Hello guys,
I am in dire need of aid.
I have an one plus one (I believe it's the 16gb verison), which is stuck on the boot screen.
I want to reinstall the ROM but I cannot unlock the bootloader.
Here's where I am so far.
After trying the fastboot oem unlock command the phone restarts and sits at this screen:

Here's the Fastboot oem device-info:
I cannot flash any recovery, also I cannot boot into recovery. I cannot boot into the OS.
The phone has been dropped (4 months ago) however this happened only yesterday after a software update.
Any links to possible fixes would be very helpful, as I couldn't find anything which would help me (unlock the bootloader and flash cyanogen mod or stock rom) will be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Without the bootloader unlocking successfully you're kinda stuck. I'm gonna assume that you don't have a custom recovery installed?

Yes, That's correct. The phone has never been rooted or flashed (by me or the user). And no custom / stock recoveries are flashed.
Also I just learned that the phone has been taken to a shop for repairs and the verdict there was that it's a hardware problem (EMMC chip dislodged) caused by dropping. (which happened ~4 months ago)
Hey guys,
I have the same bootloader lock issue. I've used every method I am aware of to unlock it, but unfortunately that doesn't happen. Any help will be of a great use.
Cheers!
If anyone has any suggestions at all I'd be very thankful.
Thanks

If you're dealing with a hardware problem the only suggestion anyone could give is to fix it.
Greetings,
Not that I want to bring your hopes down, but this is a very complex issue and I believe only few very, very skilled and experienced people might know or think for a workaround and solution to the mentioned above problem. I, personally, can't think of a solution and that's because (I admit) I don't find myself to be very knowledgeable in this specific area. Anyway, what i wanted to say is that don't rely on this (or any) forum for ideas, the best way is to find the best repair shop in your area and let the guys there handle it. Because lets face it - what are the chances that someone with such high knowledge that can break the bootlock will randomly "wander" in your forum thread? Keep your head up, there's a solution out there, I'm sure of it!
Have a great day,
Steve
Nevermind, was thinking of a different thread.

yes I've tried it, but it got some problems. it's like having partial root not full root!!
I were able to get apps work such as titanium backup and I got full root on them. But on other apps such as exposed model, I were not able to get the full root access and therefore I couldn't install exposed models on my device. you can try it yourself, nothing breaks everything is working fine.

Hi,
Did you fix it?
If not try downloading the latest firmware update
on your PC to make sure its complete and try again.
The latest firmware wipes everything, so if your PC can see
Your data try adb pull .....directories..... first.
Good luck, BTW anyone managed to unlock boatloader ?
I have posted on other threads, however :
Did you fix this if so how, for other reasons I also have the same problem,
Any help on how you fixed this issue could be useful to all.
Rgds
Every time i go to update to 4.4.4 it allows me to download the software, but when it goes into recovery TWRP opens and it doesn't update.

In order to flash an ota update you have to have the stock recovery among other things. You first problem is trying to ota with TWRP.

Flash the stock recovery. If you've changed any system files, chances are that won't work either. In that case, either revert the changes you've made to whichever system files you've changed or start over and flash a RUU to get back completely to stock.
Also, if you've removed any of Verizon's bloat, it will fail. There's a lot of things like this that can make it fail. If you aren't sure what you've changed and can't put it back the way it was when stock, it's probably easiest to just RUU and get back to stock that way. You'll be starting all over again but it might be easier than trying to figure out what changes you've made that are giving you trouble.
Also, if you're running a custom rom, it will fail. You need to be stock for it to work. S-Off isn't a problem and I don't believe being rooted is either. But the OS itself pretty much needs to be stock.
Trust me when I say that I'm trying to be helpful. You need to do some reading.
You could flash a copy of the stock recovery the same way you flashed twrp and if you didn't modify you system files much/any then you may be able to take the ota after that. Another option would be to run the ruu that doddat posted in his very useful thread. Alternatively, you could just flash 4.4.4 firmware and a sense based rom.
Back to my first point. You are bordering on messing with some things that could seriously cripple your expensive phone and your questions imply that you don't quite know what you're doing. I would recommend you read read read. Read all the stickies in each of the Verizon m8 subforums. Read up on fastboot and adb. You should fully understand the command "fastboot flash <partition> <filename>". It's concerning to not know how to get rid of twrp when you or (worse yet) someone else have already flashed it once.
There are very smart and very helpful people here who will help you if you get into trouble but the responsibility is yours till try and avoid those situations by educating yourself first. Best of luck and happy flashing.

I figured it out i just re-flashed stock recovery, updated then re-flashed TWRP and installed Viperone rom
This is the first phone I've purchased without it's own seperate section on XDA. As I'm no developer, I've always simply jumped on XDA, found the appropriate root/custom boot recovery/ROM development threads, but it doesn't seem like there's any info our there for this phone. Google searches only returned spam/malware/fake root methods.
I understand not being a developer, I have no right to expect others to create roms/develop anything for this phone.... but is there a general way to at least attain root access for Android phones?
Thanks for any help you guys can offer
I'm also looking for a way to root my g388f. Also find only a lot of junk when I google for this.
Yesterday I came across this info, annyone who can verrify if this works or not?

its just a spammy link to a packed SU archive, not the promised files needed for cf autoroot
most probably chainfire method will work, i already asked for it

for me the same, i Need the root for changing the non working sap Profile ....
sap Profile out of the box was the Point why i purchased the phone ...
I already spoke to the Samsung Support, they tell ist the fault of vw ...
but it testet the sap with another android phone (S2) works fine out of the box
Even I am looking for root method for XCover 3. towelroot, Kingo IRoot are not working
Even with a large amount of requests in the cfroot thread, it seems that no one is interested in making any form of auto root for this phone.
Anyone know of a universal, manual method that can root our phones?
I am also looking for root access, or lolipop, I need to write to my SDcard..
Any news? I am trying to root my phone but after extensive googling I can't find it. I tried "everything" but it does not work.
Working root
Hi
I used this guide and it worked for me. Used the Odin method.
The guide for Odin is not that accurate, amoungst other things it tells you to use the "AP" to load the image you downloaded. In my Odin i used the "PDA". Also the setup guide for disabling "Re-partition" and "PIT table" is not correct.
But if you are used to using Odin, you will figure it out. Anyway, it worked for me.
Follow the link at the bottom and download the Super SU, before rooting. This saves you a reboot.

Not working with Lollipop?
Hi guys,
I successfully used the method above to root the phone when it was on Android 4.4.
Now I updated to 5.1.1 and the method doesn't seem to be working anymore.
After I flash TWRP with Odin and (immediatly) try to boot into recovery I get the message: "recovery is not seandroid enforcing", and nothing else happens.
Any ideas? I didn't find anything with google or here on xda and there doesn't seem to be any newer version of TWRP than 2.8.7.0-xcover3ltexx.img.
I'd be grateful for any help!
So if I'll update to lp I'll loose rooting & twrp.. Bad indeed... I'm very tempted to buy this phone after my xcover 2 breaks down but with zero roms I think I'll wait some other time... Thanks for any info!
Sent from my GT-I8190 using XDA Free mobile app
Hi, I have huge problem with my xcover3, I tried to flash a rom from sammobile, but it was wrong region I suppose, and the odin procedure failed and ended up messing with the bootloader, the device doesn't start at all, no logo no recovery, no download mode, nothing, it only just vibrates when I press any key combination, which means it's not completely dead.
What should I do? I think the only way to fix this is to boot somehow from microSD card, is there any way to do that, or anything else I can do, I even tried the usb jig and same result.

Locked peloader for one, no flashing via SPFT. I heard someone say to get to stock recovery you need to use the button combination same as Samsung phones. Volume up + home button + power. Try this and let me know if it works.
To unlock bootloader, use fastboot to do so. Do some research before unlocking. I made a custom recovery for this device but I couldn't test it.

Care to share said custom recovery? might help get it tested if people could get hands on it.
would also help if you shared what tools would be needed to flash it, and what tools are needed to back up beforehand,
possibly even a small step by step guide like you did for the other alcatel phones?

Hi AdamOutler,
Beginners Clarification: your post 15th October 2016, 05:51 AM |#6 "Lol! Flash with Odin on Windows, Linux and Mac. Use JOdin3," Googled and found your "[Release] JOdin3 CASUAL Cross Platform and Web-Based Flashing For Samsung Phones" http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2598203
Does this mean you were able to root the Alcatel OneTouch A462C using JOdin3? (Also please do no Flame as had wanted to ask this by PM but was unable)

I know this is a pretty big bump but I to need help with this phone any updates?
This Phone is a Qualcom Technologies, Inc "Proccessor MSM8609" Model TCL A462C Acatel Onetouch runing Android version 4.4.4 and Yes I have tried King root It reports Rooted but only temporarly and I cant even remove system apps with the temp root and yes I have tried third party apps for this process they claim root granted and even claimed they removed said apps but as soon as reboot root is gone and the apps are back please help.
Further more I havent been able to find a reliable way to transfer my root over to super su eaither
By the way I can go into factory recovery but cannot go into fastboot or download mode the only other mod I can go into is Safemode.
Also It Takes A while of running with the temp root but eventually although it takes a while kingroot will also eventually tell me that this phone restricts root authorization and by the time this happens Apps also start reporting that the su binary is not installed with the exception of super su which tells me su binary ocuipied This happens later after those same apps previously told me root granted. And yes I have checked and made sure there is not kingroot imposed restrictions. I dont know why this happens.
Update:
My phone was not recognized by the computer since the usb flex was broken, the data lines did not work, but the charging lines did.

I'm no pros, but as far as I know, your phone can still access TWRP and can still read sd card. Why don't you try flashing a rom by sd card?
Much simple and dangerous:
adb reboot bootloader
"unlock bootloader"
fastboot erase abl
fastboot -w
fastboot reboot

Not really, I can't access twrp, because I inadvertently wiped the internal storage, next to that was twrp, so I don't have a custom recovery, not even the stock one.

I think that is one of the only solutions I have, since my computer does not recognize my phone, and I also have no way to enter a custom recovery.
I investigated some of the test point, but I don't know if my device supports it and if there is someone in my city who wants or has the tools to do it, I was directly thinking of changing the mother for a broken screen phone, but there isn't even that. .
In this post I talk about that, but do not clarify any doubts
