[Completed] [Q] Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge carrier lock issue - XDA Assist

I was recently given a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge as a present and it had been bought at a discounted rate with a carrier lock, unknowingly, now the phone was bought with O2 carrier lock and i reside in India with no access to an O2 sim card or customer care and the website has been thoroughly unhelpful, is there any way to disable the carrier lock? a paid solution is acceptable

Hello, and welcome to XDA Assist! You need to get in touch with O2 somehow, so as to get an unlock code. I can't find a thread that will help you here on XDA. They are all for AT&T.
Good luck!

Galaxy S4 SGH-I337 never activated with the carrier, now out of the country

I bought a brand new AT&T Samsung Galaxy S4 SGH-I337, but I never activated it while in the US. Now I live in South America and cannot find a way to unlock it without it becoming region locked.
Is there anyway I can unlock this device now?
I appreciate all the help I can get, since I am desperate to use it and I cannot.
Thank you for your help!

Network locked galaxy s7

Hello,
I recently bought a galaxy s7 (SM-G930F). I bought it through internet shop in czech republic, however it seems that I have an Irish distribution from Three.ie operator. (It has some three.ie bloatware). Now when I inserted my czech sim into it, it asks for a pin code to unlock the phone from network, which I don't know of course(Sim network unlock pin). I called samsung support in CZ and I also contacted a seller who sold it to me. Both promised to help, but no result yet.
In the meantime I wanted to ask: 1) There are lot of services on the net, who offer those codes for some fee. How do they obtain them? Do they call to carriers?
2) Is there any root/brutforce way to unlock the phone?
3) Is there anyone up here with the same situation? How did you solve it?
Thanks,
Dmitry.
Some buy codes fr9m operators in bulk at dirt cheap rates and sell it and some use third party softwares to generate them.

Hi, i haven't been in the same situation but i remember that "PhoneBuff" and "SuperSaf TV" YouTube channels have videos on how to unlock Galaxy S7. Both recommend https://www.unlockriver.com (cost is $45).

Thanks for the reply,
however as for me any attempt to sell unlock code by 3rd party seems to be a fraud. And I don't want to deal with fraudsters unless it's inevitable. I am still waiting for samsung or my seller reply.
Thanks,
Dmitry.
I bought my phone as well on the net from Czech Republic as well, but mine was free, and live in the UK,so the seller should unlock it for you free of charge, don't see why all the fuss that seller is doing, you were supposed to buy a phone unlocked, didn't you?

SM-G930T Galaxy S7 T-Mobile SIM locked

Hi everyone and thanks for the time to read this.
So, recently I purchased a Galaxy S7 from a co-worker. After bringing it to my house I realized it was SIM locked to the T-Mobile carrier. He bought it already used and sold it to me, so I can't unlock trough the T-Mobile customer service.
After an extensive search on the web I found a few paid solutions (unlock sites, Chimera Tool, some android apps). But since I live in Brazil and not the US they end up costing three times their original value due to money conversion.
I found out that you can extract the unlock code from the phone itself through some softwares ( i.e Chimera Tool). So I ask you: there's a free way to do that? I appreciate any help, thx.
Tl;dr: Need a free way to unlock SIM without contact to carrier (T-Mobile)
HI.
I a having this same problem expect. I am however from the usa. I moved tmoblie has no service in new area. They refuse to unlock my model is sm-G930T. Please anyone with any odeals on this problem let me know...
After searching a lot I found a website that fixed the network lock for me. It was also cheaper than the competition. unblockmysamsung.com
It took only a couple days to fix and I did through Paypal so if it didn't worked I could have asked for a refund.
Unlock method
Hi, can you share how you/they unlocked your S7? I was suppose to avail or their service i dont want anyone to remotely access my computer. Did you root the phone or something? Is this something i can do for free or i really have to pay for their service? Thanks!

Greetings and welcome to assist. If your phone is sim locked to a carrier then you will need to purchase the sim unlock code from the original carrier or a third party unlocker

Samsung s7 unlock

Hello everyone
I bought a Samsung s7 g930 from eBay.
It's locked on t_mobile USA.
I'm currently outside USA.
I tried to contact t_mobile but I couldn't because don't have a t_mobile account.
I think it's also blocked or blacklisted!
Does anyone know how can I unlock it?
I run Permanentunlock:
Unlock Failed: This mobile phone is not eligible for unlock.
