Much Love to my Skyrocket Brothas and Sistas.
Here is a Flashable zip of the stock UCLE2 leak for your device. Not a system dump, but the pure files from the zip taken from the Odin package.
Will not break root, but you need to flash superuser.
Also, this does not destroy cwm.
Use it to your heart's content.

I am wondering this as well.
Is this rooted or just stock??
Sent from my I727 using xda premium
It's not rooted. It works with Rogers. Doesn't seem to update the modem file.
I'm having trouble rooting it now. Keep getting stuck on step 5 with SuperOneClick. Gonna try some other methods.

I heard that the Odin was successfully rooted by flashing superuser in cwm

Yup. I just flashed CWM with odin and then installed superuser through CWM and it's rooted now.

I didn't even try to boot into CWM. My understanding is that the ZIP file contained the files extracted from the oneclick. The oneclick installed a new bootloader which would have wiped out recovery, so I just installed CWM with odin based on the assumption it wasn't there.

I am using it now, I get unknown baseband though.
I decided to flash cyanogen mod. I downloaded a stable release from rom manager onto my sd card, booted into recovery and now I am stuck on the M. And of course you can't get to cwm to restore a backup unless the devise boots, I tried pulling the battery to see if it would boot into cwm like it was supposed to but it doesnt. So looks like I need to flash and I have no idea how to do that on this phone. So if someone could link me the files and give me some basic instructions to follow that would be awsome.
Thanks

Finally back up and running it took me some time since wifi didnt work on .608, so I followed this procedure. http://rootzwiki.com/topic/23207-how-to-sbf-unbricking-root-d2g-629/
It works good for unbricking, a little complicated if you dont have a data connection like me and wifi doesnt work on the flash, so I skipped ota and lost root but oh well. I can root again tomorrow. So does anyone know what could have possibly happened when I flashed cyanogen mod through cwm because thats what caused my brick.
which cm7? official is still flashed on froyo 2.2
have to use unofficial, try rootzwiki

Did you follow my d2 bootstrap instructions?
[HOW TO] Install/Use Droid 2 Bootstrap
unless you know the build history, roms from rom manager, should not be used on D2G
[DEV_THREAD]Droid 2 Global CM7 with Gingerbread Leak Kernel
lastest looks like Pooka-CM4D2G-GB-20120519
I did follow the droid bootstrap instructions I just figured I could flash anything for the droid 2 honestly I didn't know that the global and regular droid 2 were that different guess I learned that the hard way but at least I know now and I learned how to root and sbf all in one night.

I used the link you provided me with and the one you said was the latest
so you didn't flash gapps?
I don't see a gapps link, in this thread
which is fine, but if you flash wrong one, you may bootloop
cm roms do not come with google apps like play, gmail....
how long did you let it run, sometimes it can take a couple of mins, to boot first time
you may need to also wipe dalvik cache in advanced, that was recommended many time for D2G roms, but will add time to first boot

I did not flash gaaps but I did wipe the dalvic cache and let it run for a good 5 mins and it just kept restarting with the boot animation.

If there is some kind of chat or something or exact steps i could have to flash this and get it to boot that would be great. I know on my samsung continuum we use the irc to chat.
could be bad download, download again and compare md5 checksums
.
or try a different rom
general steps are posted with my bootstrap instructions

Honestly is Cm even good on the droid 2? Because at this pint with all these failed flashes and the phone not being able to get into cwm like a regular phone it makes it harder to get back because you can't just restore a nandroid back up. So in your opinion is it honestly worth it, or are there better roms out there for this phone?
whether or not it's worth it, is up to you
not a lot of choices for D2G, I liked CM9 and miui
check out the threads over @ rootzwiki

Out of all the flashes I have tried it boot loops and its annoying to have to go and flash in RSD because I cant boot into recovery like I can on a normal phone where the recovery is overwritten. So with all these bad flashes I have kind of given up on this droid 2 and its just on stock rooted. Usually when I boot loop on my continuum i just jump into recovery and re flash with this phone I cant.
why are you using rsd lite? how are you rooting?
just use D2G_4.5.629_SBF-and-RootCD.iso

Did you flash recovery in JB? I have your problem right now, and I have reflashed stock JB, updated to KK, re-rooted, installed CWM and... bootloops again . Can it be the problem? Should I flash recovery in JB directly? And which recovery should I flash in stock JB, CWM for 4.3 bootloader? Thanks in advance
Im having the same problem, after I installed GPe. Gonna try going back to JB.

I don't have an idea what is exactly the problem. Regardless if I'm on JB or KK, I always flash recovery using the moto tool application. In order to install any aosp rom, I must to be in JB stock.
