G360V Newb - Samsung Galaxy Core

Hey. I just got the Galaxy Core Prime G360V from Verizon. A couple things....sorry if these questions have been answered but there is a lot of info on this site and too much to search thru. I would like to unlock the phone to use with T-MO. From looking at the specs, it operates on LTE 1700 and 2100 which I believe are T-Mo's bands. How? Z3X or similar or unlocking service? Lollipop ROM anywhere? Which root method is the best? Thanks in advance!

[Q] Is 3G/UMTS/WCDMA 850mhz band accessible?

Hi,
Just wondering if this device has the ability to unlock the 850mhz band through the hardware menu like many of the other Samsung devices?
Im currently after a device that runs UMTS/WCDMA 850mhz and LTE1800mhz bands.
Thanks for any help

thanks for your reply. I have seen all those spec sheets on gsmarena and phonearena many times before.
However, I just realised this isnt the phone i was meant to aim the question at lol. I was looking for the Samsung Galaxy S 2 HD LTE phone forum. My mistake, please remove if required.
thanks.

[Q] GT-P6200 or 6200L ?

I'm getting some conflicting information and I know that I can get an accurate accounting right here...
I'm told that the P-6200 model will operate on ATT network but EDGE only speed and that I need the P-6200L model to get full 3G speeds.
Is this correct?
I'm on the same boat. Cannot decide which one to get.
I was told you can flash modem from p6200l to p6200 to enable 850mhz 3g. But I'm not so sure. Has anyone tried this?
Here is the link.

I think it's the band frequency, I got this from Samsung's website:
P6200:
3G 900 / 1,900 / 2,100 MHz
P6200L:
3G 850 / 1.900 / 2.100 MHz
Here you can find more info:
P6200 http://www.samsung.com/my/consumer/mobile-devices/tablet/tablet/GT-P6200UWAXME-spec
P6200L http://www.samsung.com/latin_en/consumer/mobile-devices/tablets/galaxy-tab/GT-P6200UWLTPA-spec

So, the correct answer for the ATT network is the 6200L. Can you confirm?

Yes, the P6200L works with AT&T 3G and actually is the model sold on Amazon. I was looking on the AT&T Galaxy Tab 8.9 specs and it works with UMTS Triband,850/1900/2100MHz the same as P6200L.
http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/galaxy-tab/SGH-I957ZKAATT-specs
Not even one merchant on Amazon has the 6200L. Each model is the straight up 6200! Show me where on Amazon I can get it!
and BTW. THIS is NOT a 6200L because I've already emailed the seller and asked. It is a mistake: amazon.com/Samsung-GT-P6200-P6200L-GALAXY-Tab/dp/B007I5E3IK Put a www in front of amazon for the link
Look at this comment from a guy who bought the tablet:
" I bought this tablet because I thought it was model GT-P6200 as that is what the title says. In reality, it was GT-P6200L which has a few important differences. The first is that it did NOT use 3G on the T-Mobile network. Maybe it does on other networks. Perhaps "Unlocked World Tablet PC" was the code-phrase that should have warned me. "

I'll call them. And I don't care about T-Mobile, just ATT. But now I wonder: do they make a quad-band variant? One that does 850 & 900?
Yes, you should call because on that link you can see that the specs of 3G Bands are 850 / 1900 / 2100.
So, did you get the information if it is the P6200L?
I called T-Mobile, today. I have the 6200L. T-Mobile started offering unlimited 3G/4G for $20 a month, so I signed up. Turns out that I can only use Edge with this model when using T-Mobile. This is what the T-Mobile tech rep told me, anyway.
I read the info above this post, so I want to confirm. Does GT-P6200L work with 3G/4G using T-Mobile, or not? If so, I need to make some config change. If not, I have to find a new model of tablet to use. I am not going to go back into the dark ages and settle with Edge. Why on Earth would T-Mobile do this, anyway?
No, T-Mobile uses 1.700MHz for 3G right now, but it should work on the new 1.900MHz frequency that T-Mobile is deploying, that's because they want the iPhone to be compatible with their 3G. For now only some regions are covered by the 1.900MHz 3G, here you can read more: http://www.gsmarena.com/tmobile_usa_running_1900mhz_3g_in_some_areas_iphones_invited-news-3537.php
4G will never work since it's the LTE technology and our tablet doesn't support it.

T-mobile One S converting to International model?

Hi guys, it's time to upgrade from my old Desire, and One S seems to be really the best replacement.
Unfortunately in my country there are just Z560e models, Z520e models are trading on much higher price
So I'm wondering can I get a T-mobile US version, flash an international RUU and use it with Europe 3G networks?
Here we use primary 900/2100 for 3G.
Sorry if this question is already asked, I searched a lot for the last couple of hours with no satisfying answer coming up.
Thanks

All T-Mobile US One S phones come with s4 processor. s3 One S phones are made for Asian markets.
With T-Mobile branded version you have to super CID it in order to flash different region RUUs.
Sent from my HTC One S
how I can perform this procedure if I have a htc 3g band 900/2100 and I have the 1900 as I do I have an s4

The One S is an awesome upgrade from teh Desire, trust me
Here is a table and some frequency info, but you should probably doublecheck with your carrier if you manage to find someone there who understands what you talk about;.)
http://www.anandtech.com/show/5868/htc-one-s-review-international-and-tmobile/7
From the review:
What’s awesome about the T-Mobile HTC One S is that it supports 2100 MHz UMTS Band I and AWS alongside Cellular 850 MHz and PCS 1900 MHz. The result is that if you either can find one unlocked, or unlock your T-Mobile One S, you get a quad-band phone which supports DC-HSPA+. I managed to get T-Mobile to unlock my One S, and had no issue using it on AT&T. If anything, I wish AT&T would carry a device like this, since I find the smaller form factor very appealing.

I checked already and my carrier is migrating from 2100 to 900 for the 3G.
T-Mobile doesn't support 3G on 900 Mhz, anyway GSM (voice) is quad-band and can work worldwide.
Hm.. I don't see working S-off or I'm wrong?
No S-off yet
I see s-off is not needed for SuperCID and people are changing their CIDs to flash the latest OTA update.
So everything about de-branding US T-Mobile version boils down to the question "is the hardware compatible with the international RUU and will it have working 3G in Europe?"
I still can not find a trusted answer of this question....

Then you should PM torxx. As he did TrickDroid for TMO US and the international version as well, he could be able to answer this question reliable.
You may find answers as well in these Threads:

Also searching there is a bit harsh...

[Q] Is it possible to unlock LTE basebands?

Hi all,
Apologies if this has already been asked, I did search beforehand.
As you know the OPO does not support LTE band 20, which is what O2 UK used for their 4G LTE signal. Does anyone know if the LTE bands can be unlocked via firmware? Or is it a limitation in the hardware?
Many thanks

I believe it is a limitation of the hardware. Do you have the OPO already?
I do, yes. It definitely does not pick up any 4G signal on O2. Thanks for your answer, not what I hoped but oh well
..
Long story short, we have attempted to unlock band 20 with no success on the opo.
..
Hummm search and read is hard stuff....
