Auto data connectivity on/off on email synchronisation

I was using a Nokia N8 device before I got this Samsung Galaxy SI9003 device. One thing I noticed on the galaxy is that packet data icon is always on on the top bar. The nokia N8 would connect and disconnect automatically when checking for emails in a schedule. Is this feature available on the android 2.2.3 platform?
Try Juice Defender.
Hi upichie, thanks for referring to juice defender. I installed it and will play around with it for a few days. Earlier I tried automate it. I did not like that. Thank you once again.

... what?
Looks like spam to me. I think we can ignore Mostafa's message. Hey upichie, I was planning on going for the galaxy note. What do you think about that device?

It looks awesome, but it's too big for me personally.
Hey upichie. I finally got the Ginger Bread upgrade to my Galaxy SL GT-I9003. Still exploring the new firmware. Do you know what the major differences between Froyo and Gingerbread are? Thanks.
Google, my friend. Shouldn't be hard to find.
Thanks, yes, I did notice some differences on Google. Thanks for all the help.

Hello
I need help about my gear fit data sync with my nexus4 and nexus5.
I read here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2718949 that syncing fitness stats won't work with a non-samsung device.
Anyone have a solution about that?
I want my gear fit data with my nexus.
Plz help me
Don't think it's possible as it relies on Samsung's framework or something.

Samsung has incorporated features in its framework along with a system file so hopefully it won't work.
Have you tried Google http://mobile.pcadvisor.co.uk/how-t...use-samsung-gear-fit-with-non-samsung-device/

I need a real help from the experts in here please

Hello Guys,
I have a rooted Samsung Galaxy grand prime (SM-G530H) and I bought Samsung Galaxy Gear S2 classic smart watch. I tried to download the Samsung Gear from the internet. I can pair the watch with my phone through Bluetooth well, but when I use Samsung Gear application to connect to my S2 watch, a message appears "Gear Not found".
please, try to help me to connect my phone with the watch, since I can't buy another phone nowadays, since I'm really broke. I just wanted to try out that watch and paid all what i had to get it.
Thanks in advance
Peter
Are you just rooted our have you installed a custom Rom? Also have you disabled any apps/services?

Hello Tapatalk,
Well, my phone was rooted long time ago. I know now that Samsung Gear S2 is only compatible with Android phones with RAM bigger than 1.5 GB, but I'm sure there is a solution so that my phone can be connected to the my gear watch, since it's just useless now!
Kind Regards,

Try to pair the phone to the watch using the Samsung Gear app first, do not pair the watch to the phone under Bluetooth connections.
Also, there are files that many people remove when they are trying to lighten up roms. Your best bet is to backup your current Rom and flash a pure stock Rom. If you can't get things connected that way, you know it's a device compatibility issue

Hey guys I know it's unrelated but do you think there's an app that can emulate hard keys ie. Volume/Home, so I could like use it for the camera or some kind of camera app.
There're paid apps for it. But I have a non-samsung phone, I can't purchase any.

You may be able to do that with Task2 on the S2 and Tasker running on your phone. I use Task2 to set my phone on vibrate and to do some other things with it.

Thanks a lot sir. It helped a lot. Is there a thread for this? I mean more tips and tricks for tasker

Samsung galaxy apps now working.

I have an S3 and have been waiting for this app to get an update so I can use facer. I had previously received an error that the ph1 isn't compatible, but this morning I tried again and it works! I've been very impressed with how fast apps have been getting updates to work with this phone.
So for anyone using an S2 or S3 or just want the app, it now seems to be working.
Screenshot of current version. Forgot to attach it and couldn't figure out how to edit original on my phone.

I run it through the Samsung gear app. It use to say incompatible but now works fine. It's not in my app drawer, however, and samsung pay doesn't work yet on the ph1 to my knowledge yet.
Samsung health and SMS reply from watch work alright?
It is working also with the gear fit 2
Gear s3 notifications and Samsung pay were broken with essential with latest update. Had to sideload a couple gear apps to my phone, but everything works now! More discussion and links here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/essential-phone/help/gear-s3-compatibility-t3699012

How are you using samsung pay? With the essential or directly with the s3?

Directly with the S3. You need special radios for it to work without nfc that the essential doesn't have.
Thinking of getting a gear s2 with a speaker in it. Can you confirm messages/calls work with the Bluetooth connection?
Anyone using Samsung Gear Circle bt headphones with this phone? Level U work fine (notification, music off when closed, etc. Gear circle does none of this

Question Hacks

Can the Samsung Galaxy 4 watch be used to hack into my phone? if so, how can I tell?
Visit China and connect to a free wifi and then come back and completely reverse engineer all the software on your device lol
On a serious note probably not unless someone can figure out how to use your Bluetooth connection between the watch and phone to launch attacks which is I'm sure definitely possible but it'd be far easier creating a fake Bluetooth device that mimick your watch and make the phone connect to it
