[Q] galaxy tab plus lag - Samsung Galaxy Tab Plus

I bought this tablet last week, but the problem is...it's very laggy when you play it for 30 minutes. so I rooted my tab and install antutu cpu master, it runs on 1200 mhz but after playing it for approximately 20 minutes, it stuck on 500 mhz. the question is, how can I fix this issue? thx before
edit : this tab runs on 500 mhz when I played games (any games)

Funny you would mention it, because for me its been a bit laggy since the firmware update I got some time ago.

I have not experienced any abnormal lag.. But just about every CPU tuner does not work correctly with this processor as I have noticed

if you wish to fix this issue then you will need to flash the xxkl7 Malaysia firmware but you will loose high speed data coverage unless you have wifi only then your fine haha its the only know release of stock firmware not to have SOD or any other meager issues... it worked for me.
if it works thanks me

for CPU issue, I think the latest tegra donate version supports our device.
other recommendations:
deodex, zipalign. remove bloat. get a startup manager. wipe caches and reboot.

I have the same lag happen to me frequently

Hello
I am from turkey and there is no Turkish 2.3.6 rom. (2.3.5 Turkish) and i dont want to use it in english
Before i9001 i was using LG Optimus Black. 512 mb ram & 1 ghz processor & Android 2.2 (Sold it because LG doenst update it to 2.3)
I could download 2 HD games SD files, surfing web with Opera Mobile and messaging same time.
In Galaxy S Plus, the phone always closing apps in background, really annoying for me.
Sorry for my bad English

i don't have any problems with this rom, so maybe you should wipe data&cache.
and I also have no problem with this rom, maybe even better than KP3, somewhat finer. I have no problem with WIFI and no reboot, I always do full wipe after the new rom.
Wifi signal soo weak and droping every 30 min even after full wipe data. U guys have no problem like this???
Sent from my GT-I9001 using Tapatalk
Nope.
Wi-fi signal is as good as it was on previous roms.
I'm using wifi sleep policy "when screen turns off", so my wifi connection is dropped in sleep mode, maybe this policy is now default.

We have noticed that the 1.2 overclock is totally dependant on phone. There's no rhyme or reason to it. When we first got the ICS leak, some members were at 1.0 while others were at 1.2. I myself was at 1.2. Once again we found that there was no rhyme or reason to it, no matter how hard we looked into it. You can try a generic overclock, however your phone might not be stable at the speed and may bootloop. Be careful here!

What do you suggest? Should i try to overclock?
Or just leave it in 1.0 state? and what about the RAM? I had 1gb in GB but now it is reduced to 840 in ICS. Is there a problem?? And should i stick to ICS or flash my ROM?

Tanmoy, I believe you are Asia Retail Stock rom ICS OTA, correct? In case yes then I am unclear as to how you are on 1 cause I am on 1.2. I say this cause though Fall has clarified there is no handle on this occurrence, difference is they are moving using the ICS leak work & forward & whereas we are on stock rom OTA (I don't know know if this could be a reason though).
In is suggested to OC using the link for SvC file I am unsure how it reacts to OTA upgrade stock rom. My suggestion only would be to root using Jim's file (as I did successfully) then use a program like Set CPU, Antutu CPU etc and move up max to 1.2. because phone is stable at 1.2 confirmed. Remember only bone stock.
Though this suggestion will probably be scoffed at, at the same time get an explanation in mail from Moto India as to why other users are upgraded to 1.2 whereas you are on 1.0 & I say this only if you have not tinkered an iota with your phone. Post your final updates
Also the RAM has always been 840 mb & which is a question even I echo because as per advertised spec it is supposed to be 1 GB RAM

Anyone else got Firmware Update 10.4.4.23?

Busy with nothing I simply pressed the button to check firmware update for my TF700T. Then a notif came up telling me to install an update. After a temporary unroot I did what it said, and now I'm running Firmware 10.4.4.23-20121127, mine is WW. Root restored without any issue after rebooting.
Can't really see any changes (yet), probably have to dig deeper.

Could anyone upload the dlpkgfile for ww??

I did an Antutu benchmark, before update I was getting about 13300 or so, now I am getting 14400. I also think they have unlocked 1700 mghz for all cores except power saving obviously.
Got the update too, nothing too obvious seems to have changed.....
And I forgot to backup the dlpkgfile, sorry @geri.st

You haven't seen the performance of Cleanrom and Clemsyn kernel yet. I ran the .23 version and it's no where near the performance of the Cleanrom/clemsyn combo. I went back to stock just to see the .23 perfornace, but after one day, I'm back on Cleanrom/Clemsyn kernel.

From what I've read I truly believe in you. The problem is that I didn't use NVFlash when possible (had already updated the bootloader) and I don't want to risk unlocking and flashing ROM's for now. The tablet is not sold in my country and if I brick it I wouldn't be able to repair nor to buy a new one.
I am not a newbie on flashing ROM's in general because I still own a HD2 but I do know there are risks on the process.
Thus, I will probably wait for the 4.2 update to decide between unlocking it or not.

I hear you, you do have a point!
I agree that this update really improved the speed of my tab. Might not be clean rom fast, but it's still warrantied fast
It's a bit faster now. At this rate we'll be fully happy with the speed around April. For me it does what I want it to just fine So what if I have to wait 1 second instead of 0.5 second for an app to open? And the very, very rare (no, I don't get them a lot. once a day, at most.) ANR messages are a whole lot less irritating than the constant "Are you sure" UAC rubbish I deal with daily on W7. (technologically impaired clients. Ugh.)

I, too, am not risking unlocking. While it is for sale here quite regularly and the EU covers warranty concerns, I bought it from a store that's not known for its great customer service (Media Markt, for you dutchies&germans.) and I didn't get a chance to use NVFlash. (By the time I heard about the idea, the first update had already auto installed. ) I'm also generally rather unlucky when it comes to electronics, stuff tends to break. And I need the tablet for work, so I can't afford to have it send out for repair for weeks if I mess up.
@ShadowLea
I have exactly the same problem as you, but Media Markt isn't good for repair?
Must I unfreeze all system apps before the update?

Yes, you must unfreez all system. Any modification to properties (build.props) file also needs to roll back. The device must be in the "stock" condition or update will failed.

After upgrading to 4.1.1, My note 10.1 is very slowly. What's happen?

My Note has just been upgraded to 4.1.1 by OTA. After being eager to discover the new features, i realised that All the apps which worked well and fast before now have been slowly. The in-stock internet is not smooth in touch and flip any longer and usually being lag. Other apps take long time to start and respond.. Please tell me what happened with my note and should i do now to improve it? Or i must downgrade to the 4.0 ?
Thanks

Factory reset after backing up apps and data or take Note to a Samsung service centre .

Its was an OTA and not installed using ODIN so there was no need to wipe.
Unfortunately thats is the case with most of the OTA give it a few days things get a little better

um.... maybe you should try flashing another rom with Odin first.
there might be a system bug instead of hardware problems
i got same problem yesterday,i was on data mode with wechat and dialer running that time.
yes, my also hangs, new battery does not help, I tried about 5 ROMs with/without root 4.1.2, 4.2.2, I also tried other kernels, the undervoltage ones - it reset and hangs much more - so I assume it might be something to do with voltage on cpu on certain frequences
Same problem here. I've already taken my phone back to store for repairs twice and updated to 4.2.2, but still no change. It behaved nicely for a week since last repairs, but now it keeps restarting and powering off randomly.
