[Q] Samsung Galaxy S2 - Downgrading

Hi
I wanted to downgrade my galaxy s2 it's currently on XWK14. I want to downgrade to the older XWKE1, only using official firmware.
I got the XWKE1 firmware off sam mobile and extracted the file but ended up with another Rar Archive once I extracted the original one which contained some crap I can't use and no Tar file, I used WinRar extracter.
So I then used frog extracter which did the exact same thing as WinRar so I then used 7win and selected Tar file all it did was label the archive into a Tar Archive and when extracted give the same files as WinRar and Frog which i've listed here:
boot.bin
cache.img
factoryfs.img
hidden.img
modem.bin
param.lfs
sbl.bin
zImage
Am using odin 1.85 (can be used to flash S2 I checked) to flash the phone but without a Tar file I can't do anything if anyone can help i'll really appreciatwe it .
That couldnt be! Try to download it again or youse another firmware package from another website or another firmware!
Normally when you extract the file there must be a .md5 file.
You should have a file that ends .tar.md5 this is the file that you flash as the pda using odin. Thats it

Which file?
There are too many files on those links and im sure most of them will be 1 single file (md5 or tar)
But what I need is the complete 3 or 4 files with PIT.
Do you know which ?
Sammobile.com have a look also look at the PIT file post here some place .
Your post should be in Q&A its not development .

Click to collapse
You can use Heimdall to extract your PIT, just put your device in download mode and go to utilities -> detect; then press download.
For the files, just extract your .zip file, rename the .tar.md5 as .tar, and if you have 7z installed you can extract this file.
You'll find the files you need.

[Completed] Does Samsung odin support .zip extension files?

Please let me know, Does Samsung odin support .zip extension files?
Thank you for using XDA Assist. No it does not. But if you're downloading a stock firmware you do download a zip file. Use 7-zip or winrar to extract it. You want to end up with a .tar.md5 file. If you could provide us with your device and specific issue you are having we could point you in the right direction.
