I was using a Nokia N8 device before I got this Samsung Galaxy SI9003 device. One thing I noticed on the galaxy is that packet data icon is always on on the top bar. The nokia N8 would connect and disconnect automatically when checking for emails in a schedule. Is this feature available on the android 2.2.3 platform?

It's hit or miss though, some users are not having any problems. I just had 2 friends try on their Captivates and they both are working fine. Tried on Wi-Fi and 3G.

For the hell of it, I loaded Axura and same issue with that ROM. Frustrating.

Agreed, I don't believe the issue is relative to Samsung but with the market. The more people who report it to Google the quicker we get it fixed.

Thanks but no change for me. Still cannot download anything I need especially Appbrain so I can easily restore all my other apps. I searched for some others manually like Angry Birds, Appbrain, Quadrant, Voice etc. Still cannot locate them. All the apps listed seem to be test apps.

Still no dice. I installed that market.apk, rebooted, tried again, fail, then applied SGS Tools market fix, rebooted, same issue. I am thinking it is a Google server side issue that needs to be fixed.
Hi guys, I have a Samsung Infuse on the MIUI rom and I just purchased a Iphone 4 and I would like to move to sms to my Iphone so I downloaded Backuptrans and its exactly what I was looking for but the only problem is it do not recognize my Infuse.
I was wondering if there was any fix for this problem I have debugging on and I installed drivers I was hoping it wasn't MIUI's fault.
Any suggestions?

I do have the drivers I'm running xp though.
I have straight talk also I don't think they will transfer them for me plus they are quite private..

ATT they will transfer and they wont look at your privates...LOL, :cyclops: believe I have had some things, they wouldnt want to look at :silly:, but they just hook it up to their yahoo transfer magic machine and boom done like in seconds...did this back in my shhhh iphone and blackberry days...shhh do not repeat that....LOL

Hi, you can try connecting your Android to the software via WiFi. Just update your backuptans software to the latest version then you will get the Wifi connection option.

Aweh thanks a lot bigjoe! I wasn't sure if they were going to look and see well lol.. ;p anyway thats a huge tip I might go up there this week and get my texts transfered over I found out the down side of backuptrans was it only transfer 10 texts at a time and I had well over that..

i think your hopes are really high for a watch.... there are nooooo custom roms for gear watches, they dont have gps, they dont have wifi, no gps, nothing.... this is why they must be tethered to a phone in order to be somewhat functional. imagine "surfing the web" on a 1.6" screen.... a keyboard? hmm might fit but you're going to be making alot of mistakes while typing on it because of its size... i dont see much happening in terms of usefullness like a phone is

What is funny is that root was released here on this forum and this guy found a copy of XDA thinking it was the actual release. He came back here and posted what was first posted here, you can find the thread easily...
If you use the swype feature on the android keyboard you can type really well. On the first gear I used dolphin browser and watched NFL games in meetings while connected to my nexus 5. Just saying the neo is the watch I use now and I am looking forward to doing the same thing since the battery last much longer.
I'm hopeful too. And if not, there should be some more open-source friendly watches coming out soon .
For the price I paid, I can't complain

Does anyone when our what's up with samsung pay app for the gear s2 is it out yet my watch says no payment app installed in the tap and pay section

Same problem here. I tried to use the tap-n-pay at a location where I normally use my Samsung Pay on my Galaxy S6 Edge, and nothing happened. On my Gear S2 watch I went into Settings/Connections/NFC, then scroll down to Tap and Pay - and I get a screen which says, "Tap and pay (then shows sketch of tap n pay) No installed payment apps"
And unfortunately there is no Samsung Pay app in the Gear app store. So upset about this.

Not for me. If the screen is on the always on clock then I get notifications. If its on the black only screen I get nothing. This isnt working like it should. Ive tired everything. Ive turned on always on mode and then turned of wrist gestures and the always on clock will only stay on for about an hour and then it will just be a black screen and Ill get nothing. With always on set to on and wrist gestures to on I will only get notification if the screen just turned off or always on clock showing.
Are you using the Oneplus 2?

Not for me yet.
Just a heads up. My battery life tanked after the update regardless of what I did. What fixed it was recharging a couple times. For some reason that worked.

No, it's really crazy that the $300 version of the Gear S2 still does not have automatic sleep tracking. I wish I could just flash it to the generic Samsung 3g firmware and be done with T-Mobile, but it doesn't seem to be a possibility (I started a thread here, but no responses so far: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gear-s2/general/gear-s2-3g-t-mobile-version-flash-to-t3518844 ).
I'd also complain to T-Mobile directly, maybe if enough of us complain, they'll do something about it.

Sure, not as much as you, but now, I've got a "low battery alert 15%" at 23h00 when, before, I get to bed at 00h30 with 35-40% battery left ! For sure, there is something that change (same watchface as before) !
Sadly, 2 charging (and even more than 10 actually) dont change anything for me

Not good. I recharged mine a couple times and did a factory reset and that seemed to do it. I'm actually getting far better battery life now. Over 24 hours and I'm only at 77%! I hope that keeps up! I cut out alot of stuff I don't use like NFC and constant wifi and heartrate checks. That sort of stuff.

At least T Mobile has released the update. Verizon never released the first value pack update nor have they released the newest update. Anyone know what is wrong with Big Red?

It seems you could clear ram through your phone. You might need to delete some stuff to free up enough memory
