I'm probably old fashioned, but there are stuff I just prefer doing from my PC, rather than from my mobile.
I read that Samsung Kies no longer works with the S6 (Replaced by Smart Switch), but i'm wondering if there's a 3rd party software that lets me control my S6 from a Desktop PC ?
The feature i'm basically looking for is Sending SMS to multiple contacts/numbers. Getting married and I'd like to check who's arriving. I think it would be a bit more comfortable managing it from a Desktop.
Maybe something like Airdroid?

Loaded it along time ago but haven't touched it in a long time.. Haven't tried it on the S6
Thanks, Airdroid looks exactly what I needed !

I was wondering if there is anything like Pocket Controller Pro from SOTI:
http://www.soti.net/PCPro/Default.aspx
The application shows and controls the device (Windows Mobile for now, don't see any port to Android) from your PC screen.
Is there another type of application like this out there that can be used in the Android world ?
Thank you in advance.
I've searched high and low and can't find anything close to that app for android. I don't think one exists yet.
yes, also mobilier is much better for windows mobile, and it's free. It's called android screen cast http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=663390
Its funny but I've been on that almost all afternoon trying to get it to work. Seems like a good program, but just can't get it to work on my rooted phone. adb has always given me problems.

Weird, worked for me out of the box. But yeah, nowhere near as good as MyMobiler for WinMo.
Try Webkey!
Hey try Webkey. It's on the market and allows you to do quite a lot of stuff including writing emails and texts, looking at your screen, export messages, call lists, contacts and more! It's really pretty good and it's free on the market!
seems like pocket controller is finally releasing tomorrow for android

Hi all,
I normally try to avoid starting threads like this but I have got absolutely nowhere with all my googling so I thought I'd ask here.
Basically, I am a mac/itunes user who used to use an ipod touch, and I'm also an avid podcast listener. This setup worked great, as the playback position always seamlessly synced between the devices. However, on my Dell Venue Pro, this doesn't happen. (I'm 99% this is not just because I use mac connector to sync, I have read elsewhere that using the zune desktop software also doesn't sync playback position.) When you listen to multiple podcasts at home and on the go every day, this can get extremely frustrating and confusing as you don't know where you are in each podcast!
Is there anything that can be done to get this working in the native app, (I have a virtual machine so I can switch to zune desktop software if necessary) or, failing that, some sort of third party app which syncs with an online service or a third party mac app, so that I can sync my playback positions between my computer and my phone? Thanks so much for any advice you might have
I currently have a Touch Pro 2 and quite frankly I think its great, I like the fact that windows mobile is somewhat of a 'native' windows. I love the fact it integrates directly with Outlook allowing me to seamlessly sync my contacts and calendar
What I don't like is the sluggish 568mhz processor. I don't like the internet response times they're bloody horrendous (I think thats a phone issue), and I absolutely HATE when it suddenly stops working in various tasks, i.e. ActiveSync no longer connecting.
So I figure its time to get something better. The question is what?
First and foremost I need something for business use more than gaming or messing around. My concern is with the Jailbreaking capability with WP7 since I havnt' looked into it much? is it just as easy and universal as android?
On the flipside, i'm concerned that Android doesn't seem to natively support syncing with Outlook? I want to literally just plug it in (or use bluetooth) and have everything updated, no third party apps that require manually transfering or setting up external internet accounts and such
Is there anything else to look out for?
Thank you
Hello to everyone,
I'm writing for a friend who has a big problem with TeamViewer:
"I'm a 19 yers old boy, who is affected by a rare degenerative genetic disease that forces me to stay 24/7 lying, and allows me to move only the index of the left hand, that I use to move the touchpad on my laptop.
Yesterday, I've updated my Android smartphone (an LG Nexus 5) to the new 5.0 version "Lollipop", but the remote control of the TeamViewer Quick Support app, which is foundamental to me for using my smartphone, does not work anymore. The app cannot connect to my phone, and it keeps the "connecting" word on the screen without any effects.
I state that the notebook software and the app, are up to date to their last stable version. In addition the laptop mounts the Windows 8.1 O.S.
I please the staff of TeamViewer, or anyone who can help me to solve this problem, to make compatible the app, or give me a solution.
I'm not able to use the smartphone without the remote control, and without smartphone i'm more disabled than i already am.
Thank you,
Mattia."

It still leaves a lot to be desired. The basic modifications work but the biggest problem is the lack of undo/redo in onenote. I sometimes use it but most of the time resort to 3rd party apps (i.e. LectureNotes). In my opinion, the tech companies are indifferent to the problem and there is still no perfect solution for a paperless life. That being said, Note pro is the closest.
I use Onenote on my Note Pro 12.2 almost every day. I take pages and pages of notes. It is not as full featured as on Windows (I sold my SP3 to get this) but it is good enough and the effortless syncing to my office/home/laptop make it incredibly useful. Without sync, I would use one of the other options.
If you can pick up the i3 SP3 for a good price, it might be a better option if all you do is take notes or want a laptop replacement. I still prefer android as a tablet os so I made the switch from the SP3.
I've sent you a PM also..
I also used to use Note 8, but was a bit small for note taking at work so have been using 12.2 size now for some time. I think just like you, I want to get away from S Note app (am stuck bad) and start using One Note. One Note actually works fine.
My question is how did you transfer all the old S Notes to One Note? Did you use any option to Auto export to PDF in one go? or any other tool... ?
Thanks for your help.
Undo and edit - AND especially a share function! These things are REALLY missing.
It barely works for me. So slow synching and last time I tried to create a new note it went off for a minute and then said it had failed.
