stuck in bootloop. - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm stuck in a boot loop after replacing my build.prop file, I replaced it with my own stock unedited one that I made a back up of with the one I edited with those RAM fixes. That did nothing and made my phone even slower so I used ES explorer and moved my stock file to the system folder and did an overwrite. Now my phone is stuck in a bootloop. I'm rooted not running a custom rom or recovery. Is there any way I can get this working without doing a factory reset? Yes I already tried wiping cache.
EDIT: DID A FACTORY RESET AND WIPED CACHE STILL STUCK IN BOOTLOOP.

always you have to do a nandroid backup for this case, but if you don't have the only way to fix this problem is flashing de stock firmware.

first you have to get out of that situation, that mean you need a stock firm. Later read tutorials to install a custom rom, because if you have problems modification build.prop installing a custom rom is more harder. Download and install the stock firmware.

Agreed. I'm still curious how I managed to put my phone into a bootloop by restoring my own build.prop file.

While using odin to flash firmware my usb connection kept cunning in and out for some reason I dont know why I even installed the updates. And it failed. Now I cant get rid of "An error has occured while updating the device software use emergency........" screen.... Now what.

Did you make sure permissions was set correctly after the replacement? ALWAYS check them after moving crucial system files. build.prop should be set at rw-r-r (0644)

I got it to work, used another USB cable and odin finished installing it after 20 tries of USB fails.

Did you try to flash just the stock recovery with oden?
The file would be n8000_stockrecovery.tar
Also did you uncheck auto restart in oden and restart with the power button?

Can anyone make this:

So I can maybe restore my Note...
It's a 16GB one...
I sadly find myself in this exact same position. My GT-N8000 was unrooted (though it had been rooted previously via framaroot) and working fine. A few days ago I tried to boot up in the morning, but the screen remained black Figuring that it just needed charging I set it to charge, then tried to start it again a few minutes later. It reached the glaxy Note 10.1 screen and never changed.
Over the last few days I have tried flashing CWM, TWRP and Strock recovery but with no joy. The tablet will boot into Doenload mode for ODIN but will never get to recovery mode.
Via ODIN, I have flashed the stock firmware, but still no change. I even tried repartitioning by flashing 4.04 Android firmware and the corresponding Pit file (found on these forums) but still no change.
Anybody have any idea what might have happened or how it might be fixed? Thanks so much if anyone can help me
bump....any suggestions would be so appreciated!
Same problem : (
I've taken my device to the maintenance center and they figured the problem out as a chip problem and the solution was to change the board with about half the device price .. Went to another maintenance center said that there is no solution else the chip
my regards
Same here
Even my note went through this problem. So, after sending it to the service center they say that the whole motherboard has to be changed.

[Q] Firmware not installing on S5570

I have flashed multiple roms on the phone, still the same error, could you please suggest further steps?
The phone had been sent to get the simlock removed, once I got back I performed a wipe to remove all personal data. since that time it's not booting at all.
I can turn into download mode and flash anything, but cannot enter to recovery, I got the notification "ramdump mode (arm9 mode)"
Thx in advance for any help.

Help! NO OS installed/Need help flashing stock ROM to soft(?)-bricked S6 SM-G290F

So yesterday i done a pretty stupid thing of restarting my phone after I hid my SU binary using hide my root. This left what i think was a soft-brick as it was stuck on the samsung animation. I then stupidly enough got confused with my TWRP recovery menu and ended up wiping out my OS, leaving only the TWRP recovery on the phone. I then decided to download a 6.1.1 stock rom for my SM-G920F. When i tried flashing however, somehow ODIN froze and i made another stupid mistake of restarting my phone from download mode which resulted in the phone being froze on a screen saying " an error has occurred while updating the device software use the emergency recovery function s6 " cant provide an image as this is my first post, but please google the error message if you wish to see it
So i panicked thinking my phone was dead completely and surrendered, but today i managed to hook it up to TWRP and flashed the recovery. Now when i bootup i can access download mode and it boots straight to recovery. To make matters worse I began trying to download the original rom i recieved when i got the phone, however when i try flashing i get errors such as " SW rev, Check Fail: 'x' binary 'y' device "
(x and y vary for each stock rom i tried flashing.)
I have no way of finding out my firmware, bootloader info or anything. Is there ANY fix to this? I've made a huge mess of everything and I'm now desperate. Please, any advice would be a god-send. Thank you for withstanding this crappy post, I'm kind of a noob at xda.
EDIT 1- So I managed to install a custom ROM and kernal as i could transfer files while in TWRP for some reason but a new problem has showed up. So as of right now I have a custom rom installed which works, but when reboot my phone, TWRP is automatically opened after the initial samsung logo. I usually have to reflash my custom ROM (without wiping any data besides cache and dalvik) and the ROM installer will then reboot into the ROM, however this means when my phone turns off, my recovery is booted up instead of the ROM
I'm sensing some sort of Bootloader problem?

First off i dont own an S6 (im still rocking the S4), but i have had some problems over the years but always managed to fix them in the end.
So while in Download mode are you not able to Flash Stock ROM (downloaded from samfirmware) via ODIN (following the instructions on the site)?
In TWRP are you not able to flash a custom ROM (probably with OTG cable if you dont have the ROM stored on the internal memory).
Any issues i have had i have always been able to do at least one of the above methods. If you cant do either or, im not sure what else i would try.
Thanks

If you flashed a stock firmware successfully it will not boot into twrp, flashing a stock firmware will install stock recovery, which means the stock firmware did not flash properly. Have you tried smart switch at all? Are you sure you have the correct firmware to flash through odin?

Yes I am sorry I didn't explained that. Atfer I tried to install stock ROM it got stuck, then smart switch didn't recognize the device but I manage to do the emergency recovery thing with model number and s/n but same thing it got stuck on the same installing system update screen. Download Samsung SmartSwitch and from the upper menu select Emergency Recovery Mode, put your phone in Download Mode and connect it to your computer, enter your model number and S/N when asked, and it will download and install latest firmware for your model.
Sorry, i haven't seen that you already tried that.

That means TWRP works and Fastboot/Download works. What is the actual Galaxy S6 model? Mine is G920F.
What custom ROM did you try?
What version of TWRP are you using? The wrong one can create issues.
Did you wipe the phone trough TWRP first? Twice? Including internal memory?

Galaxy S6 probably softbricked? Ran out of things to try,

I've tried everything that i could find using google. Nothing has worked so far.
My friend has a S6 that was on 5.1.1 with root. It didnt received OTA updates so he tried to flash the new Nougat rom using ODIN. Alas the phone softbricked.
I can access download mode, but doesn't matter what firmware i try ODIN always end up failing. It's either sboot.bin, cm.bin so i think it has something to do with the bootloader? I'm not sure.
Tried to use SmartSwitch too but after it downloads the firmware it gives me an error and says to enter safe mode (????) so that's not working either.
Has anyone have an ideia of what to try next?
Thanks in advance.

Download right newest firmware for your model, use SamFirm to get it. Then use Odin 3.12.7 with newest Samsung USB Drivers to full-flash stock ROM. Set also "Factory Reset" in Odin then START. If Odin shows you 'pass' then everything comes good.

Not necessary, just "Factory Reset" and that's it. I don't know why Odin shows you "pass
