100 is too much. But about 50 in amazon, and it gets better. My phone is in warranty process now, so i`ll wait till next week and order one. When I do, I`ll post some review.

Just wait for one of those 50% off accessories coupons from HTC and get it for $40 on their website.

Let me know how it is with a glass screen protector.

I love having waterproof cases so I couldn't help myself and thank god for HTC Champions. Was able to snag one up for 67.83 with 3-8 day shipping from their discount store we'll see how it performs right now I've been using my 6 Plus due to having a lifeproof on it now.
EDIT: Saw it on B&H Photo for $69.99 http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1130870-REG/htc_99h_20088_00_active_case_for_htc.html

Tried a waterproof case. But it can't do the normal use underwater.

I ordered one. I'll review it once it arrives next week (B&H has it for $70).

What do you mean? Of course you can't use a touch screen under water; that's the nature of the beast. Or do you mean that this HTC case isn't actually water resistant?

Just got mine. Fits fine with the .33 mm glass protector.
My one qualm is that you have to get used to pressing the buttons. Maybe it's the screen protector offsetting them, but the case clicks if you push the buttons wrong, possibly allowing air/water in.

That is probably due to your thick glass screen protector. Here's a video that explains why (it's on an iPhone 6 Plus, but the principal applies):
Also, (with me being paranoid with things like that,) because you've attempted to snap your case shut with such a thick screen protector installed, it would cause me (personally) to now distrust the water resisting ability of the cases seals, since you've now stretched the locking mechanisms.

I know .It can't do the normal use under the water. but even not under the water.

Are you saying that the case reduces functionality in general?

Yes, So do you have one workable for me?

Wow. $100 for a case, it's too expensive for me:crying:

It came today. Passed the initial soak test with no issue. Put my phone in, noticed that the buttons weren't responsive.
As it turns out, I didn't have the case snapped together properly. And the top will not stay snapped properly, and if you press on the back, the side with the volume buttons undoes its proper seal.
HTCs box says to contact the retailer, so I've reached out to B&H. Hopefully it was a manufacturing defect and not that my M9 is fatter than others'.

I got mine late last week, and while it is plenty waterproof, the ports for the usb charger are much too small for anything but the pen cable. As i use a car dock almost daily that has a special connector, that isn't going to work, so I'm gonna return it.

Yeah, exactly the same issue as mine. Takes a bit of pressure to snap the buttons into place, and the top doesn't stay shut.

My replacement from B&H should be here tomorrow. The first thing I'm going to do is try to make sure that it snaps shut properly. If not, I'm not risking my phone in it, and HTC will have made me sad.

Not really.
---------- Post added at 10:05 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:58 AM ----------
I received my replacement from B&H.
This one seals fairly better than the first, however still not as completely as the instruction booklet would have me believe. It passed the water test fine. I even dropped it from chest height into a cooler full of ice water and pop to impress my coworkers, and it was fine. The issue where you could squeeze it and it'd pop open is reduced on this case, but not completely gone; there's one spot that i can squeeze and the seal will appear to break.
So as of this time, my mini-review is as follows:
Better integrated screen protector than LifeProof can muster.
Better sound than LifeProof (though this is also probably due to the speakers).
Call volume in the ear piece is diminished (as to be expected), so don't expect to be able to take a call in a busy place.
Great hand feel, slim.
Not quite trustworthy (IMO) yet. I'd be fine with it to protect walking to the car, or riding a water ride at an amusement park. I don't know that I'd take it for a swim yet.
I've reached out to HTC on Facebook and Twitter and haven't received a reply yet.

Sensitivity of the screen in the water
Who can tell if the screen is easy to control?

[Q] Omnia 7 Shell Case

I, like many others i`m sure, is looking for a good quality shell for a Omnia 7. Can`t find anything as yet.
If you do see a good shell, please post a link here.
Thank you!!
I bought this one from eBay which has arrived today:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SAMSUNG-I8700..._MobilePhonesCasesPouches&hash=item43a3706915
It's ok, thought I would recommend getting the black one rather than the smoked one I have. The only issue I have is that the sleep, camera and volume buttons are a bit difficult to press with the case one. I think it may soften or loosen up with a bit of use so I'll keep it on for now and see how it goes.
DC
Yup they soften up
i was the same. But few days now and they are nice and easy to press.
I did give them a bit of a warming up by clicking them a fair few times, but does work to loosen the silicone up.
I got the black one as you can see by this post/pics
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=9470551#post9470551
I'm struggling with screen protectors though. I ordered some cheapy ones from a German seller but, with the greatest of respect, they're utter dogsh1t. Far too thin, scratched by a piece of card I was using to push bubbles out.
I really want to find a nice anti-glare protector if I can, otherwise I'll be going the Martin Fields route.

Sounds like you got the same ones as me, That's my 4th film heh... I know why they put 6 in there now but for £4........ or a scratched phone ?
Ether way mine is more protected than my other parts of me have ever been
btw i found it's less pressure with the card, and more laying it down and just ever so slowly backing it up and using the card to make sure the bubble you saw don't re-lay where it was.
I'm no expert but 1st go was a joke.... so many bubbles i laughed hard...
2nd better but no dice,
3rd was brilliant apart from a few bits, and my mind just made me take it off and start again
4th was perfect give or take 1 - 3 bubbles i can live with until i try again
You want to hear how my mate managed with an ipad XD
I am having trouble finding screen protectors as well. I think I ordered the same thing as you guys (bedifol ultraclear) from protectionfilms24 but when I went to their site, it seems it's pretty much their lowest range and looking at the reviews for the various cuts they offer for other phones, I am just wondering if it's worth not having a screen protector at all.
Please let me know if you have managed to found one that is good.
Cheers.
Low range - high range.... It was ALL that was out when i got the phone/wanted protection
It does what it says.
It protects the screen XD
0.05mm thick - Same as the "one" for £8 which i bought as with the £3 one to test all of them, Recently bought the martin fields and imo... it tints it for me.... i like the clear/glazed protectors which look like the glass it should be.
So 6 for £4 is win win
I got a screen protector from here http://www.devdef.com/products/for-samsung-omnia-7 (actually I got two), but I found that they're pretty good and by far the easiest to install of any screen protector I've ever used. To apply it, you need to moisten it (instructions are on the site), and then you can slide it over the surface of the phone, before it dries, until you get the perfect positioning. Bubbles are also easy to remove because of this - you just have to do it before it sets. The only drawback, really, is that it's pretty reflective. I don't notice very much in use, but it reflects bright lights quite a lot, so if you're looking for anti-reflective coating, I'd give this a miss. Also on a plus - it's pretty strong as you can see from the video on the site. Also, as the instructions say, it improves the longer it's on your device. Initially it looks a bit poor, but stick with it (no pun intended )

I got mine few weeks already from amazon:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/GEL-CASE-SA...W8MW/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1292094897&sr=8-3
Very nice indeed. And I am using savvy screen protector, little rubbery in touch but not bad at all
Yeah, I used fairy liquid and water, and you only need a tiny amount of fairy liquid - it's concentrated, you know ;-), and you also only need very little of the solution on the screen protector. Also, as I mentioned it looks pants to start off with, and it takes a while to dry, but eventually it looks fine. If you like a shiny screen protector.
I bought both of them on eBay. Very fine !

I am looking for a case which is similar to my incipio feather for iphone 4 and as far as I can see they don't exist and I detest gel cases with a passion so will continue to wait.
Very slippery phone to hold too!
Seen the perfect one but not in stock for weeks (judging by the galaxy s model).

As promised the pics of the CM barely there case.
edit: It also came with a free screen protector & a piece of cleaning cloth which I haven't used yet. Waiting for my current screen protector to be bit more scratched up (martin fields). Shouldn't take long.
That case looks really good just a pity I had to send my Omnia 7 away for repair!
What bothers me with these case is that I won't feel the cold metallic, sturdy cover finish in my hand anymore Is there any possibility to have a bumper instead?

SW2 - Real bad build quality? (pic)

Last night, when my friend play with my sw2, he told me that the power button's hard to press, i think it's normal since the power button is a bit loose from the start
but in this morning, when i have a look at sw2, OMG, the screen is kind of peeled off at the right side, you guys please have a look at this, i have nothing to say about this **** anymore!

Don't worry, mine had it too.
A pinch of glue and it won't move.
The same problem posted. Luckly it did not happen on my SW2 yet.
Smartwatch 2 problems
Minor issue. It has been discussed.
In fact, I ride a motorcycle every day, and worried that mine would do that and fall out. I kept pushing on it occasionally to check it. Finally, after 6 weeks, I got it loose a couple of days ago. A bit of glue, and I suspect it is better than new. And it won't fall out if the USB cover is in place.
i wouldn't call a watch coming apart within months or even days a minor issue
it's been reported many times already, so yes, i would call this bad build quality
the screen isn't coming off, it's the entire plastic inside with screen and electronics that's coming loose from the alu frame
yes, you can fix it with some glue, but this really shouldn't happen
I have to agree with JarISX. Sony is reputable large corporation and should be on top of everything they release. It maybe a quick fix but if anybody knows this issue prior to purchase, he/she would not purchase it at all. They should have had a better quality control on their devices.
Instead of some weak glue, they should have gone with couple of screws.
It did not happen to me yet but now I expect it to.

Probably right.
I look at it as minor, because I knew about it before I got the watch, and I went ahead and got it anyway. The previous discussions and photos made it obvious what was going on. I was looking forward to seeing more of the 'innards', but was disappointed to see that the watch module is very well sealed (outside of the USB jack).
I believe glue there is fine. After all, screw holes would be more points for water to get in. But they used the wrong glue. It was bonded to the frame and almost impossible to remove. But it did not bond to the plastic watch module at all.
what glue do you guys suggest using?
I used superglue... worked so far but you can see a little bit of it on the bottom now - superglue is very fluid
Gesendet von meinem GT-N7100 mit Tapatalk
If that happens to my watch I will return it.
The watch is supposed to be IP57 certificated. A drop of superglue won't do the trick in that regard.

The glue goes all around the watch body which itself is completely sealed, so it impairs in no way the IP57 certification.
It might not be the glass fixture issue. You may try to push the module upward from the bottom of the case. Then you can see magically that the whole module can slide out from the top. You determine by yourself if this is a minor issue of major issue.
my power button was a bit loose at first, but after a few pushes i guess it settled in place and now its perfect. My screen is def not popping out from one side. I would return it to Sony ASAP
I notice this same effect with my SW2 today. The screen had lifted up from.the other side too and button didnt work - it was jammed. I had to push the screen back to get the button to work. Now the button feels odd... The watch is 3months old. I think I send it to Sony - minor issue or not, but not my problem to fix it - not even then when it is only a drop of glue.
it's not the screen, it's the entire plastic unit coming loose from the aluminium frame, happened to me as well, glued it back together with super glue, didn't feel like going though the hassle of convincing support i didn't do anything weird with it not did i want to wait for weeks (or longer) for it to be repaired
I chose to send it

I got the same problem after 1 month of normal using, sent it to Sony SEMC Repair (France). I thought I was gonna wait for weeks but in 3 days I got another one ! The only problem is that they send you a device that has been sent to after sales service before so mine is a but special now (screen is not perfectly parallel to the edge of the watch, kinda weird, let's see if it's problematic)
If you live in Europe, don't hesitate to send it to sony because in the first 6months of using, problems are supposed to be builder's fault.

I didnt understand the end of the message... but anyway... do you mean that they send an used unit back to you? And you dont get a new one for a replace or your own watch back?
If I send mine to Sony, I definitely want my own back: i have put a screen protector on it and needed to shorter the metal band (=cost money). Also, the battery isnt changeable so I wont accept any used one because you dont know how good the battery still is or how bad it is treated , if you know what I mean...
Sent from my N8000.
i'd also want mine back, or a new one
and certainly not with a screen that's not correctly aligned
i don't know where you get the info about the 6 months guarantee in Europe, here in the Netherlands it's at least 1 year
Wrong Thread.
LOL, my very first SW2, the one from the 1st post, has died, after around 3 months working time, no power, no screen, no whatsoever... Damn suck!
After that, i went to Pebble, but i can't bear the "screen quality" of its, so i went back to SW2, this time it's a silver one, hope it live long enough until the Android Wear device arrive

Its a cover, not a case. It covers the screen, and folds into a stand. Thats all it was ever meant to really do. Protect the screen when its not in use. If you think of it like that instead of 'this doesn't protect my tablet at all!', it really does what its supposed to. The magnets could be stronger (they're strong enough in the kb case,) and it could be a better design like the iPad covers, but for $20? Sure, I'll bite.

Agreed. A piece of cardboard is a bit better than this overpriced piece of trash.
I just received mine today and I got to say, I am very impressed! Both the package and the cover itself feel very premium.
The cover itself is very thin and light and therefore adds minimal weight and bulk, which I like. Why buy a light and thin device to only make it heavy and bulky with some clunky case? With that said, this is a COVER, not a case.
The magnets are stronger than I expected. The cover stays connected to the device quite well. I didn't think I could do this but it's very easy to flip it from front to back like you would a smart cover.
It's very easy to fold it into a stand. I wasn't sure how to do it at first but it just happened. The magnets definitely helped getting the parts to fold as they should.
The camera app launched very quickly when the flap is folded down. I'm not sure how often I would use this feature as I rarely use the tablet's camera but it's definitely neat.
Had I bought this at full price, I probably wouldn't be as excited. However, at $20, I am VERY happy with it.
just received mine as well. Haven't ripped the seal yet. Video to come.

Got mine couple of days ago and thought I chime in on the product.
First, I'm very glad I paid only $20 for this cover and in all honesty, I think HTC should only charge $10-$15 for this thing. My break down as below.
Design: A-
The design focused on packing in the standard cover features (cover, stands, etc.) into one simple cover. I think the did well with the folding cutouts and magnets are pretty unique.
Applicability/Usuablity: C-
Although the design concept is great, but the actual experience is far from their conceptual design. I think mostly is due to the magnet not begin strong enough on both N9 and the cover. When used to cover the front of the tablet, the magnets is very weak that you can basically slide the cover off the alignment quite easily. This is quite annoying because you then now have to adjust to how you should flip a cover open, basically, it requires you to open the cover gently so that the cover stays aligned with the tablet.
Because the magnet is not strong enough, don't expect the cover to hold on to your tablet slip out of your hand.
Value: C- (for $20) and D-- (for $40)
For 50% off coupon, it's worth a shot but I'm still left unsatisfied because my $8 bumper case (without stand capability) looks and function more sturdier than this cover.
With a $40 price tag, I say F that.
Hope this helps.

I have not come across this case or company, but my initial impression is this case is pretty hardcore. I myself am a technician out in the field looking for a more ruggedized case. The only things that sticks out to me that I wouldn't like are the branding and the screws. If you don't ever plan on switching this case out then it's fine, but for me personally I like to switch out cases depending on occasion and I wouldn't want to carry this bulky thing for a night on the town. For people who like to switch you have to take into consideration not to lose the screws. The price seems appropriate, but with as heavy duty as this case is I'm surprised they didn't make it waterproof.
I had an iblason armourbox on my old phone (nexus 5) and it was full body like the love mei but all just clipped over itself together but I can't find anything else similar yet for the Z5. I like the look of this love mei case but it looks like it could be annoying for some reason

Sent from my Xperia z5 by Tapatalk
I' planning on getting one for summertime adventures at the lake / river, but I also wouldn't use it on a daily basis, just when I want to be extra sure that it's sufficiently waterproof, perhaps beyond sony's official suggested use.
I used one on my Z2 (sent it back, due to front glass being loose, and didn't order another since it didn't really suit me). Here's pros and cons, at least for me. You might not mind them.
Pros:
-ROCK SOLID build quality. All (real) metal, with (real) front glass screen protector. There's multiple layers to the case, and I felt like a freaking bullet could hit it.
-Very reasonable price
-Lanyard hole
-Really gorgeous finish, paintjob is top-notch and feels great (I had the red one)
Cons:
-RIDICULOUSLY heavy, though this might not bother you. This took the weight of my Z2 from 163g to 393g.
-A lot bulkier than the photos make it look. This fits into almost no pockets without awkwardly pushing it with force into and out of them.
-If for whatever reason you want to take it off, you need the screwdriver, and when you have it, it takes a good almost-minute or so to take it on or off.
-No fingerprint scanner (at least in your case)
-It's not waterproof, so if submerged or put under a tap, water easily gets in, and sits against the glass screen protector, meaning you have to take the case off, wipe the glass and put it back on.
Honestly, I'm sure you don't care about 90% of these, and just want a solid, rugged, affordable case. In that case (pun intended ;3), grab it. They're really well made and should protect against anything.

Don't for that, it actually removes the waterproofing ability. Water easily gets in the case, and sits against the phone, which can actually damage the phone if left for long enough. Also, it sits against the glass front panel of the case, and presses the screen, meaning you have to take the case off with the damn screwdriver and dry it.
Lol thanks. I'm thinking maybe a case mate tough with tempered glass front may be a better option

Oh, really? good to know. That's super annoying. I bought a cheaper case for my galaxy note 2 http://goo.gl/lLD9yU and it works like a charm! I took my phone swimming this last summer and in the river and all over the place. It was awesome. I just don't like the galaxy lineup because they don't have a dedicated camera button, which really helps when trying to film or photograph underwater. (I'm also annoyed that their current lineup doesn't have a micro SD card slot anymore.) One time, It even fell off of my arm band and had fallen like 16 feet before I noticed. I had to dive down after it. I'm glad I got the white one. If I had gotten a darker color, I'd never have seen it as it was falling. anyway, the upshot is, I recovered my phone and water never got into the case. I really hope this cheap, knock-off manufacturer will also make cases for the z5 because I'm exceedingly happy with the one for my note 2.
Love Mei case
I had Love Mei case for z2 that was stolen few weeks ago. Getting new phone by 1 Dec,
Ordered case for Z5 on 1 Nov from love mei website direct. Stupid enough to pay extra for speedy delivery and order is still processing after 20 days. not even sent from them with a tracking number.
Not responding to emails. $49 in the water
I have this case now and it was cool at first but now its annoying. It's heavy, my fingers barely could drag down the status bars in both landscape and portrait mouse and dust build in the cut out for the front camera lens and sensor. I'm going to the devil bumper case soon. But it did protect you phone well (even tho I really never dropped it) but it'll protect your 700 dollar investment.
Edit:
Just realized that it covers the notification light
And the dust that piles up inside is ridiculous.
I have this and it is heavy not waterproof and the camera button does not work properly you can turn on the camera but you can't take pictures but other than that it provides a good protection but there are better ones out there
The case isn't that bad. Today it's my fifth day using it and it does its job. The first two days it made my z5 look like a phablet but I got used to the look and the feel (I have some big hands so there are no problems with touching any of the screen corners with the thumb :good. It has 3 layers: a metal plate on the back, some rubber too and the protective glass on the front (you get 6 screws for the front and other 2 just in case+2 screwdrivers). The rubber buttons press like there is no case on them. Unfortunately the case is too protective so it covers the fingerprint scanner. Overall, the case does its thing and it's a bestbuy if you don't mind losing the fingerprint scanner and having a solid look

Note 20 Ultra 5G - Paint chipped??

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G, i have left on all the original coverings and added a Spigen Neo Hybrid case which i had for my S10+... i clean my device weekly and it seems that despite it being in a case and screen protected etc. the paint along the bottom of the screen (where the screen meets the bottom) appears to have chipped off along the edge. Has anyone else had this kind of issue with theirs, its not been dropped or anything... pretty annoyed that my black phone has a nice shiny silver chip out of the bottom... I have a Galaxy Watch that has been around quite a bit and has stood the test alot better than this £1200 phone protected by cases and covers... quite disappointed...
EDIT: Finally got a pic...

Pics?
Sounds like a manufacturing defect ie improperly prepped metal
If your within any relevant cooling off period then send it back for a refund or replacement.
If they question the chip explain what's happened and see what they say.
Be prepared for them suggesting it's user caused however
I'll try and get a pic, will have to use the Mrs phone to do so ? I've had it a month now so well outside of the colling off periods, will get a pic and post later

All along the bottom edge is definitely a manufacturer defect. Of course I assuming you don't use MEK to clean your screen
One concern is if the damage goes below the glass it will breach the seal and may allow water, moisture and dust to get inside.
If that's the case it should to be replaced.

I had something similar to what your describing happen on my s10 and s20. For some reason I've always had better luck with the Notes. Would return the S series until I finally got one that was solid.
Samsung should have gone with an anodized finish... goofballs.

What, what, what? That image gave me spacial disorientation.
I see what maybe looks like a small nick...
Result, I finally got 5 minutes to nip into the o2 shop and ask for their opinion, they told me to contact samsung... so I did a samsung chat, who then told me to call samsung, after 4 attempts at getting through to the right people they then told me to call O2... so I did an O2 chat and after being transferred 3 times and arguing the fact my phone was still within the 30 day period they have agreed to swap it... wonder why I put off contacting anyone ?

Yeah It was difficult to describe to as its silver on black its standing out like a sore thumb to me... considering it was under protection too... I have not tried to overplay how big it is to anyone I have mentioned it too, and most people would probably move on with their lives, but I have a bit of obsessive compulsion to keep my devices looking new and this happening through no fault of my own has been driving me mad
Good to hear you achieved a satisfactory.
In the Uk its the seller of the phone that applies the warranty so it was right to contact o2.

The image isn't that good plus no stereoscopic vision on it.
Looks like impact damage but could have happened during production or assembly.
Doesn't look like the case seal is compromised.
I be inclined to send it back especially if I knew it wasn't caused by me. That's a lot of down time though.
If the case seal is intact ie it's a clean nick with no hairline fractures extending under the screen, your call.
If it's covered by the case, you seldom see it.
When you eventually have it serviced you could have the frame replaced but Samsung certainly won't cover it then.
Meh, I feel your pain
I have same issue! Top left corner, bottom left corner, and in between those 2 corners paint is peeling off. it's 2 month old phone, never dropped, always in my hands... Damn it's 1400eur phone with most quality issues...
Green tinted display, heat issues, paint peeling off, etc...
