Hi all,
I've heard it is possible to flash a AWS modem onto a i757m S2 and have it work with AWS bands, but searching through the forums hasnt yeilded any results. If anyone has any idea if its possible or if Im just wasting my time looking it would be great. Any feedback would be apppreciated.

Hi,
Just wondering if this device has the ability to unlock the 850mhz band through the hardware menu like many of the other Samsung devices?
Im currently after a device that runs UMTS/WCDMA 850mhz and LTE1800mhz bands.
Thanks for any help

thanks for your reply. I have seen all those spec sheets on gsmarena and phonearena many times before.
However, I just realised this isnt the phone i was meant to aim the question at lol. I was looking for the Samsung Galaxy S 2 HD LTE phone forum. My mistake, please remove if required.
thanks.
Is Samsung P6200 Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus capable of 3G/HSPA+ in US & Canadian networks?
Im planning to purchase this particular product and upon checking the specs, I only see 900/1900/2100 bands in its UMTS/HSPA band info. It lacks the 850 band on UMTS/HSPA which is essential here in the US and Canadian data connection. Any info is greatly appreciated.

850 is only supported with edge data connection. If you need that for 3g or hspa+ you are out of luck.

Thanks for your info. So I guess Im better off getting the Galaxy Tab 7.7 instead because its quadband on UMTS/HSPA which has 850 band. Its just more expensive though.

Wrong. P6200L has 850/1900/2100. I have one, so I know. Want to buy mine?
you can flash another region modem
with odin you can put the bin of a modem from other region to make 3g work. actually, the 6200L's modem
cheers

Are you out of your mind? You will end up bricking your device if you flash a different baseband. It's not a software problem, if the radio does not support a specific band there is nothing that you can do to make it work on that band.

you are wrong. the p6200 has the same hardware, the only thing changed is the firmware to protect regions. I already done that with my i9003 (had xxxkph fw but blb1 modem), never had a problem. and if you brick your phone.
please, research before post. cheers

Anyone still here from this discussion?
Im looking to get at least 3G and a voice connection on US Tmobile network, is this possible on any version of the tab plus?

Anyone actually try switching modems with these devices yet? I've got an itch to try it myself, but really don't look forward to getting burned.
flashing modems fro P6200's shouldnt be a big issue. flashing a tmobile modem onto P6200 could be dangerous. Although you should still always be able to flash a P6200 modem.
from my experience, modems are fairly interchangeable.
Recommend flashing with Heimdall or Mobile Odin.
remember tmobile modem does not have voice.
Hi all,
Apologies if this has already been asked, I did search beforehand.
As you know the OPO does not support LTE band 20, which is what O2 UK used for their 4G LTE signal. Does anyone know if the LTE bands can be unlocked via firmware? Or is it a limitation in the hardware?
Many thanks

I believe it is a limitation of the hardware. Do you have the OPO already?
I do, yes. It definitely does not pick up any 4G signal on O2. Thanks for your answer, not what I hoped but oh well
..
Long story short, we have attempted to unlock band 20 with no success on the opo.
..
Hummm search and read is hard stuff....

Hey. I just got the Galaxy Core Prime G360V from Verizon. A couple things....sorry if these questions have been answered but there is a lot of info on this site and too much to search thru. I would like to unlock the phone to use with T-MO. From looking at the specs, it operates on LTE 1700 and 2100 which I believe are T-Mo's bands. How? Z3X or similar or unlocking service? Lollipop ROM anywhere? Which root method is the best? Thanks in advance!

Hi. Have you found a solution yet?
Greetings to all!
I have a Samsung Note 4 (N910T) bought from T-Mobile USA and currently used in Europe where there's mobile cells using 900Mhz 3G (aka B8). Now, the N910T does not support that band and I am trying to find out whether there's a software solution to get that B8 band going on my N910T?
Any comments or suggestons are highly appreciated!
Cheers!:good:
