Hello
I am from turkey and there is no Turkish 2.3.6 rom. (2.3.5 Turkish) and i dont want to use it in english
Before i9001 i was using LG Optimus Black. 512 mb ram & 1 ghz processor & Android 2.2 (Sold it because LG doenst update it to 2.3)
I could download 2 HD games SD files, surfing web with Opera Mobile and messaging same time.
In Galaxy S Plus, the phone always closing apps in background, really annoying for me.
Sorry for my bad English

i don't have any problems with this rom, so maybe you should wipe data&cache.
and I also have no problem with this rom, maybe even better than KP3, somewhat finer. I have no problem with WIFI and no reboot, I always do full wipe after the new rom.
Wifi signal soo weak and droping every 30 min even after full wipe data. U guys have no problem like this???
Sent from my GT-I9001 using Tapatalk
Nope.
Wi-fi signal is as good as it was on previous roms.
I'm using wifi sleep policy "when screen turns off", so my wifi connection is dropped in sleep mode, maybe this policy is now default.

Hi All,
I'm using now latest leak - Asia Pacific. So I checked for the official update through Motorola Software update this evening, I noticesd that Operator changed from StarHub Singaphor "which I believe was due to the leak" to O2 Deutschland and a software check starts for the first time ever.
As you know last week Motorola Europe asked for 2 testers, so kindly Europe Users check more frequent using Software Update.
check the attachment.
Edit: After 30 minutes of checking for new software, it stated that there is no software update for my phone but I can restore it to the default status which I'm doing now.
Edit: ok, after 20 minutes restoring software, with several reboots & some stops in the bootloader, the phone starts again from the scratch with German language interface, lost my latest theme I was using.
lets see whats in:
- As I said, the phone starts with German (I think)
- back to the old launcher
- I noticed a new application called Xing, I never noticed that before & dont know if Silesh added that or not.
- kernal version: 2.6.32.9-gafbfc43
- Build number: SHOLS_U2_05.26.0
- Kernal & build number are the same the only change is in the Firmware configuration
- Lost root access (regain it after flashing VR.spf)
- If you remember on the screen lock, the rebons (unlock and/or sound on/off) when holding turned into red, this one don't
Edit: attached system menu
Edit: thanks to DummyPLUG - spf available in second post

as I'm following the discussions on Moto Europe - facebook, most likley this will be the final release..
Most of us agreed earlier that Moto Froyo release would not be different than Asia Pacific leak
Identical to APAC release
I tried installing a theme i created for APAC release and it went thru without any problems. So i guess no point in using this.
These Moto guys are really testing our patience. I dont know why they keep releasing test leaks if they don't have anything more to offer. 3 test releases now and not one thing different in the three.
Moto, release the final version and move forward. Atleast, users need not wait in hope.

Ask ardatdat about ardatdat kernel compatibility.
The ardatdat kernel has to be compatible with this rom, not the other way around.
You do a backup of user data. Install the rom. Restore the user data.
Anyway this rom is older then KK5. It is of interest to Europeans.

For the future it should be a problem for the ICS update?

You are welcome.
I am glad I could help.
Hello, I'm planning to move on this rom but I have some questions to all of you who have tried:
In 2.3.4 I have these bugs:
- Music player , radio FM, stops ramdomly
- Display mode it sets every time you reboot to dynamic.
-Brightness ramdom disadjustments
-Native Email APK doesn't have push notifications.
And is this rom capable to switch between 2g/3g ( some carrier roms doesn't allow)
-Autorotation with root does it work?
I guess all these questions will help a lot of people that we are still in 2.3.4 because you never know if a newer rom would have even more bugs than older ones.
And if i flash a new rom, how should I proceed to root it with the new methods? Do i lose recovery every time I flash a HOME.tar.md5 rom?
Thank you
I'm using this rom without root.
Music player is working fine and I have used radio FM only one time without problem.
I have never change Display mode from dynamic.
I do not use push notifications for email.
The rom is working fine, until now I have notice no bugs.
You can switch 2g/3g.
I have notice, only, that if you select automatic backlight, the sensor/driver of the Brightness is not so accurate and reactive but I have notice the same thing in 2.3.4.
Thanks!

It appears that if you are using a custom ROM, you need to flash a Samsung stock ROM first before flashing the ICS ROM.

I can't really comment on that as I have never flashed any CM9 builds. But it does seem like night and day coming from the stock Honeycomb experience. Much more fluid animations, better overall responsiveness, and bluetooth controllers seem to work without that laggy response, so now I can use my iControlPad for mobile gaming. Very happy with it!

Ok, I have it installed.
Download is about 500MB, and it was a little slower than I would like but I was downloading it over a 3G connection.
It went on fine with Odin 1.85, taking about 5 minutes to flash.
On reboot, it recompiles the Dalvik cache, and loads up. It lost my DPI change (no big deal) and my homescreen configuration, but all my software and other settings appear to be intact. Internal SD and microSD card are both left alone during the flash process.
Scrolling is very smooth, much smoother than in 3.2. The notification bar (bottom right of the screen) seems busier than it was before. Icons seem bigger but nicer. It feels much quicker than it used to. I found 3.2 a bit of a pig performance wise, whereas this 4.0.4 build seems much nicer.
WiFi is working perfectly with my Huawei E586 3G WiFi hotspot, but I haven't tested it with anything else. It mounts as a media device fine on Windows 7 too. I haven't checked bluetooth to see if it is working as expected.
So far so good. I've yet to put Chrome on there, but that's next on my list
If anyone else wants me to test something, let me know.
Flash successful
Worked on my US model via odin. 5-7 min for flash + first boot, everything looks good so far.
Just flashing now.
Although HC isn't that different than ICS, i've been looking forward to it.
I can use Apex Launcher on there for a start, I like the developer options, the ability to force 2D rendering in all apps for a start and limit the background processes.
Cool
Thanks
Boot loop on the samsung logo.
Anyone have any suggestions. Maybe i should revert to stock HC first?

Will i be able to Odin the UK version into a Galaxy tab p6210 that i bought in the US?
Working fine on Brazilian 6210 installed using mobile Odin (recommended, didn't need the pc for anything). I think the same number of languages are supported on this version, but the built in Swype only has the European portuguese.
Edit: with the persist root of mobile odin, i now have a rooted ics, without do anything after.
