related to this thread about an application that this very thread is based off.

I have a dialer with a homer picture as the default, and rather than pushing my prior Phone.apk... i was wondering what program i can use to open the .apk file and replace that png file to something i prefer???? Also, once i update the .apk is there any special required repackaging required for it to work correctly?
Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to provide.
Use 7zip. After you install it just right click on .apk and choose open with 7zip. Double click on the /res/drawable-mdpi folder of the /.apk. Drag the new .png to that folder. It will overwrite the old .png. Close out the .apk and adb push back to phone.

Awesome. That worked nicely.
Thanks so much for your help!
I guess when i wanted to get rid of Homer... I really wasn't sure what would be better. The default dialer android wasn't my favorite, so i just threw this one together... Maybe after I think of something better I will change it again, but for now: I am happy with this versus Homer!!!!

I have tried several framework those worked on 2.2 but dont work for 2.3, or where can I find a guide for doing it by myself?
Yes any one can theres an easy way and hard to personlize android. hard way download adobe sdk and .netframework and edit .xml files which android uses encoded different from its microsoft cousin. but do it the easy and let someone else do it for you.
use uot online kitchen upload two small files. its safe these files dont hold any personal data. framwork.apk and uisetting.apk. these guys even sign them for you so you can flash through cwm. they can even change your startup animation from a selection of well known anims. Very straight forward youll wonder why u hadnt used it before and become addicte. great way to start cooking your own rom upload them youve just became chef with a custom rom. ps dont try and change everything with your first rom.

Hello guys!
I hope this thread would not be considered as "warez". Polaris Office is currently only distributed as a pre-loaded app, for Android devices, by different HW vendors. And there is no way, that I am aware of, to be able to buy the app if you like it or need it.
I've copied the binaries needed, from my smartphone, to test the app on my KF. And so far it is working ok. No crashes.
I am attaching the files needed to install the app, if you want to give it a try.
PS: There is an "Update" option available on the Settings menu. This is not working and will cause the app to crash. Do not use it.
Install instructions:
1- Copy the PolarisOffice.apk file to /system/app. Change the permission to rw-r--r--
2. Extract the lib.zip file. And copy the content (libpolarisoffice.so and libpolarisoffice_Clipboard.so) to /system/lib. Change the permission of both .so files to rw-r--r--

I am sorry to hear that. Just to clarify, did you followed the install procedure (copying the files to /system/app and /system/lib)?
I will try to test the app using this rom on my device.

I put the files in the appropriate folder and believe i granted them access...i was a little unclear on the RW-R-R part of your description...but the files are definitely in the right spots.

Link didn't work. Mediafire replies
" Split Archive Blocked
The file you attempted to download is an archive that is part of a set of archives. MediaFire does not support unlimited downloads of split archives and the limit for this file has been reached. MediaFire understands the need for users to transfer very large or split archives, up to 10GB per file, and we offer this service starting at $1.50 per month."
Please, update the link again

Now that I am moving to an L based Rom I would like to keep this but I can only find it in CM11s roms.
How do I extract it from those roms and use it in Lollipop?
If you root your device and navigate to /system/app/ using a file Explorer you will see a list of all apps installed on your device, find the water.apk file for the love wallpaper and move it to your user storage or a pc, now install whatever rom you want and move the file you backed up back in to the system/app/ folder.
Hope that helps.

I tried that but there is no "water.apk"
Could it be that it is contained in: "liveWallpapers.apk" ?
Maybe, I uninstall live wallpapers whenever I do a fresh install so I couldn't say for sure.
Goto settings / apps
Scroll right to "all" apps, find the live wallpaper in the list of apps. Click on it to be taken to the app info page, below the app title there should be a package name. This is what the app should be called in your /system/app/ folder.
Hope that helps.

OK on my Lollipop Rom I deleted "Livewallpapers.apk" from the /system/app/ folder
I then installed a new livewallpapers.apk (the one from CM11S) as you would any normal app (I use Airdroid)
The funny thing is that the live wallpaper I wanted IS available now but I cannot find the "livewallpaper.apk" anywhere, and it does not show up in Airdroid.
If you installed it like you would any normal app, that's means it's installed as a user app, not a system app. The app file should be located in the following folder /data/app/.

That's what I thought but it is not there!
Is there an app that can do a global search (search the whole device)?
