Do you want PAC-MAN 5.1.1 Beta-2? - Sprint Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey there
I used to build a unofficial PAC-MAN 4.4.4 as my nephew has the S5 and wanted it.
I walked him through building it and he's been building for himself for a while, he is now at AIT at Ft. Leonard Wood in MO for 18 weeks.
There isn't much in the way of internet access there (so I sent him a Verizon hot-spot to use) anyway, he can't build for his S5 while there.
I'm building it for him. I just checked and see you guys don't have PAC-MAN Lollipop.
Would you like me to post it here??
Let em know, I'm happy to share.

Farewell blaze owners, its been a good ride!

I sadly am leaving the blaze community and upgrading to my sisters t989 and giving my blaze to my dad (sis got a s4, and dads phone broke last week, it will be his first smart phone). So, does anyone Know of any good T989 Roms with mhl support? I am a large fan of PA BTW so if there are mhl pa Roms, I'll be in heaven!

Sad to hear you're leaving us! I did some research for you! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2313530 Enjoy the new community and don't forget about us!
Thanks! Sorry about the late reply, been busy watching my nephew xD. Turns out, only 4.1.2 Roms on the t989 have mhl D: it's also a bit harder to keep up with stuff in their(mine too now I guess lol) forum since I have been in the blaze forum since before it existed and have read 95 percent of them. There... Oi vey. I have much to read. Also saddening, no Ubuntu touch port or multibooting. And this phone doesn't over clock as well as my blaze (18xx OC stable, minor UV for the blaze, 16xx OC on the s2, base voltage, and even that is buggy at times).

My gf and I will sadly be leaving the Blaze community and joining the LG G2 forums on Tuesday
We hit the end of our contract and lowered our bill about 40 bucks so I decided to join the jump program and get some new phones. The G2 was hard to get, you can only get it on the web atm through Tmo, the reps are still clueless. Kinda sad as the G2 only has root and not even a custom ROM yet for Tmo. I remember when the Blaze forum first started and getting excited about just a debloated stock rom and even the first kernel! Now hopefully work can start moving on the Tmo version of the G2 as people start getting them. Been a great ride everyone, way more fun than my previous MyTouch 4G group

Well we saved about 40 bucks by switching plans (we were on contract until now) then the phones were $21 a month so our bill went back up to where it was, then we added jump which increased our bill $20 but now we both have insurance. The phones were only $99 down and about $45ish for tax. GREAT deal imo. Its kinda fun to start over again but dev work is slow for the Tmo version as not many people have them yet. I have already started printing a 3D case with someone, it should be done soon. Now we just need some CWM and we are set to go

[Q] CM11 vs. 4.4.2 stock?

I just bought a Nexus 5 and I was wondering which is better: CM11 nightlies or just having rooted stock FW ..
Which one is faster? (bootup time, app launch times, smoothness)
And am I really missing any features when staying stock?
This http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=46344624
It's really up to you to decide which is better. Cm will probably have more bugs than stock but maybe they're ok for you

I prefer stock because of the difficulty of porting the Google Dialer with Caller ID by Google

I flashed just about everything and settled on stock. cm11, purity ROM, sanity, slim, you name it. Stock with xposed is great. On any custom ROM, I lost LTE and still don't know why. Gravitybox is just about the same as running a custom ROM, too.

I dont see much of a point in owning a nexus if you are just gonna throw Cyanogenmod on it.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using xda app-developers app
I would probably stick with stock if I didn't require voice+ app by cyanogenmod. Until hangouts come with full Google voice number support sticking with CM11.
CM11 really isn't that buggy with current nightly, it's incredibly stable. Also the fact that it's a continuous work in progress is plus. You never know when stock gets updates.
Other than that I would use paranoid android when that comes out or pacman.

Or like any other Android phone. Almost every major Android phone has Cyanogenmod ported to it. I don't personally understand the appeal of buying a Nexus phone to then throw on the same custom rom that you could run on literally any other Android phone. I guess if you are off contract and absolutely love Cyanogenmod for some insane reason. . . . .
As said on a non nexus the cyanogen team really shine, to be honest I'm loving cataclysm ROM at the minute. Close to stock but has just enough customisations for me

You're talking about 2-3 days here. If that worried about it, go back to stock until CM updates. That's what I did for 4.4.3. I was already in bootloader flashing the new modem, so figured I'd just flash the rest.

Some stuff for the lt02ltespr

Hi. I figured I'd start this thread here and work from it until things are farther along and more legit. I just got the Sprint Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 a few days ago and now I have CM-11.0 booting on it. NOW MUCH WORKS YES RADIOS. THERE IS NO NFC SUPPORT!!! and BT works, audio works mostly. So, consider this just a nice little preview you can flash to see Cid on your tablet. Don't post bug reports and get all crazy please. I don't post much because I don't have time to respond very often. The link I'm providing is a generic link for now, but I'll post specific links IN THE THREAD for builds with new fixes and some info about the builds. Also at that link is a CWMR image for v6.0.4.7. Everything works fine on it. I've been testing it for a couple days. So, to recap: CM/CWMR for lt02ltespr ONLY.
http://www.oudhitsquad.com/android/?dir=Samsung/lt02ltespr
You might notice a carbon directory in there. This device WILL become an official CarbonRom device ASAP, but for now that dir is empty.
PLEASE NOTE: I don't do mods/kernels etc. I don't have time. If I do release something like that it's because I'm sharing something I'm working on for personal use and might not support it properly.
It's nice to be here. I hope there are some users who will enjoy this stuff. Cheers and OUT!
UPDATE 4/8/14: Today's updates are stripped of all NFC and FM radio stuff since the device has not HW for them. Also, I've been looking into getting USB host mode working so there's been some, but not full success there. I removed geomagneticd so the Google Maps app acts more like it usually does, but I think I like the compass effect we had going. Dual band wifi is more stable and both radios show up on boot for me. I checked BT audio yesterday in my car with a third party BT audio device and it worked, so now I can really be a road hazard. Not much else is fixed.
New builds will be here:

Navigate to whatever you need.
Count me in for testing. If it had wifi I'd be happy lol, anything is better than stock but I hate touchwiz

Sweet deal. I will be watching for it. Like I said I'll do any testing you need. Maybe a little help and I could even help you out building the rom. I have some exp with rom kitchen and a little porting exp. Had a few roms myself (toro,ls970,vivow) so im glad to contribute any way I can on this project. Hopefully CM will see it and pick the device up officially.

Way to prove me wrong. Love it when that happens lol. Running it now, seems nice, few graphical issues but nothing so bad its not usable as my DD. Can't wait to see what the future holds for this ROM/Device. Though IMO anything without TouchWiz is a step in the right direction.
Thanks again, and I'll keep you informed on any issues I find and am able to replicate.
I think I swapped the adreno drivers from the s4 mini... Spread the word, its coming.
Would you mind if I made a thread in the development section with links to this thread and the ROM? Of course you'd be getting the credit and all, I just think it would get noticed more there.

Am I right in assuming this is for the sprint version of the Tab 3? I currently have the t210 device and would love to see CM on it! Very new to Samsung. Only had the device a couple of days!
Yeah it is, but after its a little more stable I might decide to start porting it out to the other Tab 3 models. This is just an alpha build still and is far from ready. But if you could find a CM for T210 I may be able to hack-port it over. It wouldn't be the most stable thing out there but it would be a start similar to this ROM

I think you're being a bit harsh to the guy tbh, he was just trying to provide a service, if he had actually mentioned @legolas93 then I bet you wouldn't have slated him?
Anyway, good work @LiquidSmokeX64 with providing your service. I'm still sticking to my own conversion (Edit: Using @legolas93 Convert to F2FS) but I still think yours is as important as anyone else's on here. However please just remember to give thanks if the work is not entirely your own. (Edit: Noted that @LiquidSmokeX64 has now edited his first post).

I believe that a simple converted CM shouldn't be an issue.

Well, yeah, it probably sounded harsher than I wanted. I'm sorry, I mean no disrespect and wish to support people who actively participate in Android development. On the other hand, I still don't think this work is original enough to justify its own thread. Anyway, mentioning @legolas93 in the OP and perhaps adding a message encouraging people to buy his app would be appropriate here.
To end this on a more friendly note, please, don't stop developing and bring us something awesome
I edited the post to encourage buying the app and am going to be intentionally late with the nightlies as well.
As far as development goes. I'd like to get into it again but I only know how to edit a few things in the build.prop, and updater script.
Besides that adding a few apps is no big deal lol.
I'd like to actually figure out the good stuff but sadly have no clue how to go about learning that stuff. I'm just a regular guy trying to do what I can for the community where I think I can be of some use.

And if @typhoonscotland would be willing.... I would greatly appreciate your knowledge on how to do the conversion myself if you would be willing to share said knowledge to help me in my quest for a better ROM for everyone

Well if I can't get a way to convert from my computer using some OS this thread may be dead before it even gets going...
Dropped my N7 off a roof... needless to say it didn't survive. But if something can get figured out I'll still build for this device even without my own lol.
OK. Back up and running. Found a tool i can use on windows to do this. Have credited accordingly, for this is almost no work on my part besides the thread.
So sweet deal. I'm open to suggestions for a better kernel if needed.
So what kernel does this new method use? I'm really curious, just can't see for myself

It may have been a bad upload. I had some issues that day it seems. But if I had more info on the error I can try to get it fixed up real quick. I'm sure it's something easy. But I am building blind (no device).
I just checked It. Yes it was a bad upload the sizes were wrong. I'm reuploading now and will verify its the right size this time
OK thanks

UNOFFICIAL nightly of CM11 3/20/2015

I was hoping for an M13 of CM11 as the 1/5/2015 nightly is not quite up to par. I'm not ready for CM12 yet, and I know there are others in my situation. I decided to take a crack at building CM myself, but that was problematic. Thanks to the generosity of timmytim, with his help I got my CM11 build working for the d850 and was able to build an unofficial nightly for 3/20. I have been running this for about a week now and it's been solid for me. So far, I haven't seen the kernel crash on wifi hotspot that the 1/5/15 nightly had. I don't expect demand to be terribly high, so I've put it on my dropbox https://www.dropbox.com/s/a7u5ry0fr400ypg/cm-11-20150320-UNOFFICIAL-d850.zip?dl=0
How could you not be ready for cm12? I know this question seems off topic but you brought it up.

well, I depend on my phone being fully functional and cm12 is still in alpha/early beta? There isn't even a stable build yet. I also depend on Xposed which is also alpha for ART.
Thank you! Downloading!

Cyber Police?. Seriously? Just because my account says I'm new doesn't mean I am. Don't jump to conclusions. You can go on about your life without posting worthless meaningless comments just to post a comment. Its pathetic actually coming from a so called "senior member". Grow up dude
P.S. nothing I said had anything to do with you so why instigate with worthless posts? A senior member should know better. But thanks for whatever your goal was here lol

How is this ROM working for folks? I had too many issues with Lollipop... especially in the phone seriously overheating.
Had to have it repaired by LG under warranty.
Would I be better just to remove the bloatware or use this ROM instead?
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

My phone gets hot on all aosp ROMs. Running a stock based lollipop and it doesn't over heat any more. How long did it take for you to get your phone back?

I sent it to the Ft. Worth service center last Monday the 18th. They received it around 11:20AM on Wednesday the 20th.
Received an email Friday evening the 22nd it was finished and had a FedEx tracking number.
This was around 6:18 PM, but FedEx won't be able to pick it up until tomorrow because of weekend and holiday. Should see it on Wednesday.
BTW, I was running CM12.1, which stock based Lollipop are you running?
Thanks!
data not work for me. any solution?
