I have switched from Nexus 5 to S6 since n5 started to get old and on N5 i had issues with memory leak, on 5.1.1 it was fixed. I have S6 920F and its on 5.0.2 which was plaguing nexus 5 with memory leak, im wondering if theres any kind of memory leak on s6? My system takes 1.2 gb of ram atm, is that normal for 3 gb device?

Very good. Is release date for 5.1.1 scheduled for 920f?

sadly there is a memory leak and bad ram management....we hoped samsung fixed it in 5.1.1 but it seems we were wrong....

exactly, memory issue is still there..... and to change something in the build.prop you need root...

[QUOTE=Isus
I wouldn't say the memory management is "fixed" with the build.prop tweaks, but rather it's been helped. I've tried many of the suggested settings, but I'm still getting redraws and app restarts.
Only memory management problem there is, is large apps reloading and smaller apps reloading from time to time. No memory LEAK exists. Surely that would reduce the performance of the device over time and reduce free ram? Neither of which problem I have with mine.

I bought this tablet last week, but the problem is...it's very laggy when you play it for 30 minutes. so I rooted my tab and install antutu cpu master, it runs on 1200 mhz but after playing it for approximately 20 minutes, it stuck on 500 mhz. the question is, how can I fix this issue? thx before
edit : this tab runs on 500 mhz when I played games (any games)
Funny you would mention it, because for me its been a bit laggy since the firmware update I got some time ago.

I have not experienced any abnormal lag.. But just about every CPU tuner does not work correctly with this processor as I have noticed

if you wish to fix this issue then you will need to flash the xxkl7 Malaysia firmware but you will loose high speed data coverage unless you have wifi only then your fine haha its the only know release of stock firmware not to have SOD or any other meager issues... it worked for me.
if it works thanks me
for CPU issue, I think the latest tegra donate version supports our device.
other recommendations:
deodex, zipalign. remove bloat. get a startup manager. wipe caches and reboot.
I have the same lag happen to me frequently

Anyone else receive a software update for their Wifi note? Got the notify at around 2:30 am today, 42Mb download. Im on UEALH2 already. Not sure what the update is.
I cant install the update because it reboots and goes into CWM recovery where it asks to allow unsigned/unverified package, and then fails to update.

Update available 75.51 MB
I am on N8013UEALGB
I am unrooted and was able to install this 50 MB update. So far I see no changes at all. S-Note issues that appeared after last update (automatic brightness increase) still persist. I think this update is laying the groundwork for a future Jelly Bean update.
Moves firmware to UEALI3 now.
Update was 75.51mb.
Stability and performance improvements, was what the update message said... checking out now.

Changes i can find over previous version
- browser does not close when you click the x on the last tab left. It only closes via go back key.
- browser now remembers desktop mode on fresh re-start. earlier it used to revert to mobile website view.

Updated here just now. It was about 40 mb also coming from H2. Restored root with out a problem. Just make sure if you replaced anything, put it back before updating. I've had issues updating my galaxay s3 from OTA because I modified something.
Huh. Assuming the JB OTA is somewhere close at hand, I wonder why they are bothering with this small update?

My tablet sits at 100% for a minute or 2. Then it restarts and starts over again. I was rooted but other people report that they were also and had no problem. Any tips? I forgot to backup a note where i just jotted down some info i needed. Was hoping to be able to get that note off the tablet before i try and recover with ODIN. Can't believe i didn't back up the note first.
Update-installed original firmware through ODIN all my files intact and then updated no problem.
Darn, saw the update this morning and was hoping it was JB. I guess this is probably the update that they had pulled from their system earlier after fixing whatever was causing the loss of S-pen functionality that happened to some people after that update. I never got that one so it will be good to get the 64gb SD card support that came with it as well as the fix for the keyboard automatically coming up when exiting an app that was started from a folder.
weird that there are 2 different size updates. 42.07mb here and I am on LH2
Just updated ...don't seem to see any improvements. I just hope jelly bean is around the corner !

weird. I fail at 25%, no matter what. even did a Factory Reset. It tells me to try Kies. Kies says I am up to date. hehe
Guess I will figure it out at work
I updated and it appears to be the same update that was released about a month ago and then quickly pulled after problems with the S-pen were reported by some people. I believe the biggest change from that update was added functionality for formating 64gb cards on the tablet itself.

That explains the size difference. 75 for LGB. 42 for LH2.

Are we sure it fixes the gyroscope issue? I just sent mine back to samsung to get fixed.

Can anyone who updated to OE2 try using Odin3 to go back to OCF? As you know, OCF has successful Root for it that doesn't trip the Knox counter.
If OE2 doesn't get Knox-free Root later, I want to know if downgrading to OCF via Odin is an option.

Recently bought this XZ first handed but without any UBL or rooting it comes with a horrible memory leak (>95% average RAM usage and Android System (Native, Kernel, Caches) accounts for almost half of the reading)...
I am assuming that Device Encryption should be the cause for this behaviour but I just don't want to reset my data just to disable Device Encryption..
Are there any of you people also have this problem on .35 and apart from resetting my phone is there and other measures I call take to control this leak?
Thanks!
